Stepping back from the door to allow Kris to pass, Victor gave a sombre nod of the head and made his way quietly over to Maria's body. He had to make sure that her brain had been penetrated fully and despite the fact that Kris had clearly made efforts to do as much, Victor was not taking any chances. He took his hunting knife and pierced it in and upwards from the base of the skull and made sure that the feeling of the blade was consistent before pulling it back out. Richard glanced around Victor and saw Maria's body, his face wasn't concerned but neither was it laughing like he had imagined it would. Not like it had the day he had left her behind for dead. This time it didn't amuse Richard and that caused him to frown in concern. Victor watched Richard as Kris growled some words at him. He couldn't tell why Richard was frowning though.

Becoming lost in self reflection for only a split second before he heard Kris spitting venom at him as she left the infirmary, Richard rolled his eyes and called out after her, tact be damned. "I'm just fuckin' peachy keen dolly, but don't ya forget that I'm not the one tha' made her go out and kiss a fuckin' corpse!" He called out after her as she stormed out of the building, Richard watched her depart and he groaned to himself. Stupid little bitch, she was fucking blaming him for her death? He hadn't even been there! He was laid up in a fucking infirmary gurney from the ass kicking that her and her now dead, fucked up little family had given him earlier today!

"Don't look at me like that Doc. She started that shit. I didn't kill her fuckin' sister." Richard leaned back in his wheelchair and rested his head on the back of it as he stared up at the ceiling. Victor left a dish under the table where Maria's blood was dripping off and wrapped her head until the blood congealed. Save more of a clean up than there already was. Victor wiped his hands on the front of his shirt on the odd area that wasn't already coated in blood and walked over to Richard. He crouched down in front of him and gave Richard a firm pat on his knees with his hands.

"The poor girl just lost the last of 'er family. If 'aving you to blame 'elps 'er get through it, maybe it wouldn't 'urt to let 'er take 'er anger out on you? Well, without us letting 'er get physical on you again that is." Smirking a little, Victor pulled himself upwards by putting his hands on his knees and pushing against himself. He looked down to Richard, who in turn looked over to him with a look of utter exasperation on his face. "Don't see why I gotta be the villian..."

Quirking an eyebrow and laughing aloud, Victor shook his head at Richard. "You already are 'er villian, Richard. No changin' that now." Victor moved away from Richard and took his bloodied shirt off revealing a white vest beneath it. He then grabbed something from his jacket pocket and grabbd a table and chair over to Richard, setting the table down between them both as he sat down. He placed his hand on the table and set something there before withdrawing it. Richard snorted and shook his head as he saw the deck of cards. Victor sat there, awkward looking as ever, and looked at Richard. "Best six out of eleven?"

Before Captain Ash could answer Bryn's question, the red head with the bad haircut decided to have a go at Bryn. Bryn simply stared at the woman with a dead pan expression and slowly blinked as she screamed at her. Girl needed to get laid and fast. The last time Bryn had seen a woman wound so tight that she ended up accepting an invitation to a bukkake party because she was told that it would, and Bryn used to quote this line often, "loosen her up and help her skin from getting wrinkled by all that stress she was under". Safe to say the after effects of this endeavour were clearly not what the woman expected. Bryn opted to ignore this broad that was trying to make Bryn care about a total stranger that was none of her concern. She simply kept her bored expression and stared at her until she moved her attention elsewhere.

Sucking on her teeth, Bryn glared at this Ash fella and then spat on the ground at the side of her bike. She really didn't want to give up her Whacker but with this horde and the fact that this group had shown her this place of possible safety... Bryn began to weigh the pros and cons of giving up all her weapons and submitting to being used as a portable blood bank. She wasn't happy about it but... "Ja ja, fine. I stay with the wagon though as I idle in. Ain't lettin' ma darlin' outta ma sight. Also I'm AB-, rare but not as rare as the precious O-. I'll let ya test t'confirm."

