About Me && My Roleplaying


Hi there, I'm Cynder and it's very nice to meet you! 

I'm an nineteen year old gal from Massachusetts in the United States of America (which would make my timezone EST). I've been an off and on member of the Guild since I was about fourteen and I've been Roleplaying since I was about twelve. And seeing as you have clicked on my interest check, it may be possible that you are interested on going on an adventure with me!

Before we dig deeper into this, though, I would like to offer some information about myself:

I am currently looking for Chat Roleplays or Roleplays that I can easily hash out responses for. This means that while I typically write in the field of Casual, I would be fine with (and would actually prefer) one-liners and short paragraph based Roleplays. This doesn't mean that I'm unwilling to write Advanced, however, because I certainly am if the Roleplay idea is appealing to me.


Patience is an absolute must for Roleplaying with me. I am a college student who also does volunteering and Jiu Jitsu. I also suffer from ADD and there may be times when I cannot sit still or focus on the Roleplay (I will let you know if this is happening). I am also just human and sometimes hit a wall with Writer's Block. It happens to all of us. I should also mention that sometimes, I may disappear for a few days or take a semi-hiatus because of real life stress. Don't worry as I won't vanish without telling you anything - if I have to take a break or drop our Roleplay, I'll tell you up front.


I consider myself to be an action girl as I mostly enjoy adventure-based Roleplays. This typically includes fantasy, post-apocalyptic, apocalyptic, supernatural/paranormal, and horror. I should note that these Roleplays tend to include Roleplay fighting and that is something that I am absolute garbage at writing. I'm trying to improve my Roleplay fighting skills, so bear with me.


I should also note that I adore well placed angst and drama in Roleplays. Mmmm, letting our characters suffer. I also tend to enjoy writing rather darkly, so bear with me on that one.


I enjoy slice of life quite a lot, but you lost me in anything involving an ordinary high school, college or camp without some sort of "twist" to it.


Much like Roleplay fighting, I enjoy romance, but I'm terrible at writing it. I also tend to hate romance that is pre-planned, though I have exceptions for everything. As far as romance goes, I'm more than happy to write MxF, MxM and FxF. I am not and never will be interested in fetish-based Roleplays, polyship or any ship that involves abuse or incest.


Smut is not an option when writing with me. There is a multitude of reasons as to why I'm not interested in smut and the top reason would be that I'm simply not comfortable with writing it.


As I don't plan on Roleplaying smut or any other form of mature content in my Roleplays, I'm comfortable with a partner of any age or gender so long as they're comfortable with me. If, for some unforeseen reason, mature content is introduced into the Roleplay, then I will only Roleplay with anyone aged eighteen and up.


If we are Roleplaying on the Guild, then I will only Roleplay through threads for anxiety reasons. If we are Roleplaying using a chat client, I would prefer to use Skype or Discord. I will give these away via PM for interested individuals.


I love to have a large and colorful cast so doubling is an absolute must for me. I will never require my partner to play more than one character, but I cannot be confined to simply one character as I find that to be extremely boring. I will make a character sheet for all of my characters and tend to make new characters for every Roleplay that I'm in. I will not ask my partner to follow the same character sheet as me and I hope that my partner will extend this same courtesy to me as well. I should also note that I am quite possibly the "queen of weeb" - in short, this means when it comes to designing characters and Roleplays, I tend to take a more "animated" approach. I do not necessarily expect my partner to feel the same (though it would be totally awesome if they did).


Hopefully, you managed to make your entire way through this and if you did, then congratulations! We are now one step closer to being Roleplay partners! Now that the boring stuff is out of the way, we can get into the fun stuff: actual information about Roleplay adventures that you and I might just embark upon.


