Apologies on delay, I've been busy. I'll post as soon as I wake up tomorrow.
Speaking of which, we haven't seen our GM for a while.
Sorry, been busy. Will post as soon as I can.
Sorry, I missed that post. And Isis is not going to react well.
Still around... Waiting for responses.
“Yep. That definitely rings a lot of bells.”

Only a few months back, she had been asked by the head of the family to evaluate the security of his office building and his personal office. The commission for successful completion was a hefty sum, but she failed to even get into anyplace secure. That was a job she did not put on her resume. It did not make her happy, but she had to give them brownie points for their extremely stringent security.

“The only job I failed was with their family,” commented Isis. “Impressive electronic security system. Encrypted NFC pass cards, stringent security protocols, and armed guards in their office building. They know their stuff.”

Isis flicked past another file as Anna voiced her thoughts.

“Not necessarily. As you all successfully argued, the police likely have no clue. If they can pull off something like this, they’ve probably planned for it. On the flip side, they could be in the same situation as us, right now, in a different place.”
Iphigenia went to town on the computers. Within the space of a few minutes, she had commandeered the receptionist’s desk as her own space, plopping down her laptop and bag on the table. She first went for the receptionist’s computer, concluding that that would likely have the most useful information. Instead of booting up by itself, she opened the case and pulled out its hard drive. There was no knowing the condition of the computer or if it was tampered, and she was not going to risk the information on the hard drive. Working smoothly, she pulled out a USB bridge for the drive’s SATA connector, and plugged it into her laptop.

Her face frowned as she continued delve into the contents of the drive, finally leaning back on her seat with a sigh. The only useful data on the drive, a student database, was encrypted with an RSA-200 key. It would take some time to decrypt it. It would be either a few hours to half a day. Leaving that running, Isis stood up to see how Jinx was doing.
“So they do keep hard copies,” said Iphigenia, briefly leaning over Jinx’s shoulder. “It might be a faster idea to scan them and make copies if any of the copy machines in here still work. I don’t think we want these to get stolen, by Monokuma or another student.”

She picked up a few files that Jinx wasn’t looking through, and rifled through the profiles. Most of them she didn’t recognize, but she stopped on the file of a certain girl named Chihiro. Iphie definitely knew this person. She was a very well-known programmer, best known for her work in AI. While she didn’t know her personally, they worked in the same circles and she had a chance to speak with her, once. She continued to look through the file with interest.

“These aren’t nobodies,” concluded Isis. “Chihiro Fujisaki is a very reputable programmer in the IT community. There's also a member of the Togami family, and this is a well known baseball player... Something tells me this isn’t the first time this game has happened.”
Acting captain Noelle Poole sighed. She knew that it was about time for others to start noticing their appearance over the class M planet, or at the very least the rescue operation or burst of communications between the two ships.

“Got that loud and clear,” said Noelle, putting her hand to her face as she thought of a proper course of action.

As if on cue, Nephenee spoke up, relaying a new transmission, apparently from the same source that the Aurora had ignored. “The locals seem to be demanding for our rescue operations to cease immediately. They seem to be inclined to jam our transmissions.”

“Well shit.” There was no way she would be stopping the rescue operations now, and she highly doubted the captain of the Aurora, would, either. She would have given the command for red alert… If the ship wasn’t already at red alert.

Giving the lieutenant a wry smile, she touched the combadge over her chest.

“Lee, the local don’t seem particularly friendly. You said forty-five minutes for shields; I need shields and weapons, now, if things come to blows.”

“Captain, I’m sorry, but I’ll need at least five more minutes. EPS conduits don’t fix themselves,” came the reply from the seasoned engineer, followed by a loud clanging noise in the background and a profane comment.

“Weapons are still offline and will likely be for the better half of the hour, but we should be able to manually fire the torpedoes loaded in the torpedo bay,” continued the chief engineer. “We won’t have warp drive for at least a day, but thankfully our impulse drive is still as good as before this whole mess, or we’d be halfway into the Magicienne at this point.”

Well, that was grim news, but still something she could work with. If they could delay for five minutes, they might be able to retreat out of their situation to a more safe location.
“Thank you, Lt. Commander,” replied the acting captain, before turning to the tactical officer. “Ensign Jacobs, see to those torpedoes if you can.”

The officer nodded before moving to the turbolift, and Noelle turned to address Alara.

“Hopefully our phasers and torpedoes aren’t too dissimilar from yours,” she said. “If it’s not too much to ask, you would be a great help on tactical.”

“And Nephenee, see if you can’t maintain communications with the Aurora, discreetly. I don’t care if it’s Morse code or a secure subspace message, as long as it doesn’t compromise us and gets the job done.”
I'm unfamiliar with SW tech. Can they jam or intercept secure subspace messages?
