On the contrary, I am probably going to post soon. Maybe tomorrow if I need to do anything else today.

Kevin stopped moving. He stopped thinking. He stopped whatever he was doing and stood tall, stock still. He still couldn't remember whatever it was that was in the back of his head, but he pushed it away for now. He'd remember it when the time was right. For now, he needed to focus on one thing, and one thing only. He took a deep breath, using his new, reborn lungs before turning around with a smile. "Oh come on." He walked back to the dark queen and hugged her, a short hug, but an affectionate one. He then backed off, sliding his mask back onto his face, showing only the grin and the scar. "I'm the same as I ever was. I'm here now, and I'll be here for as long as you need me. That's a promise." There was a shifting in his gut, but he minimized his reaction to it, trying to seem like he was completely fine, back to normal, even with his guts being rearranged.

A jolt racing up his spine, Jeremy ground his teeth together imperceptively, staring at the man before him. Dustin was going to make this difficult, and he didn't have anyone to use his power on. The streets around them were deserted, and it didn't look like someone was going to walk by for a while. "Listen man, I don't know what your deal is, but as far as I can tell nobody but us knows about what these things do. Nobody is out to get you, and until we figure out what these shards are I would suggest not frying a potential ally." Even without using his powers, Jeremy was a rather convincing speaker. Especially since as far as he knew, what he was saying was true.

"I can mess with people's minds. Control them, make them see hallucinations, stuff like that, but as far as I can tell I can't do that to you." This was a half truth. While he couldn't control him so easily, Jeremy knew that if he could just make contact, his mind would overpower the barrier that was in his way. He really hoped he wouldn't have to, but he wasn't completely out of options if Dustin refused to back down.

Jeremy was taken aback as Dustin asked his questions, made his demands, and threatened his life. He hadn't expected the person to be so forward, or so violent. He paused, pulling out a pack of cigarettes and lighting one up for effect, and because he needed to think. To prod. Even as he stood before the person, his mind reached out, prodding Dustin's defenses. Sure enough, absorbing whatever he had absorbed had armored his mind. Controlling this person would be quite difficult. He then smirked. While he felt resistances versus mind control, it seemed as if there was no special resistances to hallucinations, but he wouldn't try that.

He didn't feel like getting shocked. "First off, I'm not here to kill you. My name is Jeremy Haynes, former owner of Haynes Inc. I was out for a walk before my head started hurting. It led me to you." He explained this part as best he could, confident, as he wasn't lying and he knew it. He put up his pack and his lighter, turning his attention back to Dustin. "As for my powers..." He stares, still grinning cryptically. "Well, lets just say I'm very persuasive."

Kevin stands, still perplexed by his current situation. Wasn't he just fighting some bloke on a planet made of ice? And now his girlfriend was telling him that his heart is in his stomach. "...Well, that doesn't sound right at all..." He replies, being infected by the spirit of Captain Obvious. He tries to walk away, wanting to further investigate wherever he was, disregarding Minx's comment about his rearranged guts. He was remembering something, but he didn't know what. Something was itching at the back of his mind, clawing, but his mind was muddled. All he could remember was what all had happened before the ice planet, and his death, but something between those points was gnawing at him.

They say that when one dies, their life flashes before their eyes. Their entire existence plays out in their heads, for them to remember, either in regret or contentment. Kevin experienced something completely different. His death scene stretched on into eternity. Standing there, bewitched by his own mind, remembering what could have been as he was dealt a killing blow. His mind stuck on an image of him living a normal, happy life with a normal, happy family. Maybe the Omegan thought it would be peaceful, but to him he was stuck staring at hell. He would have never wanted that. He loved the life he had made for himself, and this perversion, this 'what could have been' just ticked him off, but it really didn't matter now. He had done what he could, and it hadn't been enough, and now he would remain this way, frozen in time...

Until, rather suddenly, he felt life's warm embrace envelope him. He was no longer on a planet of ice, now somewhere new. He surveyed his surroundings, his brain processing the fact that he wasn't dead as a door nail anymore. He looked at his hands, opening and closing them, shifting from one foot to the other. After a time without body or form, this experience was strange and familiar to him at the same time. He reached up and felt his mask. Even that had been returned to him. He pulled it off, revealing his face, the same as it ever was. He felt his cheeks, his chin, his nose, his mouth, everything. "What... How..." The wizard was speechless, feeling as if he'd just been asleep for a very long time. "I'm... not dead?" This question, completely rhetorical, was already confirmed to him. He was indeed alive... somehow. He looked around, before looking at Minx. "Minx? Is that really you? In front of me? Alive?" He really was having a hard time processing the whole 'not dead' thing. Understandable, as this was his first experience with death and revival. Err, at least, of himself.

As Jeremy walked towards the source of his pain, he tried to quell the aching in his head, but it just kept growing. Eventually, he just tried to ignore it. As he passed a light post, he saw someone standing next to it. He waved as he passed. "Bit late to be out for a walk..." He commented, knowing full well that this applied to him too, but too wrapped up in his pain to care. Until suddenly... he wasn't. His headache was gone. He turned, staring at the person he just passed. Whatever was making his head hurt, it appeared this man might be the source... maybe. "Hey, do I know you from somewhere...?" He didn't know the person at all, but he wanted to get a good look at him, see just what it was that was pulling on him.
