Sorry for my absence! A Volunteering position suddenly turned into a Volunteer Leadership position I was not expecting at all so things have been hectic.

Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards

<insert question on how would one balance this since he can't imagine the Fire Nation squaring up against the Imperium of Man and that jazz>
@ActRaiserTheReturned

I remember someone else trying this a while ago and I'll be bringing up the same point as I did then: how are you going to balance it?

I can't imagine the Cyrodilic Empire's legions and swords doing too well NCR's power armor and modern weapons.
How are the elves of LOTR supposed to fight off the Eldar from 40k?
What is stopping the fire nation from rolf-stomping over everyone else?
I can't imagine anyone doing too well against the Galactic Empire considering they have near infinate manpower reserves, lasers and the Death Star + Star Destroyers.
And I'll be playing, ideally, a Nation of Nomads, who, ideally, would have their original species, plus some representation of the others, a conglomerate of species, as it were. A focal point for the political dissidents, the restless youth, etc etc

Who would also totally negotiate trade deals, and other dealings...

As an fyi, in what I've seen, nomads in space don't tend to work out too well since welp, its just that much harder to be Atila or Genghis when your enemies have the same tech (if not better since its a stationary civ vs a nomadic civ) and can just ambush you once you jump out of FTL.

Or there's the Migrant Fleet from ME but that isn't too fun either.

At any rate, good luck and have fun, take my words for what you will, I'm not the boss of you.
@Keyguyperson

I refuse too! I am a free and independant black woman (not really) and you can't tell me what to do!

I'm trying so hard not to joke about the atomic bombings right now, I have you know.

My lord! Sum oph the mien r ruunnin frum the battrefud. A Shamefer Dishpray!
@Cale Tucker

Bushido Ryukyu's Code of Honor would see that as both dishonorable and a shamfru dispray
@Cale Tucker

I see it easier and cheaper to create a slug of metal that can be shot out of a rail gun to kill an astroid than it is to make rounds large enough/explody enough/strong enough to kill one. Just my view of it.

Think of it like getting a laptop vs a computer. Yeah the laptop has its benefits but in terms of sheer ability, the computer is just better
@WilsonTurnerI'd honestly just be fine trading for raw resources over military stuff. RIA and RIN have good enough crews and soldiers and are AI assisted but there is totally a lack of secret super soldier stuff which obviously never and cannot exist hush hush. Plus some of the other stuff I'm planing.

If I had to say it, the "victory condition" for Ryukyu isn't as much as conquer and subjugate than it is to basically rule over the entire econamy by out producing everyone else and making JP Morgan and Rockefeller proud.
@WilsonTurner

I like the idea but Ryukyu doesn't actually have all that much need of kinetic weapons. Mostly due to the fact most their gauss weapons were based on astroid guns and still double as them to this day. Hell, they only have one actual military-minded gauss gun and that's on their only real military ship.

To them, selling gauss for kinetic would just mean giving up some form of environmental protection for a form of weaponry they don't really see the need for.
