Current Passive aggressive? Who, me? No one messaged me, I just thought that might be a worthwhile message.

Public Service Announcement: When you DM someone for an RP, show interest beyond just a hello and an offer. Offer what interested you, and perhaps something to work with beyond just stating interest.

I should use the Elite: Dangerous autopilot to do more reading.

Bio

I'm a generally chill gomboblin that can be kinda particular. I grew up with plenty of electronics and video games, mostly with games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. Lots of Nintendo. Dark Cloud is pretty sick. That's a lot of variety, and I do like to play a lot of different games. I like to blend magic and technology in my writing, bringing fantasy into space and sci-fi.

Magic in space is something that I find isn't done very much. Airships and spaceships could make for some cool centerpieces. Skies of Arcadia did a fantastic job of this. Perhaps that's not in space, exactly, but it's pretty close. Some of those ships may as well be space ships.

"Whoa..." Trinity awed at Ariel and her tale. It was hard to swallow, if you weren't aware of the shenanigans already underfoot. She dove into Karn's body to join their souls for a short time. Quite an amazing story, maybe even fit for lyric. However, before she could even think to ask more questions, Ariel was cheering Karn on, and she was glad to see him in a frilly pink dress again. She knew what it meant. They said the other Karn was female, but it seemed like they were swapped. But, that was hardly her place to say.

Ariel was really excited to see Karn back, and immediately took to cheering him. Her promise? Trinity took after Ariel's cheering, conjuring two trumpets to blare pleasantly in his name. Overhead, and pointed up. No need to sound in someone's ear. "And a victory, too!" But, jeez. Trinity gave a chuckle as Karn latched on to Penny's leg. What a kid. She was about to get really deep-thinking amid the arena atmosphere, but a tumbling Ariel interrupted her thoughts. With a simple utterance, standing for threatened aggression, the minstrel gave pause when she came to a... rather curious girl. She had a not-quite-wild magic about her. She should be a little careful.

Ariel, and Fleo spoke first. Speaking of guild, however, she couldn't see a mark. "Show me your guild mark, girl." She spoke softly, turning and kneeling in her seat to face the girl. She folds and leans against the back of her seat, trying to seem non-threatening. From here, she could see the ice on the underside of the girl's seat. Ice magic?
"Ooh, he's comin' for me." Starla saw the fighter taking a wide swing, to come around on her for an angle.

Originally, the Exeralune had been planned for two gunners. Two main turrets and some smaller batteries for point defense and attacker harassment. Without a second gunner, Starla could only manage the batteries and one turret at a time.

Now, each turret needed a hole to shoot through the shielding. They were coming at turret one, which she was set to take advantage of. With the lack of a second gunner, leaving the second turret unused, she could hotswap to mix throw them off. She'd rather have a second gunner, but this was the next best. With the first turret becoming unused, its shields could be raised again.

So she hopped seats, setting the first weapons interface to a timer before jumping out of her seat and to the other side of the weapon room. You could go and manually fire the turrets, but that would mean you were at the turret. A dangerous place to be in a firefight. Granted, the manual controls were way more satisfying and she always felt like she could aim better there (and if anything went wrong with her weapon, she could try and fix it immediately), but it was dangerous.

She'd hop into the new seat and the other turret would power down as she began firing from the other. It was the same guy that dodged her shot, before. She shouldn't take a chance, her clearest shot was for his weapons. And so, bright laser-fire lanced out from the second turret, toward the passing fighter's weapons.

Had she caught Fleo on a strange morning? Or had the minstrel's own pace been throwing the other woman off? Hmm. As though to return the favor, Fleo outpaced her to catch up with Ariel, though she didn't actually think Fleo would be so... spiteful.

But, here was Ariel. She didn't quite like that Ariel wasn't sure what had caused her magic to 'die out', but at least it came back? But, this mysterious promise to Karn had her interested. Something must have happened recently, then, but there were so many questions. She had some saved up, but she could get to those later. She should begin with the relevant before taking a tangent. "You used your spirit magic to talk to Karn? So they are both in there."

"And you... took some of his guilt? And gave him hope?" Somehow, she felt like she'd failed. "I'm glad someone could help that stubborn guy, but there's still the other matter to sort out. Hmm..." There were two souls in the same body, and one was more powerful than the other, threatening to consume it. Perhaps Karn could gain power enough to overcome the threat of consumption, with his new hope, but that still left two souls in one body, two souls that wanted to exist in different places. One was from Edolas, the other, Earthland. "Ariel, how did you manage to talk to Karn? You said you used your Spirit magic, but... could you be just a little more detailed? And you're sure you're feelin' alright?"

Hmmm. I think my writing gets overbearing rather easily. Am I correct?

"Ooh, you're quick, aren't you." That enemy fighter had predicted her shot. Starla frowned as the first fighter ducked out of her shot, but she was at least able to swing her beam across the other two targets. It only phased their shields, causing them to react and glow briefly. Laser blasts fill the space around them, turrets aiming for clear targets, to minimize the chance of cross fire. The shields of the boarding pod were tough, but she wasn't aiming for it anyway. As the fighters closed in range, Starla began to struggle with the effect the Plasma Beam had on the turret's turn rate, finding herself unable to track the fighters well enough. She switched her weapon system to an Elzion chain blaster, the turret on the exterior switching circuits to power the separate weapon.

She would be best served to make their ace pilot flee, instead of trying to shoot him down. Two wingmen would probably be enough kills to make the remaining fighters feel the pressure. She focused on the fighter she actually hit with the plasma beam, aiming for his engines to try and disable its capabilities. She keeps half an eye on her radar readout, watching for allied Bokites that might need a hand.
