Mithos sighed "of course. I was a fool to think that things were starting to go my way. Clearly getting picked up by a time machine was a fluke itself. Oh well, I suppose there is nothing to do but return to my book." Giving up, Mithos took back to the skies and flew to his room. Once there, he put the handheld device on his bedside table, while he picked his book back up and sat down. "Now let me see...where did I leave off? Ah! Here we go"

"Time travel apparently" was his answer "now if you'll excuse me, I have some business to attend to." Pocketing the now handheld device, Mithos left the building and took to the skies. Now airborne, he made his way to the rondaview point with the professor. As the meeting had only happened a few hours ago, he still remembered where it was. Thanks to his faster mode of transportation, he reached the spot a few minutes the 20 miniute marker. "Now all I have to do is wait"

This was all starting to get way to convenient. Still, Mithos was determined to milk it while it lasted "yes to both" he said in response to the AI's questions. 'I still remember where the meeting took place, so I should be able to fly there within the time limit without trouble' Mithos thought to himself. 'Although I wonder how I should explain this to her?" he pondered as he looked at Ranathia "oh well, I suppose I can cross that bridge when I reach it he shrugged as he left that particular line of thought "best to tackle my problems one at a time" he said out loud as he got on the teleporter "well then, I'm ready to be transported"

"It...looks like it really worked. Fascinating" Mithos thought aloud. While this brought up a great deal of questions, Mithos found that he couldn't be bothered to care. "So I should have a good 20 minutes to get into position. I had best wait for my past self to be finished with the professor before approaching the man. Then again...what would happen if I were to meat with my past self? Nothing good I suppose. It does not matter. If I do this right, then I should be able to avoid causing any changes that my past self would recognize. In fact, I might be able to replace him when he goes back in time. Wouldn't that be convenient? I wonder if the professor from my time ran into a future me? I suppose I have no way of finding out. Oh well. Now all I need is to find a way to exit this place"

Since Mithos had reached the point where he stopped being surprised by things, he took this in stride "right. A time machine too? That's quite convenient." Getting up he walked over to the controls and got to work. "Now let me see...today's date is..." he mumbled to himself as he started inputing the data "and I left through that portal at about..." he put in the rest. "Wonderful, now I can return mere seconds after I left. It is about time something good happened to me. Perhaps I have gone though all of my allotted bad luck for the day." Before he hit the key that would confirm his information, he suddenly had a thought "...or perhaps. Yes...that could work. I do need to confirm if his information was correct after all." Then Mithos changed the time, to 20 minutes before the meeting with the professor

Mithos softly cradled his head in his hands "I...I give up. I am finished with with this...this...whatever you call today. Let me know when the world decides to start making sense again." Things had gone too far for Mithos; his previous rage had faded and become apathy. It no longer mattered to him if he understood what was happening, he had resigned himself to simply go with the flow. "If anyone feels they need me, I will be right here; remembering much simpler times. Or perhaps you could simply send me back to Windgrace? I would very much like that."

Now this was getting really ridiculous. "Unbelievable...this is insane!" Pouring magic into his hand, he fired off an arrow of light at the wall in anger. "I did what you wanted! I walked into what very well could have been a trap to save this unpleasant woman. In fact...it was a trap, albeit not one for me. Why me? I don't care about here anymore then I would a random face on the street, so why send me!? Surely there had to be someone more qualified!" He yelled out to the voice that had brought him to the ruins. "And now I'm stuck in here with her...and whoever that is" he grumbled as he took note of the other person inside the room. Tired from everything he had been put through today, he sat down "I...need to rest"

Mithos was caught off guard by Ranathia's sudden screaming and explosion of power. Gritting his teeth, he strengthened his barrier as much as he possible could "unbelievable. I don't have time for this!" Grabbing Ranathia's wrist, he dragged the frozen woman out of the crumbling ruins. "This is not at all how I imagined my day would go" he grumbled to himself. The many recent events had left the normally bitter Mithos feeling extra steamed. "I wonder if all of this could have been avoided had I simply been sick today?" he mused to himself. 'I have no idea what has come over her' he thought, looking at Ranathia 'but the last thing I need on my hands is a hysteric woman.'

Kingdom Hearts: Shattered Planes (Working Title)
