Are Medusa's body hairs actually just tiny snakes?

Bio

I'm a sucker for romance, sci fi, fantasy and just about any modern city with a twist like monster hunting or super powers. Been writing for years, I didn't learn how to read till I was 12 so the moment I got the hang of it, I could not stop. Filling journals with stories one after the other, my younger sister eventually got me into role playing and it created a monster. I will play with you all day if you reply, post for post and will give you as much detail as I can.

I was originally gonna put on rapidash, but than I realized that it's not on the catchable list. Always need a fire type and thought fletchling would be a good sub.
But yeah, really happy we didn't clash ether XD
Well if that's the case, than I should get right on to making Reeman's team than. Thank goodness my planned one's arn't taken yet XD

The warm sun settled on his skin like the fluttering of butterfree wings. It was a beautiful day, calm and sareen. With hardly a gust of wind to disturb the fields of grass that painted the paths in green. It truly was like a canvas here, one that he could find in his mother's room, clean, crisp even.
His morning was filled with hugs and messages. Mother having tears in her eyes, a hand running through his hair as she continued to go on and on at how proud she was that he made it this far. How he even got a video call from his brother, Steelix at his back while both were eager to challenge him to a battle when he was ready. But it was his Neighbour's Gardevoir that he really had trouble leaving. The proud yet breaking eyes behind the usually ethereal gaze was enough to shatter a spirit.

He just sat with his friend till he had to leave. Watching her expressions change as he thought of places he could see, people he could meet. Even thinking of having an entire team of psychic types only for the pokemon to shake her head, signing in a rough version of his language. "Think all type" right, he should think of all types. Even if it was only a psychic and maybe some ghost types that hear him, he should open his mind more, see the different pokemon out there and wonder if they would even want to join him on his journey.

And so, a small bag over his shoulder, he begun his first step on his journey. A smile on his face, he began to whistle, one of the very few sounds he could still create. He enjoyed the walk, the sky was so blue, hardly a cloud in the sky till he began making his way to Aquacorde City, it was such a quaint little place, and he honestly thought of it more as a town than a city. A tourist spot due to the simple beauty of trickling music, clean waters and soft voices.
A fletchling flew to it's next, the sound of bird chirping joining in as hunger babes demanding to be fed. The animated voices of a group of friends and their day out caused the place to come more to life with every step he decided to make.

It wasn't too difficult to find the growing group amongst the cafe tables. Bags strewn across their space, he noticed a older woman who could only be the professor, with kind eyes and excitement in her features. A boy and girl around his age, one showing a slight calculated look while the other was texting.
A unknown catching his eye was when he noticed the last figure. Someone a little less animated and looking almost spacey. Still, the sight cause a grin to break over his lips as he began to wave over at the group. This was it, this was his first step to the dream he thought he would have left behind a long time ago.

A spring in his step he bowed his head a little when he approached. So, he wasn't the last one here? Well, least there was that, he was honestly a little worried that he would be the last one, to walk over, all sets of eyes and yet all he could do is be met with silence.
Still, ether way, h could not help but look out at the packages, the pokeballs, inside one of those sphears is a friend that would walk at his side for the rest of their lives, the one that he would share his journey with. The very idea of it made his throat go dry.
Realizing he was already at the table, he began to feel the tips of his ears turn red. Quickly he began to sign, only to realize they probably didn't know sign language, still he tried, what was the worst that could happen with trying..right? "Hi, my name's Reeman."
this is handled really well guys, so I gotta say awesome job! And thank you for accepting my character.
It was cold, the dampened sky causing the air to grow thick, breath escaping a pair of lips in wispy tendrils. A woman standing near with a bag slung over her shoulder, few belonging to her name stood near. A figure of intimidation, disciplined eyes behind a mask, a body of muscle with hair that threatened to drag the ground behind her.
It was all too obvious of what she was. Arms crossed she simply watched those who entered the school. Studying each and every one to see who they were. The friends, the loners, the weak, the strong, the smart, the idiotic. Each and every single one being categorized and filed away for later before she finally began to make her way to the rooms.
A card within her clawed hand opening the room that sent a wave of heat through every fibre of her body, wrapping her in a blanket of warmth that threatened and succeeded to pull her into the welcoming enclosure. It was warm colors, with a roaring fire tamed by it's place. The beds seeming to have hot coals beneath the covers while plush pillows laid about the floor. "Least it's not the bowls of hell or something...."

Taking off her bag she found a note addressed to her. Eyes of curiosity she opened the paper to see neat and rather elegant handwriting that she found herself respecting.
Dear Shira Kai, your family has already addressed the issue of you having little mastery of fire yet have excelled in combat. For this I had instructed that your room is in the flame quarters and that you must meditate for one hour under the embers every single day before your classes.

"Not wasting my time, I like it." She was no stranger to meditation, her father being so attuned to aura caused her to join in from time to time as a child, it was a relaxing moment. One where worries and burdens had abandoned her. Taking her spot she sat cross legged, her tail feathers ruffling a bit before she began to slowly inhale and exhale, a stream of warm breath escaping her that she tried not to think of.
She trained under a blaziken for a time, and whenever he took a deep breath there was a small stream of fire...she had to learn how to do that, to have such control that she would be connected to fire no matter what. That was what she needed, and she was gonna get it right here.
Time passing her by, it was a while before she decided to look outside. Walking around the school grounds she began to notice that there were areas that could sustain every single need any pokemon out there had. She had to admit she was impressed with the place, the training room though, she could live there. "Might as well live here."

Staying under cover she continued to walk around, hands in her pockets, the sounds of rain and the cool patting of her feet becoming defining against the excited whispers around her.
alright! I'll get this started up once I get back home
question, is this limited to just students? Or can you make a student and a teacher? I understand I'm late but I saw this and was interested.