Bryn rubbed off the top of her bat with her jacket sleeve and then gave it a gentle kiss before throwing it into the back of the wagon along with her crossbow, two berettas and her knife. She froze for a second as she thought about her throwing knives that were currently hidden beneath her clothing but she decided that honesty was the best policy here to prevent these fuckers from finding an excuse to string her up for body parts. Lifting her shirt up, Bryn unstrapped her sheet of throwing knives and threw them into the back of the wagon as well. She then set Grace into idle and moved her forward with the rest of the wagon and the others as they all made to enter into this new hole in the apocalypse. At least the people seemed more decent than others she had happened upon in her time alone.
@Nallore Nal! Here's an idea, post a short dream sequence for Sophia? Like, what she'd be dreaming about in her feverish, pain filled state of mind right now? Just to give you something to post for her. :)

Cass grinned as she sang, dancing circles around Murphy as the cheesy pop song classic rang out from the speakers, her voice carrying the tune well and true. She smirked when she saw Murphy's grin and she tried not to laugh at Claire as she did her usual encouraging calls from her seat in their booth. This was old hat for the girls, one of their favourite past times honestly especially when they were out bar and club hopping. As Claire made her way to the stage, Cass stood to the side and did the good groupie thing of yelling, cat calling and whistling for her bestie.

The sound was what Cass had come to expect from Claire but it never failed to take her breath away when Cass listened to her perform. Then Cass felt her heart drop into her stomach as she saw Murphy starting to walk forward to sing the male coutner. This couldn't end well... Well that was definitely not what Cass had been expecting. She knew how good Claire was as they'd done karaoke and sang together before. Cass knew how talented and amazing that Claire was but she had never imagined, particularly after the Banshee spectacle from moments before, that Murphy had such a gorgeous voice. Her panties would have hit the floor if she had been wearing any.

Standing in awe, she watched the two perform and play the entire audience watching them with gaping mouths and gawking eyes. Every look from Murphy rose goosebumps on her skin and Cass felt herself tingling all over. She usually got this from Claire but it was odd to get it from someone else too. Good odd, but still odd. Then he made his way over to her, his brow pressed against hers and she felt the warmth of his skin and his breath as he sang to her, his eyes never leaving hers.

She felt his hand slipping around her waist and she couldn't help but press a palm to his chest as he pulled himself closer to her and she wrinkled her nose a little as his brushed hers. The tickling sensation causing her to giggle as she listened to him continuing to sing with his sister. Cass hadn't taken her eyes off of Murphy until he moved away and when she looked back over to see what Claire was up to she saw her walking away from Alcander and Desh she chuckled, wondering what Claire had done to the two poor men. Well Cass wasn't about to let them both upstage her without a fight, no sir. That mic drop would be rescinded. She'd use the energy from their performance and make one of her own with a more recent song choice.

Dancing up to the stage she crinkled her nose and stuck out her tongue at them both, scooping up the mic from the stage floor and ushering them away. "Git you two, my turn t'perform now. Shift yer wee arses." She grinned at Claire and gave her backside a quick smack as she chased her away. She went to the karaoke machine and found the song she wanted to perform. Smiling to herself she walked up onto the raised platform and let the song begin. It was upbeat and had a good tempo, definitely a song that Claire would call "A total Cass".

"Lying eyes and flashy lights, I think I've been here before. And you caught me by surprise! I said I'm taking you home." Her left arm rose up as she pointed to Claire and Murphy together as she sang the previous line. "Yeah you, yeah I'm impressed, I wanna bet, it's true, that I'm the best you never had..." She shimmied her body, bending her knees as she lowered herself to the floor before springing back up again.

"Have you ever been around another one like me? Gets down like me, sounds like me? Have you ever met a motherfucker fresh like me? Got you on your knees, with your ripped jeans." She jumped from the platform to the main floor, landing on her knees, sliding slightly as she sang the words. Her body swayed from side to side as she came to a halt and she was quickly back on her feet as she continued. She made her way to Alcander and sang to him from across the table. "You! Are you ready for it? Are you ready for it? You! Take a shot, lemon drop, then we rock all night." Her hips rolled as she motioned towards the two siblings that she was now standing in front of. Her body movements were suggestive to the extreme without making her look like a third rate stripper. She definitely knew how to handle her body.

