I'm curious on the "heightened sixth sense and at times even beyond, showing various psychic powers". To say that its a point of concern would be fair. I don't mind the pseudo-sixth sense but the psychic power is just pushing it over the edge. I wasn't aware that we were allowed that since I thought of that teetering on the more magical side of things.

Like what abilities do they have and how strong are they? How common are they? Why don't other races have any of these "Newtypes"/How did humans just living in space get these traits?

The Materium was ripped open with a great crack as a void shattering rift blew open, sending ships hurling into real space like bullets. They were a pattering of ships that ranged from corvettes to cruisers lead by an elite, intimidating echelon of carriers and battle cruisers with a battleship to be found somewhere in the mix. Many were of clear Imperial origins with their Macro Cannon batteries and faded white battering ramps watched over by aging golden eagles who had saw countless battles and shots. But they had long lost their glorious mantle of elegance and divinity as many sported critical wounds to their hulls, crudely but efficiently patched up or fixed with make shift equipment. Even more add new additions to their superstructures that jutted out at strange angles cannibalized from the husks of other ships, a few even sports bits of meteors in their hulls that had since been mined out and treated as yet another part of the ship.

But all of these, even the mighty battleships, were dwarfed and cowered as the warp rift stretched and groaned as it expanded and a true behemoth thrusted its way into real space, dragged out of the Warp by its massive engine array. With an ominous creaking and groaning of metal and rock, the Ark Imperialis made an entrance which only a spacehulk like it could manage. But a spacehulk it was not as on board where thousands of souls and lives and the word of the Emperor. Not the bastardized cult that people blindly followed as the "will of the Emperor", but the real will of the Emperor, his Imperial Truth.

"We have successfully reentered real space my lord." a officers on the secondary command bridges voxed in to the main bridge, "All ships accounted for, Gellar fields held well so minimal deaths or warp entities. Minimal hull damage due to debris encountered in travel. Successful Warp jump I say sir. Releasing anchored vessels" Anchored vessels reffered to any ship that was perfectly functional barring a warp drive meaning that it had to attached and connect itself to the Ark in order to enter the warp and travel with the rest of the fleet.

"Thank the Emperor." Karthis sighed anbreath of relief as he sank into his plush chair located in the center of the main bridge. It was a strange yet beautiful mix of practical and opulence, perhaps even more well decorated than Karthis's humbly wealthy personal quarters. The fleet was forced to make a random warp jump when scanners displayed a Nurgle-devouted Chaos fleet arriving on the horizon. They managed to make the necessary preparations for a relatively safe jump and lost the diease ridden vessels in the stormy tides of the Immaterium, "Someone, where have we landed exactly?"

"I believe we are in..." cogitators whirred as star charts were reviewed, "I believe this is the Arexia System. and of course its another petty Imperium." The man rolled his eyes in exasperation, "These things are literally everywhere aren't they?"

"What did you expect?" Karthis chortled before his face returned to seriousness, "Send a local call for response, lets see if this "imperium" is any better than the last."

This is Lord Regent Karthis of the Ark Imperialis.
We come in peace but are prepared to war. Me and my fleet have arrived in this system after exiting the cruel waves of the Immaterium. I humbly request access for asylum in this system and trade for supplies. We are able to trade but should the light of the Emperor still shine in your hearts, charity and donations would be very much appreciated.

"No." Karthis brusquely smirked, "Let it be a little surprise in the case they aren't as welcoming as we hope."

@Willy Vereb Does everything have to be exact sciences and follow the exact laws of phsyics as we know them to be fun? Since I doubt people would enjoy having to look through wikipedia pages to learn it or have to spend a good deal of time on their things only to be told "guess what that doesn't work lol, gg try again later".

Besides, with handwavium you can get a lot more cool stuff in. There's a reason why things like Star Wars/Star Trek/40k/Mass Effect are so popular even if they don't listen to Newton.
