This was it! His very first battle as a member of a guild, and this team. This was the tome to show off the fruits of his long hours of hard work and dedication to his training "you are but the first stepping stone on my path to greatness stranger. Now taste the fiery inferno of my soul!!!!!!!!!1!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kamina cried out before releasing a storm of flaming pellets. And lo, they were both scorching and numerous as they flew along their path to the pink creature before him. Alas, the poor thing. For it was about to feel the full force of Kamina's blazing spirit. One could only pray that the poor being's very existence wasn't consumed by the fires. For it's fate was now in Arceus paws now.
A small frown marred his face as Kat broke off the hug, but he understood that they were running out of time "I don't understand why people seem to dislike your cat ears and tail. I like them. They look so cute and fuzzy." Just then, Ryan's serge of bravery vanished "gah!" he squeaked "d-d-d-did I j-j-just say the out l-l-loud?"
Well this was...odd, to say the least. Oh well, at least these ghosts didn't seem as violent as most usually were. Maybe he could talk them down. "Um...excuse me. I hope I'm not coming at a bad time, but I'm here about the disturbances you've all been causing. Normally, most ghosts are far more violent and irrational then you all seem to be, so I'm usually forced to put them down the hard way. This time however, I'm hoping we can all talk this out calmly and maturely. I'm sure we can come to some sort of understanding. So if we could all just calm down and talk, that would be just great" J Keet said to the mass of ghosts
Putting away his sword and releasing the gravity well, Baron said "sorry about that then. Since the oracle just happened, we can't be too careful. I wouldn't be surprised if this place was swarming with desians, trying to take out the Chosen." Looking back at the dead priest, he continued "but still, this is a bad sign. Even without checking him for wounds, I can safely assume that it wasn't a monster that killed him. The monsters around here are pretty weak, and any priest worth their salt could easily take them. So that means that it had to be a person that killed him. Which begs the question; why?"
In truth, Ryan didn't really care if Kat hurt those boys (though he did draw the line at permanent harm), he only stopped her because he was worried about her getting in trouble. So he was fine with that apparent fear spell that she put on them, assuming he heard heard her right. Feeling a surge of courage, he wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a big hug "it's okay Kat. A few nasty words is nothing compared to the cold loneliness that used to fill my life, or what the Witches my age used to do to me. You don't have to worry about people saying bad things about me......although...it makes me happy to have someone care enough to get mad." Then, he added with a in a whisper in her ear "I didn't care what happened to them, only what the school was going to do to you when they found out. So don't worry; your secret's safe with me. Let's just hope no one else figures out what you did"
Quickly grabbing his meister's hand to stop her, Ryan said "don't Kat, he's not worth it. If 'evil idiot witch boy' is the worst thing he can think of to call me, then he's not worth either of our time. Hell, I've heard much better insults coming from Witches half his age. Besides, I think he needs the ego boost. He's trying to be a bully, and people only become bullies to make themselves feel better. Maybe his parents don't love him, maybe his partner is thinking about leaving him for someone else, or maybe he's just feeling confused about something; like his sexuality. So please don't hurt him, he's clearly in enough pain already. He deserves our pity, not our hate" He said "but...it makes me feel happy to see you rush to my defense like that" he blushed
