Bio

Well hello, what are you doing here, my friend?

Well, if you're still here and you wish to know more about me, then:

I'm a 22 fella who's currently in college and is trying to RP while attending college at the same time. I've been into roleplaying since about the mid 2013's, though I was really bad at it during the first year or so. I "migrated" to RPGuild around 4 years ago since the previous site had banned roleplaying due to a large influx of newbie roleplayers polluting the site with shitty RP's. Either way, since then I've been on this site quite regularly, except during a few occasions when real life took precedence and I had to vanish for a month or two.

As for writing capabilities, I'd like to think myself right now that I'm somewhere in-between casual and advanced levels of writing, though if I'm really into an RP, I'll tend to force myself to write something advanced. As for writing in general, you don't have to worry about that, I really love writing and I do it all the time even when I'm not roleplaying, though there are "dry" periods when my creativity seems to vanish for no discernible reason. General interests include most types of fantasy writing as long as it's properly written, though it has happened in the past for me to be interested in something when I thought I would like it, so if you have an idea and you want to roleplay, then pitch it to me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. As for smut, well, I'm not actively looking for one, but if you think you have an interesting idea, then feel free to pitch it to me.

Well, that's about it, if you want to know more personal stuff about me, or simply wish to have someone to talk to about any topic you so desire, then feel free to PM me.

Internal strife covers your kingdom as House Shanyu and House Dayuan have started to hate eachother. For whatever reason, both houses claim that one of the houses insulted to other. Arguing came to insult, insult came to blows and now both houses have prepared their soldiers in order to attack one another and solve this situation once and for all by arms. To make it worse, there are rumors that House Avat, the leading house of Mtol Darask is preparing an army to come and crush this insurection, citing the reason that they want to build good relationships with house Torikani.

Your advisors plead to you that you solve this situation quickly before the Daraski armies come and invade their kingdom for this. Most, however, simply plead to pick a side and destroy the opposing side, while only a few voices in your court advise you to deal with this diplomatically.

@Lauder

Your kingdom has been for decades known as a reclusive kingdom, choosing isolation over diplomacy. This has made your people very patriotic, ready to fight to the death for their country. However, the minor nobles and advisors at your court tell you that you should expand your horizons, open your borders... wage war.

Your people seem to support this movement as well. However, a few voices have a different opinion, yes, the borders must open, however, we must pick diplomacy over warfare. What will you pick, will you open your borders and wage war, or will you simply pick diplomacy?

@Error

Even before the Celestial Empire collapsed, Wolastra was known as the richest region in the empire. And now that independence is at hand, your kingdom could have potential to restore the Celestial Empire, or start a new and better empire, one that will stand the test of time, unlike the previous Empire.

However, the king of Gnyr Shalorn, claiming to be the emperor wants to restore the Celestial Empire. He has already formed alliances with Sylvanyr and Noatun, so they are well on their path of building such an empire, having just recently declared war to the reclusive kingdom of Nastrond.

However, they may think it's not enough, as Shalorni ships have entered your seas and killed any pirates. While their intentions are good, this means that they do not recognize the borders of Wolastra and such, do not think it a independent kingdom, This has caused an uproar in court. Some nobles demand war, some demand reparations(though for what?), and some say that diplomacy is all we have to do. What will you do?

@RisenDead

Your kingdom is currently by far the most stable kingdom following the fall of the Celestial Empire. Rich in minerals and food, your kingdom is a trading hub, resulting in many riches, happy people and a strong army. However, worrying news have arrived. An alliance has been made by the kings of Sylvanyr and Noatun with Gnyr Shalorn.

While nothing is wrong with that, the thing that is even more worrying is that Gnyr Shalorn and it's allies have declared war to Nastrond. And while you are not allies, your family and your other noble lords have always maintained good relationship with the autocratic kings of Nastrond, even having trading relations with them.

And today two diplomats have come to your court in Utgaard, a Nastrondi diplomat and a Shalorni diplomat. The Shalorni diplomat asks of you that you allow their troops to pass through your territories into Nastrond to defeat the "savages" living inside the territory. The Nastrondi diplomat asks of you that you join them in their war against the aggresors, if not possible however, he asks of you to at least keep your borders with Sylvanyr shut so that they can deal with the Shalorni army on their own.

Your nobles lean on favoring the Nastrondi, not by war, but by keeping your borders with Sylvanyr shut if not to join the war.

Iosef raises an eyebrow, and kneels in front of her.

"If Fate says so. What would your goddess recommend me do?"

"I said that I can see chunks of the future, not the entire actual future. Just do what comes natural to you." She said. "We should go, but are you sure you don't need a better armor?"
<Snipped quote by Claw2k11>

So are you okaying me to join based on my app or jacking my idea and forcing me to come up with something else?

You're accepted! However, you'll be able to control the members of house Utgaard since they're the ruling family...

@Claw2k11 when we start

Iosef nods.

"Hit the nail right on the head. I do want Earthrent, and badly. So why would you want to help a hob get his hands on one of the most powerful weapons in the world?"

"Well, I can see the chunks of the future and let's say that with Earthrent in your hands, the world will be a more peaceful place." The young girl answered.

Colmaz was taken aback by the woman's blue hair especially. He'd heard of people with odd hair colors, but this was his first time seeing something other than generic brown or black, maybe some blonde. It was distracting, to say the least.
"Yes, of course," he said, tearing his eyes away from the woman's odd hair. The gnoll seemed especially capable, as well. They'd do just fine indeed.
"Do I owe you any compensation? Surely one healing potion can't cover all of the kindness you've shown me, my friend."