"Now you got your hands on me... I didn't tell you to stop! Somewhere they shouldn't be... I didn't tell you to stop!" She rubbed herself against Murphy before spinning over to Claire, her free hand grabbed Claire's and pressed it against her chest. Cass let go and gave her a wink and a grin as she sang and danced away from them both, shaking her derriere as she bellowed out with all her might to entertain the patrons.

As she sang the chorus again, she danced towards the others within the establishment and did her best to let them have a good time with her. She danced with some, winked to others, one even wanted to high five her as she moseyed on by. She eventually made her way back towards her group and was now beside Desh as she came to the more suggestive section of the song that trailed off from the chorus. "Then we rock aaaall niiiiight..." She hip bumped Desh and made her way to Alcander who's face she stroked and gave him a wink. Claire was next where Cass sat right in her lap and wriggled in it before she found her way to Murphy whom she straddled completely before bouncing away from him as quickly as she had arrived.

The song may have been repetitive but Cass's performance would have made it worth watching and listening to. It may not have been on par with the prior but it definitely brought her back out of her Barbie Girl slump she refused to let herself be left under. It was time to end this one. Her feet carried her to the platform stage again and the final version of the chorus began as she spun around to face everyone. "Have you ever been around another one like me? Gets down like me, sounds like me? Have you ever met a motherfucker fresh like me? Got you on your knees, with your ripped jeans. You!" Cass pointed to Desh. "Are you ready for it? Are you ready for it? You!" Her finger waggled towards Alcander, as if beckoning him towards her. "Take a shot, lemon drop." Cass winked to Claire again. "Then we rock all night." She thrust her hips towards Murphy.

The song ended and Cass bowed to the applause of the audience. Sure it may not have been quite as large as the McManus Con men had gotten but at least she'd managed to make herself feel better after having been tricked by Claire and her hottie of a brother. She made her way back to the table and made a dumb face at Claire before grabbing her drink and downing it in one. She was way too thirsty after that.
I am going to get a post out tomorrow for this to get the Gate group moving into the walls to not hold things up while I'm at work this week. I'll then get another post out at my usual rate. :)

Valona β€œNorsa” Norsys

Location: Outside the burning storehouse - Gorlf Northern Territory
Interacting With: Everyone around but mostly herself.

Valona came back to herself and grunted as she rolled amongst the mud. Her hands shot up to feel how much of her hair she had lost this time and she was thankful that it would only require a short trim to mend the damage this time. Grunting, muttering and punching the mud; Valona rolled over until she was flat on her stomach and grumbled to herself as the mud began to envelop her face. She cursed Norsa for casting such damaging magic in such a close proximity to herself. Valona was half convinced that Norsa did it just to hurt Valona as well once she came back into control.

As she lay there, people began to form in her peripheral vision. She hadn't expected people to be around nevermind this amount of people and her first instinct was to just play dead until she got a feel for the numbers of those around her. She'd been in this predicament once before when she'd been surrounded by gnomes that had found her in the middle of a field one day. That had been an interesting turn of events and, in fact, had resulted in one of her worst wild surges before today. This one just took the cake however as it had not only caused her physical harm, it had missed its intended recipient because he was a slimy, stupid, smelly little sneak thief that could dodge things at point blank range like some kind of supernatural being apparently.

The voices spoke to her and around her and Valona could feel her eyes tightening shut as she then began to hear Norsa and Ha'des talking in her head.

"Come the fuck on Valona, these people are going to kill you for burning the damn fucking storehouse down! Best to get them bastards before they get you!"

"Them peoples are gon' touch ya! Ya wanna lets thems touch ya?! I wouldn't lets thems touch ya!"

