Two days ago, Mike Cove woke up felling better then her had ever felt in his life. His chest felt fine, his limbs didn't ache, and no headache. Oh, and there was also that strange floating text box that said that he was fully healed. If not for the shock of feeling healthy, seeing that might have gotten a more vocal reaction out of him. However as it was, he was so overloaded with information that he was able to processes it without losing his head. To celebrate his new health, he ran around the house squeeing all the way. When his parents saw him, they were briefly stunned by the sight of their sickly son doing something that should have made him double over in pain. One trip to the hospital and a building of confused doctors later, and they had confirmed that Mike was 100% healthy. Sure, his body was still weaker then other kids his age, but still, his current condition was nothing short of a miracle

More text boxes popped up that day; one telling him he just got a new quest (go to the hospital) and another saying he completed it. As insane as it sounded, Mike had a theory; it was the simplest explanation. So when he was finally alone again, he commanded his inventory to open...and it did. Somehow, someway, his life had become a video game...and he was alright with that. After that, he checked on his stats and skills before going to bed.

The next day, he began to go over every RPG and MMO he had ever played, looking for some skills to try to learn. It was a long shot, but hey, it couldn't hurt to try. He was also informed that his parents had enrolled him in public school, now that he was healthy enough to attend. Mike was excited to hear that. Sure it would be a big adjustment, but he wasn't too concerned about the curriculum. Considering he already studied things he wasn't being taught in his 'class' for fun, he felt that he would be fine.

Now we come to today, where Mike is currently working on trying to learn some skill. His parents were both out, and he was in the backyard. Living on the end of a cul de sac gave his backyard some cover, so he could work in peace. 'My highest stats are INT and WIS. So I'm starting out with caster stats. Ok, that's fine with me. I've got a good idea what INT does...but not so much WIS. Does it work like Spirit in DFO and is basically the magical equivalent of VIT, or does it effect my MP more then INT. I wish there was some sort of guide for this. Oh well. Assuming I get stat points to use when I level up, I should try to keep my base INT and WIS balanced.' He thought to himself 'I wonder if there are elements in this...whatever this is. If there is, then I might get to have a Light skill right at the start. Ok then, first on the list; Nen Shot. Sure, it might basically be a Hadouken, but considering that the Hadouken is used by physically fit people, it might work like Ki from Dragon Ball. If that's the case, then I'm better off with something that I know will use the INT stat...not that I know what I'm going to uses this stuff for. I guess that after having been confined to my room for so long, I've gotten a little stir crazy' he added to himself. "Well, here goes nothing. Nen Shot!" he cried out as he thrusted his palms forward, trying to will whatever internal energy his body had out through them as a ball of light
Alright, cool. I'll get to work on my first post

Your character would have to be a brand new student then (as he would have gotten the power just two days ago like all of the others except Ren did). Also for the sake of making things easier I am going to have Jester's and Snow's characters just not be there for now (so it would just be Rainer, Ren, Sasha, and Lucian) as they will have just gone home after the battle, not wanting to take part in this anymore.

That was pretty much what I had in mind. I'm based on the last page of the IC, I'm assuming that school is already over (I try to avoid reading posts that don't involve my characters, so that they know everything that I know. That way I can avoid unintentionally metagaming), after you confirm that, I'll work on my post.

Does your character go to school? (cause if so he would go to Gekkoukan High in the Port Island District)Other than that, your chara is good and accepted.

We could say that his gamer body cured whatever ailments he had (since game characters can recover from pretty much anything with a good nights rest) so his parents decided to send him to public school. However, his body is still suffering from weak physical stats from his years of illness (hence his low STR DEX and VIT)
This is a character idea I've had for some time, and I think this RP might be a good place to try it out

Name: Mike Cove

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: Mike is a very outspoken boy. While he often doesn't know how to behave in social situations, he doesn't let that stop him. Taking a page from Thomas Edison's book; he doesn't make social mistakes, he just learns what not to do. Despite his frail body, he is a surprisingly cheerful boy, loving life and doing his best to make the most out of everyday. Because of his lack of social experience, he doesn't pick up on most social cues. That means that he's likely to pay more attention to what someone says, and not how they say it. Despite his cheery demeanor, he does have a darker side; having been his primary companion since he was a small child, he holds books in the highest of regards, and anyone he catches mistreating one will bring upon themselves the full might of his sickly kinda sorta crippled wrath

History: Mike was born a very sick baby, and he didn't get much better as time went on. During the first year of his life, Mike's weak body almost failed on him more then most people's do in their life. However, as the first year of his life began to end, he started to stabilize. While he was still very sick, his life was no longer in constant danger. The reason for his bad heath is most likely because of complications his mother had during her pregnancy, although it's really just an educated guess.

Because his parents worried for his life (not unjustly so) they home schooled him. While this kept him close to his supply of medicine if he ever needed it, it deprived him of social contact with other kids his age. For a long time, Mike was very lonely and bored. However most of that changed when he discovered books. Draw by the written word, Mike devoured any book he could find. He read all sorts of books; fiction, poetry, textbooks, you name it. By the time he was in 6th grade, he was reading high school level materiel

His world suddenly grew when he discovered something else; video games. They quickly became a much more real feeling escape from his tiny world. Suddenly, he was experiencing worlds he had only read about. He was fighting monsters and saving worlds. Not that this cut into his book reading, no sir. Mike had simply become such a quick reader that books just didn't last as long as they once did.

Saw this advertised in the IC looking for new players. I would love to join, since not only does the concept excite me, but this RP was my introduction to the Manwa in the first place. I'll get working on a CS
Just wanted to say that I'm still here. I'm waiting for the plot before I post again
Kamina began spewing Ember pellets at any enemy that came close. Sure, he probably wasn't doing much damage, but it was still something. "Hah! Feel the fury of my burning soul!" he cried out before he continued to fire off the small Ember bolts. One somehow managed to hit a Shellos in the eye. Resistant or not, that hurt pretty bad

"Gah, my eye! You stupid worthless fish, you hit me in the eye!" The Shellos complained

"Worthless fish eh? Could a worthless fish have learned to fire flames from his mouth!?" Kamina asked in a triumphant voice "I think not! I have gone above and beyond what I race can do! I have evolved not my body, but my mind and fighting spirit! Through my countless days spent working my once weak body to the bone, I have gained amazing strength! I-" Kamina continued to ramble on

"Oh sweet Arcues, someone shut him up!" The Shellos begged "this is worse then taking an Ember to the eye!"
Baron was surprised; he had assumed that the priest's death was the work of the Desian. He couldn't think of anyone one else off hand who would kill a priest like that. So when they reached the stairs of the temple and found no one there, Baron was confused. 'This makes no sense! Even if the Desians didn't somehow sneak past the village to get here, which I'm pretty sure they did, there should at least be someone here to great Zoey. Something is very wrong here.' He thought as he climbed the stairs, the eerie silence deeply bothering him. 'Are they planing to ambush us inside the temple so that we can't escape? Is that their plan?' He wondered
In reality, that electric attack had hurt a lot. However, countless times getting nearly beaten to death had given Kamina an ungodly pain tolerance level (you know...for a Magikarp). His first instinct was to reply with a quip something along the line of 'an attack this weak can't hurt me,' but considering that attack came from a teammate, he wasn't sure if that was the right course of action. Instead, he opted for something different "heh...don't worry about me. I'll live." Sliding back onto land, Kamina splashed weakly towards Goom as he fired off some more Ember pellets.
