If we were to use this, I fairly certain most people wouldn't like if their OC just started dying off without knowing that it was all a dream. The original idea behind this was to see how characters would react when put under extreme circumstances that they would otherwise not have to face.

Finished school work and skimming through the OOC, Clock, I'm plenty sure we can make an omake zombie apocalypse in the pad just for the fun of it xD

Unfortunately, that didn't sell all to well when HOTD was coming out. Even though it was on the tail end of the "Ecchi Era", it wasn't until animes like Fate/Stay Night, Steins; Gate, Madoka Magika and Psycho-Pass came out that people started deviating away from ecchis and towards action with deeper meanings.

HOTD has psychological musings and social collapse buried under more fanservice and impossible boob physics than Ron Jeremy's house

the HOTD anime was made when ecchi and "plot" was popular, so they had to put so much fanservice in it so it could stand out amongst the other endless waves of ecchi-harem-romcoms. Unlike more recent times, nobody wanted to see an action anime with physiological musings and social collapse.

@Feisty-Pants HOTD is the pinnacle of "Plot" and "Plot Development".

I will admit, it does have its awesome, non-"plot" parts, like a Nail-Rifle in the first episode and modern lance cavalry on a motorbike

Also, I had an idea for a zombie arc where everyone is in the classroom when Kae drops several flasks and containers. While cleaning up, someone notices a strange, sickly looking man hobble outside the gate. When approached by a guard, the man bits him and a zombie outbreak begins and its realized that the man wasn't the first to be infected with the entire city being overran. Trying to escape the characters have fight esper zombies and AC's security teams who have also been infected in their advanced armor. The arc would end with a desperate last stand of only a few characters (there probally would be a lot of people dying to stupid death/heroic sacrifices) and are about to be overran with no chance of survival.

As the infected finally overtake the remaining students, everyone wakes up, realizing that Kae had accidentally made a hallucination gas in the classroom. As everything starts to go back to normal, a sickly man is walking outside the school's gate