"Yeah, listen to the bloody fairy lizard. These fucking people are going to man handle you. They're going to fucking find out about your wild magic. They're going to cart you off to some pissy magical wizard pillock that will use you as an experiment."

"Oooooh yesyesyesYES! Thems peoples likes to experilamentals on peoples of the wilds kind, yesyesyes. Thems gon's cut ya earseses off! Thems gon use ya hair t'make thems some goldses. The goldses like thems there Rumplespumples did in tat ones story!"

"See? Even your damn fucking fairy lizard agrees! Need to run and bloody hide! That's all you're good for Vally. Unless you want to let me out..? I can take good fucking care of you, Vally. C'mon Val, be a pal."

Valona carefully shifted her hand that was beneath her body to grab a pinch of powdered charcoal that was sitting in a pouch on her belt. She had to do something to stop Norsa from coming out again. She didn't care if they saw her wriggling a little, they'd know by now if she was dead or not just by her breathing so she wasn't playing dead anymore but she definitely wasn't waiting around to have these people cut her open and drain her innards for samples of wild magic! It wasn't her fault that she was infected! She wasn't born this way! Life was unfair... She was better off alone really but she was never alone and she hated being alone... It was the only option. The best option otherwise things like the smouldering storehouse to her back was bound to happen time and time again.

With the powdered charcoal in hand Valona jumped up onto her feet, knocking poor Satilla, Kyra and Calanon back and threw it towards their faces with the utterance of a single word; "Es-cap-e!" (Think Dory in Finding Nemo). As the powder flew at them they would see a mud drenched, slightly singed and demented looking little creature that had risen from what appeared to be the depths of a forest lagoon with wide and amber glowing eyes. Wait, had her eyes always been completely amber? Only Kyra would notice the change but it was most definitely not a common sight to be seen regardless.

As the powder glowed along with her eyes, everything became dark around the small group of people in a fifteen feet radius. It would not be fun trying to find their way through this continual darkness that seemed to cut off all senses when it initally dropped. Nothing could pierce this save for a continual light spell. Valona could see through it with complete ease and used this as a means to flee. The darkness allowed Valona to dart off into the growth of the forest where she scampered up a tree and curled up in the hollow of a tree trunk that she found along the way. Her amber eyes glowed out of the shadowed trunk and watched the group below, keeping herself to herself for the time being.

The urge to throw things at them was insane but she had to resist for now until she saw their reactions to her handiwork. She was not going to become one of those countless rabbits that she had had to cut and gut in order to survive. No sir. That was not her fate. If she was destined to die it would be at the hands of magic, not steel and she intended to keep it that way for as long as possible.
Cass not complaining about Murphy touching her up.

Alcander probably uncertain how to react to Claire.

Desh popping a boner under the table.

One big happy family.
I'll post tonight once I'm home. I promise. :)
@Nallore Lorna spoke to Riley and was over by the EMT. You've completely missed that out in your post. :/

The feel of Marc's fingers through her hair and the gentle pressure and warmth of his lips on her skin made Ash melt for a minute and forget why she was upset even if it was only for half a second. As soon as he left the office though, her composure crumpled and she curled up into a ball on the couch and buried her face in her knees. She didn't know what to do, what to think, what to say... everything was an emotional blur and she wasn't sure what to do about it. She was usually so held together, so confident this was... this was not familiar. When the door opened it felt like seconds to Ash but it was more likely minutes when Marc reappeared.

She reached out and took her purse and phone from him and smiled gingerly as she unlocked her screen and looked to see that she had ten missed calls, a voicemail and three messages. She swallowed the lump in her throat and rested herself into the crook of Marc's arm again as she looked through the notifications on her cell. The same name crept up - Johnson Teller - and a single mention of - Alexander β™‘ - who had left the voicemail. If Marc looked over he'd see what she was doing on her phone. Ash opened up the call list to clear the notifications and heard Marc's words. She turned her head to look at him, her head still resting on his shoulder as she watched his face. He was serious.