"I am not doing this for the health potion, you saved my life, had you chosen not to give it to me and leave there on the road, I would've died for sure." Morias says. "Do you have any questions about your two new companions?"

It suddenly occurred to Damoni that this must be quite a lot of money in these parts. Back in his homeland, 20 platinum was about a month's worth of wages, but it appeared to be quite a bit more here.

"Yes. I'm traveling with 50 men to the Death Marches, and I want the finest steeds I can get. I have the money." He poured his money onto the table, keeping a wary eye out for thieves.

"Ah..." The man said. "I'll get them ready as soon as possible, sir!" He says taking 5 of the coins from the table. "Just give me a few minutes

Iosef nods.

"I do, but before we talk about that...this place is Meriath, right?"

He looked up and down the girl the second time. Well, she did belong to the goddess of time. Time may not be a factor for her body...

"Well, Meriath isn't a place, it's rather... hmm how do I put it, I can't explain, but when one says Meriath, anyone in this city has the duty to bring him to this temple!" She says proudly. "It had something to do when the city was occupied by another force a long time ago."

"Since you have that sword, I assume it was the orcish smith who gave you that, right?" She asks. "Anyway, let's talk serious now!"

<Snipped quote by Claw2k11>

Colmaz scrabbled out of the bath when he heard the servant's voice, snatching up his clothing and bag. Thankfully, she didn't come inside.
He tried to make himself presentable for the noble and his two new companions. First impressions were important. He sheathed his dagger and hid his crossbow as well as he could manage. Then, Colmaz exited the bath and went off to find his new friend Morias.

And he was lead to a living room, it had a fireplace, fine paintings and beautifully decorated seats. In front of the fireplace sat Morias whilst on the seats were two people.

On one was a gnoll warrior, wearing from head to toe plate armor, the other was a young woman with azure blue hair and light blue eyes, she wore a blue robe the color of the sea, she was a priestess of Arago, the God of the Sea.

"Ah, take a seat my friend!" Morias said. "We have much to discuss!"

Iosef tilted his head her way, a little confused.

"...you...the head? Are you the high priest here?"

And he felt another slight drain in his vitality as he inspected her. Not bad, for an adolescent, but...by the gods, he was letting his Allure loose far too often! Not her, too!

The girl pouted and asked:

"What's that supposed to mean?!" She said a bit annoyed. "I'm old enough to get married in this town!" She said trying to look angry, but instead started to burst into laughter. "Sorry for that, I assume you want to get to Earthrent, right?"
My dear detractors, I think I have in fact nailed the spirit of this game on the head with how I have chosen to Role-play Valgaard, and I shall explain why if you will but give me the time and the space to type it;

<Snipped quote by Claw2k11>

I think this point alone can help shed some light on his I have set up Valgaard. This opening post stats "Fractured into smaller Kingdoms", of which Valgaard is one correct? Who but the people of that region decides, ultimately, what title they would bestow upon that "King". If they call him a "High King", it is no different, for he is High King of Valgaard, a land which was created in the spirit of this very opening statement in the RP's descriptor.

<Snipped quote by Claw2k11>

Here again we see the blunt statement that more than one King, Valgaard can easily have its own King and fit nicely into how you saw this world working out, very much like Feudal Ireland, famous for its many Kings and at one time it even had over 600 Kings! Occasionally they were united by a single man calling himself "High King".

If you're still not convinced than allow me to explain a little more in detail how Valgaard operates and why it is listed as having other major houses, which I think is the only thing you read before laughing and self importantly going "This guy has no idea." I assure you, I am well aware of how Feudal Kingdoms worked and that Valgaard is perfect for your RP.

Valgaard is an independent Kingdom, formerly ruled by the Celestial Empire as I think we can all agree. Following the collapse of the Celestial Empire, Valgaard simply returned to its traditional ways, its people bound together by cultural ties, language and regional economics. No different than say, Ireland, when it broke away from the United Kingdom. Valgaard, as I shall RP it, has always been an army with a nation and when it was included into the Celestial Empire it was only thanks to negotiation rather than force of arms. Now that the Celestial Empire has collapsed, the Valgaard nobles feel no ties to the Throne but still maintain their allegiance to the ancestral heritage of their homeland, the figurehead of whom is known as the High King.

This means the three main houses, with their smaller sworn houses, all agreeing on a High King, who at this moment happens to be Utgaardson. As the noble families of these houses are well known to inter-marry, it is possible he carries the blood of all three houses which is why he was seen as a logical choice for High King. His people need a uniting factor in the unstable and terrifying times after all.

Yes, I am aware that smaller houses might rebel if they think they can do a better job. That very reason is why Ireland or the Danes never conquered the world, they were to busy fighting amongst themselves.

Additionally, the idea of smaller Lords trying to unseat a more powerful King is an idea far older than "Feudal" times, I would submit the Danish invasion of England in the 800's. The Islamic Invasion of Spain in the 700's. Both are times when an organized enemy took advantage of disorganized and fractured people to conquer a vast swath of territory, and in the case of islamic Spain, build an empire that took Christian Spain 800 years to reconquer.

So, I submit to you once again the same nation sheet based on the reasons above since I think it fits perfectly into a "Feudal Kingdom" idea and the promise that intend to provide excellent RP and storyline to your role-play idea.

Your reasoning, my friend is absolutely perfect! I will accept your house, however, since you would be too OP if you controlled the noble houses of Valgaard, I'll have to take control of them if you don't mind.
