I've a few questions though, you mention this linking to other RP's in the past, specifically with the races. I myself haven't participated in such RP's so can I create my own race and if so what limits/boundaries are there?

Yeah, you can create your own race and stuff for this if you haven't been on too many other scifi RPs, my only requirements are for them to be logical and balanced and showing signs of maturity.

@RomanAria Yeah saw that when I was re-reading everything. So if that's the limit is there also a limit on the number of named characters that I've simply missed somewhere?

There is no limit on named characters if you mean the people who are really fleshed out, but I'd imagine trying to RP a squad of 5 different characters would be hard enough, much less 20 some

The named character thing is for the people who are important/you don't want me to mess with too much/"main characters", the rest of the grunts can names or designations, but they aren't the stars of your platoon per say.

I am new at online roleplaying and I want to play this. Platoon size is roughly how many men? I could do an Antarctic country that specializes in technology with the downside of being terrible fighters and greedy for raw resources.

Platoons are anywhere between 15-ish to 40-ish irl but I might hard cap it at around 30.
Can I ask what's with the Antarctic nation? This isn't a traditional NRP, its a squad base RP with roots of a NRP. There is not conquest victory and no raw resources to be gained. The only goal is to survive and try to find what the hell is going on at Endymion. This is also space-based not earth-based so unless you want your guys coming from an arctic planet, being an Antarctic nation makes no sense.
As for the insult part, go reread the OP and the rules.

Alright, because I'm an indecisive bastard, I'm redoing the co-GMs:

@WilsonTurner: Still a co-GM (no need to worry mate)
@RomanAria: After talking to her, I've decided to replace her with @LHG100 since he unquestionably has more knowledge of what inspired the RP.

However, I will still be listening Aria as someone with power in the RP since she has the science knowlegde that will have to come into play and I trust her not to be scold me too badly for not knowing that a cold plasma fusion nuclear warp engine time driver can't exist

Hey, can I do slightly geth-y "just-post-singularity' humans who are figuring out the ins and outs of living with, creating, and becoming computerized sentiences?

Edit: Actual balance wise, I'm thinking now I'll have about 7-8~ dudes and they're all really durable, but their offense (while decent) is pretty shit. They'll also have tiny little jetpacks so they can maneuver a bit in zero-G without having to rely on the 'jump from point to point' method too often.

Hmm... I like the concept but the post singularity part is a bit iffy to me. Perhaps something like heavily modified humans to the point they are basically cyborgs/robots, kinda like the Adeptus Mechanicus from 40k?