A small frown formed between her eyes and she chewed on her lower lip as she considered his words. It made sense, she knew that but she wondered what Al would say to her staying with Marc. If he knew it was for her safety he'd understand but they hadn't left things on the best of terms when they last spoke. Maybe she should try and call him again and explain why she had snapped earlier. Lacing her fingers together, Ash shifted her head down into Marc's lap so that she was laying on the sofa and her face was looking up to his face. "Okay, you're right. I'll stay with you. I don't think I can handle being alone honestly, y'know? Thanks Marc. You're amazing."

Sitting up, she pressed her lips to Marc's cheek and laid back down. She smiled slightly as she saw the lipstick mark she had left and she licked her thumb before rubbing her lip print from his cheek. "Sorry about that." She stroked the skin of his face and then jumped as her phone began to vibrate on her stomach. She looked at the screen and saw - Alexander β™‘ - on it and a picture of him. "I should probably get this..."

Ash swung her legs off of the sofa and tapped the phone before raising it to her ear. "Hello?"

She was quiet, listening and nodding as she listened to Al. Her back was to Marc so he wouldn't be able to read her face but from her stance he would clearly know she was uncomfortable and uncertain. Over what though? He'd have to deduce that himself.

"I was away from my cell, talking with Ada. Things have been... hectic." More silence followed as she listened some more, nodding and humming at the odd place. "Look, Al, I'm fine okay? You don't have to come out here for me. I'll keep you updated. Yes I won't be alone. No I won't be stupid. Yes I know. You too. Bye." Her tone wasn't overly happy but it wasn't sad or upset either. She was rather generic sounding, almost bored if you could imagine Ash ever being low energy. In fact it was probably the lowest energy that Marc had ever seen Ash be in all their years of knowing each other.

She hung up and locked her phone before sighing and turning to Marc with an apologetic look on her face. "Sorry about that. Apparently my agent has heard through the grapevine that the media are going crazy over the murder in my hometown and trying to get exclusives with me to talk about the victim. I have no idea how they even found out about Jessica yet... oh god..." She raised a hand and covered her eyes. "They're going to find out about Val... and Atlas. Oh god, Atlas... If they find out I used to date him in high school...? Marc, what am I going to do?"

Shocked by the sounds the erupted from Murphy's vocal chords, Cass stared in shock and amazement as she listened to the only sound on earth that was worse than nails on chalkboard. "Holy fuckin' shit. HOW THE FUCK DO YE EVEN MAKE THOSE KIND OF NOISES?!" She rose her hands up and covered her ears while she fell to her knees laughing, tears streaming down her face as she got a kick out of the sheer stupidity and horrendousness of the situation. She looked over to Claire who was shaking her head with her hands over her ears and then saw more of the patrons of the hotel were doing the same. Cringing, Cass began to formulate a plan. She knew the perfect song to ease this shit down.

Running towards the karaoke machine she pulled the plug and stuck her tongue out at Murphy before looking over to Claire, Desh and Alcander and winking at them. She knew Murphy would be mad but he'd soon cheer up after she'd sorted shit out. Putting plugs back in and changing the song choice, Cass grabbed a mic and ran up onto the raised platform with Murphy and bumped his hip with hers as the song started. "I'm a Barbie girl in a Barbie wooooorld. Life in plastic! It's fantastic! You can brush my hair, undress me everywheeere. Imagination, life is your creatiooon!"

The song kicked off and Cass sang the words perfectly, her voice hit the notes but still kept the iconic high pitched tone that Lene was famous for in this one hit wonder of a song from 1997. As she sang she did the actions, emoted the vapid nature of Barbie and had the patrons of the hotel chuckling and smiling for multiple reasons. Cass was a true performer and clearly lit up the stage. Her legs bent, twisted, spun and bobbed as she danced around with the music. She just hoped Murphy wouldn't kill her for her song choice.
