Okay so I kinda just spent the bulk of the last like 4-5 hours writing this... I think I had a little too much fun uh... exploring the bbcode that this website has. Not to mention I spent more time than I'm willing to admit choosing a color to go with...

I'm thinking of maybe putting a template for this up on the main page for people to use, but I honestly think it might be too much needless information for some people. Idk for me personally I like to have all these tidbits 'cause it just reinforces my character's motives that little bit extra. Like in the context of the roleplay, do I need to include my character's marital status? probably not, we're undead so our past lives don't have much of an influence anymore. But personally for Delwyn I knew that family was going to be a big driving factor for the character so I thought I'd include it.

Also I tried to do the Dark Soul's like item description thing for my spells... I was gonna do it for my arsenal as well but it's like 1am and I've been writing this for god knows how long at this point.

So yeah uh... woops. Maybe I need to learn a little restraint for these things. Must be a sign of how excited I am to be rping again right? :D

In Vinheim his wife Margaret was his voice of confidence who protected him from such people, but in Lordran he finds himself often encountering awkward situations due to his willingness to go along with others without question. This attitude has been growing worse with the more time he spends in Lordran as the curse begins to eat away at his humanity. He becomes more and more scared each day, but he refuses to let the faces of his loved ones slip away. In his Chronicler's Catalyst, he records every thought or detail of each day so that if he ever forgets he will be able to read through his record of events since he left Vinheim. In this same tome, he writes letters home despite not having any way of sending them to his family; to him it is simply a coping method to try and stop the curse from taking the most precious people in his life away from him.Covenant - The Way of White

Chronicler Soul Sorceries


Bellowing Dragon's Tireless Eyesight - Soul Sorcery that enhances the eyesight of the caster. Speeds up how quickly the caster is capable of reading and understanding text, including codes and foreign languages.
"Using the eager Channelers of Seath the Scaleless as an inspiration to one's devotion to research; the Chroniclers of Vinheim read through vast, complex tomes in a matter of hours without missing any of the tiniest of details. A true testament to the innovative scholars of Vinheim."


Chronicler's Insight - Soul Sorcery that grants the caster a magical radar to determine the position of other beings over a distance.
"A fully realised Chronicler of Vinheim is capable of reading multiple texts at once with their all seeing eyes."


Opened Mind - Soul Sorcery that grants the caster the ability to send thoughts to comrades over a great distance. Thoughts and information can only be submitted one way.
"One who opens their mind to a Chronicler of Vinheim, opens their mind to limitless knowledge."


Incomprehensible Knowledge - Soul Sorcery that afflicts the minds of hostile targets around the caster with disorienting images to daze and distract them. Has no effect on Hollows.
"Withstanding the constant flow of information as a Chronicler of Vinheim is no easy task. One would be unwise to underestimate their mental prowess."
Biography - Delwyn was born to a prestigious upper class family of sorcerers belonging to Vinheim's Dragon School. Being revered as powerful sorcerers was enough to make any person influential enough in Vinheim. Delwyn lived a life of blissful ignorance to the suffering of those not as fortunate as he was. Although it was uncommon, due to his mother often keeping him huddled up inside their manor, Delwyn would see children his age playing games in the street. He was forbidden from associating with them, taught that he was better than they were. One day when walking to the markets, Delwyn's mother asked him to wait outside while she gossiped with her friends. A stray, dirty ball came rolling towards the young child. Being as spoilt as he was, Delwyn took the ball and refused to give it back once the children came and asked for it. Mad that Delwyn had stolen their toy, the group of boys advanced onto him. Before they could attack, an older boy: about two years older than Delwyn, told them to settle down before politely asking Delwyn to give them back their ball. The older boy's name was Charlie. While he and Delwyn grew to be the closest of friends, the most interesting encounter Delwyn would have in his life was years later with Charlie's younger sister: Margaret.

Charlie never grew to study at the Vinheim Dragon School, but Margaret did. By this time Delwyn was nearing graduation and well in the running for becoming a new Chronicler for the archives. He and Margaret saw a lot of each other as Delwyn aimed to help her with her studies. Spending time with Margaret really opened up his eyes and Delwyn began to understand those with less privilege than he had. Margaret helped Delwyn grow into a compassionate person. Eventually, feelings blossomed between the two and they wedded. Whilst his family disapproved, Delwyn cared not for their opinion as he was already capable of supporting both his new wife and their upcoming baby. When Isabella was born Delwyn was overjoyed. He thought that he would have a relaxing, happy life with the woman he loved. That is until the Undead Curse began to afflict him. Not wanting to risk spreading the curse to his family, Delwyn left in the middle of the night to pursue the ancient prophecy that he had once come across whilst skimming the vast source of knowledge in Vinheim's Emporium of the Ages. All he wants is for the curse to be lifted from him so he can return back to his family and live out the rest of his days peacefully.

Clothing Effects - Soul Woven threads throughout the fabric offer powerful resistance to magic. Very little physical defense.


Weapon of Choice - Simple Dagger

Catalyst - Chronicler's Catalyst
Description - A simple tome with magical runes engraved along the binding and cover. Allows tome to be used as a catalyst for Soul Sorceries.

Although I think we should leave Priscilla alive. I mean it's not like she'd stop you from leaving the Painted World, unless she was really adamant about keeping the Mad yellow garb inside. Otherwise I was hoping people might be interested in taking a little trip to the Painted World later on to meet Priscilla.


But other than that the character is great! Accepted :D

I mean as the chosen undead you could enter and leave the Painted World.

But in the game you had to use Priscilla's Peculiar Doll to get in and Priscilla had to show you the way out. Plus you weren't really a denizen of the world.

Regardless I don't think we should just dismiss the character based on that tidbit. It's an interesting concept, although I would like a bit more detail in the personality. 2-3 words doesn't cut it for me. Maybe in the biography you can explain how he became to be the host and perhaps give your own description of how he escaped the Painted World.

Canonically it might not make sense, but we have the freedom to delve from canon and re-shape the world a little. Especially if it's to accommodate someone's unique idea for a character. Just make some changes based on my suggestion and then I will be happy to accept your character Indian.
