Here's the obligatory sword boi with a heavy drawback that is making the mistake of going to college. For clarification, bodysuit is basically RPG light armor in terms of the protection it gives.

Michael

Name: Michael Ongi

Age: 29

Personality: A calm, quiet professional on the surface, Michael's sole motivation is making mad cash. This mentality stems not from greed, but rather a series of poor life choices that resulted in Michael accumulating an insurmountable amount of debt in his life. Despite working as a Diver for years now, Michael still can't shake off the feeling that he's not cut out for the business at all. Despite this, Michael approaches all his jobs with a cool head and an unbeatable poker face, masking his fear and displeasure all in the name of making fat stacks in order to keep his loan sharks at bay. So long as he believes he can one day pay off his financial obligations, Michael's resolve as a Diver will never falter.

Background: Throughout his entire life, Michael was plagued with financial problems. While his family wasn't poor by any means, Michael's upbringing was still within the seedier parts of his home city. This surely didn't stop Michael's father from developing a nasty habit of gambling, one that lead to his early demise. Sadly, even death won't stop the various people that Michael's father owed money to, with such obligations quickly transferring to the son. Unlike his father, Michael believed that he could pay these debts off without turning to a life of crime, and instead focused on his education, believing that he could land a stable job once he has a college degree.

Years of making bad friends and borrowing money from the wrong sorts of people only lead to Michael's debt increasing, and when he finally found himself an adult, it was only then he realized that his degree of choice would not net him any gainful employment. Desperate to find himself some quick cash and with various loan sharks closing in, Michael soon found himself in a strange office, offering him a way out of his financial slump that doesn't involve selling parts of his body...

Nearly a decade later, and Michael was able to make a name for himself as a professional Diver, protected from his pursuers so long as he continues to unearth vast treasures from parts unknown. To his clients and even other Divers, he is a professional blade-for-hire, cleaving through gate after gate armed with only a rudimentary Cross Gear. To his true employers however, Michael is a mere cash cow, bringing them untold amounts of riches in order to pay off his increasingly inflated debts.

Type: Speed AEGIS, enhancing both physical and mental processes. Allows the use of high-speed calculations close to the abilities of a "super-computer", as well as facilitating faster movement and reaction time. Modifications were made with the intention of allowing the Diver's body to "move as fast as one is capable of thought", though such capabilities have not completely evolved yet.

Cross Gear: A highly sharp blade-type Cross Gear that can easily cut through steel and harder metals like mere paper, capable of slicing through Outsiders with ease when empowered. The blade accomplishes this by seamlessly separating objects cut by the blade at a molecular level. Without energy to fuel it, it is still a highly durable sword, and has been chosen for its reliability and totally not because Michael was too poor to afford something flashier like a gun-type Cross Gear at the time. Takes the shape of, get this, a katana.

Equipment:

• Standard-Issue EC-K, taking the shape of a tanto knife.
• Standard-Issue UNIT with the downloaded personality of a stern sword instructor.
• Composite weave full-body suit made with a variety of lightweight durable material. Allows its wearer adequate protection from both the elements and combat without sacrificing mobility. Worn underneath Michael's clothes.
• A specialized device worn on the arm that allows the user to track objects at high speeds, ranging from ballistic projectiles to faster-moving Outsiders. In sync with Michael's arm movements as well as the cutting ability of his Cross gear, the device is also capable of scanning for both accuracy and potential effectiveness of targeting certain points. Essentially "aimbot" for swords.
• Crippling debt.
• A degree that cannot feasibly be used in his current line of work.

Skills: Michael is expertly proficient in bladed weapons, combat training he obtained solely from his experience as a Diver, capable of performing the techniques of a seasoned swordsman through the use of his AEGIS. As another benefit of his experience, Michael is also well-versed in calmly analyzing and avoiding danger, and has used these skills along with his mental and physical enhancements to avoid death on multiple occasions both in and out of the other world. That said, it could be said that Michael's "greatest" skill is accumulating debt.

Other: Despite his enhanced mental prowess, Michael has still yet to figure out that he's essentially being scammed. Recently, Michael has began to consume Japanese media, using it as an outlet for his dangerous lifestyle. How could he die if he has another episode to look forward to, after all?

