Sorry for my absence! A Volunteering position suddenly turned into a Volunteer Leadership position I was not expecting at all so things have been hectic.

Look at you posers, having to bang dragons or sell your soul for magic when you could just play a lute for some. Anyways, here's Wonderwall. - Bards

Hi ya'll hope you're ready for some THICC lore!

HISTORY OF ADANION

THE TWIN FAITH

THE TWILIGHT CHOIR

@TheRedWatcher I'm just going to flat out say it. I have nothing against blind or deaf people or irl sign language, its that for convivence for the RP I prefer characters who are able to communicate verbally without a huge hinderance of some kind. Your character could know some form of more complex sign language, but they have to also be able to hold auditory conversation with others.
@TheRedWatcher That's why I said "assuming total deafness". If they're hard of hearing or deaf in one ear that's fine.

The sign language is fine as well but then you run into the other issue of who else is actually going to know the sign language? By its nature is a rather niche thing with a very specific use. Knowing sign language isn't going to help when most of the people you need to communicate with can only see it as hand gestures.
No worries! It's just there if you need it, like if you want to throw some red herrings around or need a way to explain how they transported the firesand. In any case, just to be clear, do I have the okay to make a musket-armed character?

Speaking of getting more CS-es in, seeing as how I'll be making the map, I'll likely put mine up later down the line; seeing as how we're likely getting more people than before, I don't want to make a blank map that could run out of space. I personally prefer to design big and scale it down as required.

So! My plan is that I'll wait for a handful of CS' to be in. I'll make the map and slap the SK somewhere along the coast. I'll design the map according to the landforms and geographic descriptions in the CS'. That way, folks will have greater freedom in deciding how they want their polities to look.

For the musket, no. At most it would be a non-functional display piece; the notOttomans currently are the only ones in the geopolitical region with easy access to gunpowder and gunpowder weapons. Its their ace in their sleeve so they have an incredibly tight control on it, think ancient China and silk worms.

I might try my hand at making something shitty, at least as a quick fix. Mostly because I do have some ideas on what it looks like and because geography also plays a hand in why none of Adanion's neighbors are invading during all of this.
@DegenerateThree That's actually something I was going to ask around once there were some more sheets in, if someone wanted to have taken part in the conspiracy to kill the King and by accident, the Crown Prince. The King killed a lot of people including nobles so its more than likely at least one house got fed up and wanted vengeance. It would have to be a Great House involved tho so the single clan within SK is not really on the table.
@TheRedWatcher Partially blind like they're missing an eye is fine but it they're almost blind that might be an issue. Along with with deafness (assuming total deafness), its unlikely they would actually be in a position to take place in the RP beyond a diet Tyrion Lannister. There's nothing like sign language so they'd have to just write out everything and glassmaking in use for lens hasn't gone beyond telescopes and navigational equipment.
@DegenerateThree Yes, firesand is gunpowder but its widespread adoption is heavily limited because people don't know how to make it yet since the notOttomans are purposely blocking it. That's also actually one of the clues towards what happened because firesand is hella rare in Adanion meaning only someone with a lot of money and a lot of influence would have been able to acquire it.
@TheRedWatcher Mind if I ask what kind of disability?
Now that I think about it, if I bring over the Sjamyyk-Kuunkoe from the original idea, I might make them neutral at best, since they're the sort to not care too much about who rules, so long as they're left alone. Even if everything goes to shit, they're capable of packing up and returning to the sea. Not easily, but it's an option for them at the very least.

Fair enough, SK is probably the only ones who have the best shot of actually being neutral because they could hypothetically move while everyone else can't. There's a chance they still might end up being forced to take a side, but if they stay neutral I could see them becoming a sort of safe haven for refugees and other nobles who are either fleeing one side, fleeing assassins or fleeing because an army just burned down their castle and they really don't want to have to try and build another one right now. Could be interesting to see the cultural and economic impact.
Welcome aboard @TheRedWatcher! Any insperations?
