Current To any and all concerned. My apologies for the long silences and erratic activity. I've decided to take a longer hiatus instead of letting people wait. I hope to return again once I'm feeling better.

Blegh, sorry everyone for so many delays and waits. Got some time off next few weeks to start turning things back into my usual schedule. Life is not being kind at the moment for hobbies.

What makes me curious is *why* we shouldn't look. Just how bad is that number you're ashamed of people potentially looking at it?

Me continuously playing characters within some kind of sardonic spectrum. I guess that tracks...

Getting back in the flow of things after what felt like a year in Hell condensed down to two weeks. Expect replies over the weekend. Thank you everyone for your patience and kindness!

On hiatus until further notice.

Currently not in a good headspace for hobbies. My apologies to any and all roleplays I've joined or was about to join. I'm hoping to return when I feel a bit better.

Cheers,

Tiny Ellie post! Not sure how I'd introduce Spotty, yet. I feel he's more a remote help, not officially part of RR.
Dr. Ellie Price

Ellie assessed the poor paper quality with a bemused smile, the prints ruffling as she scanned through the case like a librarian flitting through a returned book. Nothing she hadn’t seen before where clinical descriptions and shocking photos were concerned. Her lips twitched in what might have been a snarl as child-like eyes stared back in fear and horror. That, at least, still affected her enough to know she hadn’t become desensitised just yet.

… Good.

The doctor straightened, alert, when Erin addressed her and Avalon with the same question she’d posed Marion, the late arrival. She’d clocked the subtle hint of a French lilt, curious if it was native or learned. A mental note was made to ask about it at a more appropriate time.

“I’d start with the bodies.” The doctor replied, predictably. She’d taken notice of the similar wounds. Cuts, bruises, torn lips… “Every assault leaves a pattern. Restraint marks, strike angles, sequencing. If these crimes are organised, the violence will repeat.” Bodies told their own detailed story if you knew how and where to look. Not just plain things like the instrument used or how old a mark was, but it told about intent and so much more.

“If we can show the same method across multiple victims, we can argue a coordinated group rather than isolated crimes. That might give us something the courts recognise as conspiracy.” Maybe even a profile of the perp. Or perps. The papers ruffled again, Ellie’s eyes stopped at the arrest MET made several years before. Dick. A fitting nickname, she thought, glancing at his mugshot. “I’d also double check that one’s case. Arson, was it?” A slim finger prodded harshly at that frowning mug, disdain dripped from her Welsh accent. “Check if there is overlap with the beatings. Locations, contacts.” A long shot, perhaps, but Ellie didn’t mind those if all they had was a handful of papers and some maybes.

“If I could see the victim’s records, perhaps we could correlate data there? Find out why these exact people have been targeted.” Her brow knitted as she read more thoroughly. “And how our group chooses them.”
… It is urgent.

That phrase always sparked tension and anxiety, but this time Ophelia’s mind lurched with serendipity and deja vu. The exact weight on her shoulder, a casual brush, the way that envelope slid neatly underneath the leather hardbound book. The Vigil wax seal still smelled faintly of strawberry-scented candle and burned metal, freshly written and delivered. She nodded when the Vigil member left, hands shakily adjusting the envelope to hide it further under the book like it could shield her from responsibility.

A weak smile. Wry and twitchy. Nobody would mind if she didn’t immediately read it, right? Right…

“Mama moose!” Ophelia stammered, fingers twitching whilst they fidgeted with a nervous crease on the page she had now read for the seventh time in a row. “I didn’t see you there,” Ophelia said timidly, turning away from the book for a moment to watch the old hunter sit down with the resignation of several retirees. “Good morning.” Her voice was softer than intended.

Silence wrapped awkwardly when the younger woman kept glancing at the envelope like it was capable of more than a papercut and a heavy set of orders. She swallowed nervously, plucking at the hardened wax with perfectly cut nails. “... I was going to open it.” She sighed. “Eventually.”

The muscles around Ophelia’s shoulders tensed slightly, lifting them as though the woman was expecting that familiar reprimand about responsibilities of a Vigil huntress; though defiance was more out of anxiety than actually hating the prospect of an assignment dragging her from safe monastery walls. She grimaced, lips twitching like she’d craved Naomi’s understanding. She kept staring at the seal, half-afraid she already knew where it would send her.
D'aww... If only I wasn't already in enough roleplays. The concept sounds interesting at least. I might lurk around if this thing ends up getting traction. :)
@Redking0380

Hey, Red, here's the lore post link. :)

I think signatures are disabled for users by default, which is why you're probably not seeing may's links.
Yeah, sadly I think it's run out of steam. I'd been debating doing another global post just to move us further into another chapter, but with the lack of response on my earlier post and with two people bowed out...

Sorry peeps. I tried.

I remember you mentioning to just get the basics up? :)

Got ourselves a cybergeek.

Also added Ellie to the character tab, figured I may as well.

Ylfa being the only mage from the Antarctik: "Ya'll motherfuckers ain't hardy enough for Winter."
@themaybreeze Going to do up a character sheet for him today! Just got back from a vacation where I was limited to my phone. Which is not ideal for creative stuff. :P