Potential interest, though I wonder if an AEGIS specializing in enhancing the mind's processing power is in the realm of possibility, and if that would grant any tangible benefit.

The first night of this ritual was truly a tumultuous one. Much of Miyama has been razed as a result of the constant battles within the area. Heroes clashed their blades against each other, finding either victory or certain death with each strike. Darker elements skirted in the shadows, taking advantage of any opportunity granted to them. Gods were brought low from the heavens, crashing down into the surface below. However, perhaps the greatest thing that happened that night was not accomplished by the intervention of the gods, but instead the sheer will of man...

To shatter the barriers of what is possible and defy fate itself was the very nature of heroes, after all.

A roll of sweat drooped down Remus's forehead, his eyes laser-focused on the task at hand. Much of his metallic body was covered in dirt, alluding to the hard work the Emperor has been doing all night. His arms were shaking from the stress of the work he has been doing. Everything had to be perfect, after all... one mess up, and everything that Remus and his Master had accomplished the whole night would end up being for naught. Slowly but surely, Remus's arm descended as the last bean was placed precisely, and...

"... Heh. Hahahaha... Hahahahaha! HAHAHAHAHA! Yes! It's perfect! A beautiful piece of beanaroni art! Something only the Divine would accomplish, after all. Are you watching, Brother? Do you see what I have accomplished with my perfection alone, something you require your pathetic [Imperial Privilege] to perform? Witness me, Brother! Witness the might of Reme!"

Remus cackled, proud of yet another accomplishment performed by himself surpassing his brother. Wiping the swear away from his brow, Remus looked up to the sky, pride washing over him. As he watched the Heavens, Remus began to think of Jack and the trials and tribulations he is facing as well. Remus could not help but feel a sense of accomplishment of all the work both himself and his Master had accomplished over the course of the entire day. For Remus, all that was left was to wait for the coming dawn... but for Jack?

"I see that you are hard at work as well, Master. Hang in there."

As Ron gazed through his own Servant's perceptions, he could not believe his eyes. For a moment, the young man had stood by watching the exchange, speechless. There was no words that could describe the two things that he had learned today, as the two different realizations shook Ron to his core. The first was that Santa was indeed real, and he had survived as well, leaving Ron's present for Maider to pick up for him. As for the second realization, Ron had finally found the one thing that had caused countless conflicts in the world, the entity that broke brotherhoods and razed entire communities.

Ron had began to experience the power of love.

"Another cuter Maider with pink hair??? It's a Christmas miracle! So cute... Bring him to me right now, Maider! I want to uh... discuss the terms of an alliance! Yes, that's totally why I want him in our house. That sole reason, and with no other ulterior motiv-"

Ron's train of thought was immediately interrupted with the shrill cooing of his familiars. It seemed as if something surging with prana began to approach the territory that Ron had dibs on. Surely he would be up there, instead of here at dad's house if Issei would just let him sleep over. That nerd wouldn't even help Ron with his homework! So what if he didn't go to school?

Shifting his focus to his lesser familiars, Ron had observed the presence making their way to the top of the mountain. Another Servant for sure. Utilizing the special eyes granted to him as a Master, he had observed this encroaching Servant's parameters.

"I see... while they both have a similar number of frills, this Servant's panties are striped and made of a much more durable material than Maider's... not that it matters, after all! I summoned the strongest Maider! _{Too bad I didn't summon the cutest, though...} Maider, head to the mountains west of here, and bring that other cute Servant with you! There seems to be yet another Servant attempting to take the temple away from us!"

UNFAIR MONSTERS [Spots Open]

@IceHeart The concept I was looking to do was establish some sort of "galaxy brain" type of character able to make predictions based off of mathematic principles rather than something like divination, but also with levels of more mystical prediction baked in.

The first idea I had was accessing parallel universes through the mind, essentially gathering the experiences from other versions of the character in order to find more hints to a monster's weakness. Other ability ideas I had were things like accessing multiple parallel selves in order to make a hyper-cognitive "think tank", and just classic parallel self spam later down the line. Essentially just a dialed down, intrinsic version of D4C.

If parallel universes are too much of an issue or complication, I'm totally fine with just having another power in mind. The only things I'm super attached to are high-speed calculations and being able to think with the capacity of multiple brains, basically like a mental conference, or one of those five-minute thought montages that take the actual span of a few seconds.
