Bio/Personality:Ray is the oldest of four and the only male child. He is the epitome of the strong silent type. Every year the Arlonan’s have a tournament to judge the mightiest warrior among them, Prince Raymond has won decisively every year since he was seventeen years old despite not being particularly large compared to other Arolnan males. Unlike other kingdom’s nobles he was not taught how to interact with others and so tends to be very quiet. He is a fierce and loyal friend if you can get past his icy exterior.

Agreed but some players like to describe a little more detail what happens, which is fine, but a three paragraph ode to the blood spilled in combat would be disgusting. I'll try and get the more detailed version of this up sometime tonight.

The possible 18 + is dependent on players and is intended for violence purposes so there is also the potential of not 18 + based on the players involved.

@Azereiah As soon as I can get a map up, I will. As for the intended romance, you are not required to pick anyone and I included it because of incidents in previous RPs where a player was okay with being flirty but got really pissed off that the character they were flirting with kissed their character because they didn't want to go that far. It's not required to use but does allow players to state if they're collaborating that part of the RP with another player.

@HushedWhispers I will update the original post when I get home from work but in short, the other heirs to the kingdoms (you do not have to be first in line to the throne but do know your older siblings will either abdicate or come to an untimely end). You can also be a commoner, an assassin, thief or mercenary if you don't want to play as royalty. I am reserving one of the royalty spots for my own DM controlled character but I will likely add another kingdom so as not to limit players current choices.

Intro:

This RP is based loosely off of the game Choices (available in Google Play or the App store if you’re interested in playing). In the Crown & The Flame there are 5 kingdoms that come together to form an alliance but they are betrayed by one of the kingdoms who slaughters all of the other monarchs. The heir of the kingdom who originally sought this alliance goes into hiding along with the others and bides her time to take her kingdom back. She eventually does regain her kingdom and unites the 5 kingdoms in time to defend them from a larger threat (and eventually can marry one of her companions). I tried getting this started as a 1x1 but have had a hard time so far so perhaps it makes for a better group rp.

Players will play as one of the heirs to the kingdoms who are coming together for an alliance. While romance will be involved in the RP there will be plenty of action, hence the 18+ tag. In the character sheet you will notice there is a spot for your intended romantic partner, you don’t need to have that filled out right away and it could change during the course of the RP. For now, sexual orientation is all you will need to put there so players know which characters their character can pursue. I will not assign pairings nor are they required but I do encourage players upon their characters being accepted collabing with other players as far as romance goes if they are interested in one of the other accepted characters.

The Kingdoms:

Khilux Empire

Khilux is mostly desert and so the people are hardy, used to harsh conditions. They are the poorest of the kingdoms but world renown for their warriors. They are a proud people who are easily offended when outsiders call them barbarians for their tribal lifestyle, even though they have large cities like any other Kingdom.

Nelia Kingdom

Nelia is the richest Kingdom but has no military to speak of. They have city guards and such in their cities and a royal guard but their borders are protected by their larger (military wise) neighbor, Dribia. They cover a large geographical portion of the world, housing many mountains that provide them with heaps of gold, silver and other precious gems and ores. The nobility of Nelia spend a great deal of time obsessing over the social season in the country, making sure they are up on the latest fashion trends, no matter how silly.

Vapridora Kingdom

This country is not available to players as this royal family will serve as the villain. They are a tumultuous people as they are constantly at war. They have the strongest military out of all the kingdoms and had a poor reputation among the other kingdoms. Military service is compulsory even when not at war for at least five years. Many stay in the military as it pays the best. The people of Vapridora are heavily taxed to afford the wars the blood thirsty royal family is after.

Dribia Dynasty

The smallest of all the kingdoms Dribia is a nice mix economically and militarily compared to the other kingdoms. They have the largest library in the world and encourage a lot of the sciences and arts.

Arolnan Dynasty

(Reserved for GM character as far as the heir goes for this nation)

Arolanians are a mountainous people and are rumored to have a formidable army but no one knows for sure as there is no known record of their kingdom having ever gone to war. They dwell in the mountains incorporating the mountain peaks of their geography as protection for their cities. They have world renown smith’s, crafting the hardest steel and the most ornate blades.