Partner Expectations


Has similar interests (can be fandom, genre, etc). I don't care what - I simply want them to be interested in our Roleplay.
Is able to post at least once or twice a week.
Is patient with awaiting responses.
Is understanding in the case that I may need to drop the Roleplay and/or take a break due to stress/being busy.
Isn't looking for JUST romance. I don't mind romance as the main focus, but I want some focus on character development/plot too.
Has decent grammar (basically, I don't want "n den tey went 2 teh store").
Is able to communicate with me if they are bored with the Roleplay or are too busy. I won't bite if you drop a Roleplay!
Side Note: I'm fine with a partner of any age or gender unless mature content is introduced, then it would be 18+.
Side Note: Although this is the 1x1 section, I'm open to having two or even three partners in the same RP!
Side Note: I really want a partner that I have a natural synergy with.
Side Note: I would also love a partner that enjoys plotting and OOC Chatter, but this isn't a requirement.

Our characters attend Vitus Academy which is responsible for training young Witches, Faunus and Humans into peacekeepers of the future. Named after colors, these Meisters and convoluted weapons are tasked with ridding the world of corrupted souls and the Grimm menace once and for all. Our characters can be weapons, Meisters or both - they can be paired together or friends/rivals of one another.

Based On:A fanfiction I began writing.
Vacuo has never been the wealthiest country in Remnant and this may be attributed to the fact that government is nearly nonexistent and most of the landscape is a barren wasteland of sand. Although life is difficult in the sands of Vacuo, it's not impossible and those who can wield a weapon usually choose a lifestyle of stylish neutrality in the form of a bounty hunter, treasure hunter or explorer. This is the story of our characters - they are not the heroes and they are not the villains. 

They are simply trying to make a life for themselves.


Destiny's Coalition

Based On: A 1x1 Roleplay I was in that never began.
My characters and your character(s) are a scattered group of individuals who suddenly cross paths during the war between Hoshido and Nohr. Creating a ragtag army with no affiliation to either country, our characters suddenly find themselves tasked with a new life mission - ending the war between the two countries once and for all!


To Kill A Dragon

Based On: A fanfiction idea I had that never took off.
After sacrificing their own life in order to defeat Grima, a certain brilliant tactician finds him or herself floating in a void and are given a proposal by Grima: if they can slay someone with the same value as their own life, they may return to the world of living. Who else would make a better target than the wise dragon ruler of Valla who managed to unite the warring kingdoms of Hoshido and Nohr? 

Spoilers and canonical characters from both games will be present.


Soul Train

A small Colorado town has two things in common - it is filled with both insomniacs who like radios and Persona users. It may be impossible to see how these two traits are connected, but through a late night radio show known as "The Soul Train" these insomniacs from all walks of life find themselves designing new identities - that of a superhero who is hellbent on facing shadows now known as "Nightmares". Hidden under masks and taking to the streets at night, these vigilantes will build friendships, rivalries and a fanbase. And who knows? Maybe they might even learn about themselves in the process.

A Hunter's Oath

Based On: A Roleplay idea that I had and did nothing with.
Focused in the Supernatural universe, this Roleplay would follow original characters created by you and I. Our characters would be a team of hunters who are trying to deal with the mess that is the supernatural world. Our cast could include humans, angels, demons, werewolves, witches and anything else introduced in the Supernatural world. 

Canonical characters will rarely appear (if they appear at all outside of brief mention). The starting point of the Roleplay would likely be immediately after season five.


Island In The Middle Of The Multiverse

Based On:A Roleplay I created.
Paradiso Island is truly the epitome of tranquility. After washing up onto its sandy white shores, our characters find themselves with the sudden realization that they have no memories aside from that of their names, nicknames, birthdays, ages and favorite colors. Finding themselves with nowhere else to go, our characters make this island their temporary home. As time begins to pass, our characters adjust to the island and all its strange inhabitants - including themselves. 

This Roleplay is a crossover based off of Tomodachi Life which can be either light-hearted and humorous or increasingly dark. More information about this Roleplay can be found in the link provided above.

I'm fine with any pairing with the exception of anything that is considered illegal which would include incest and extreme age differences. While I don't have any particular tastes, I do love to have multiple pairings in one Roleplay and generally tend to enjoy "forbidden romances" (I'm extremely cliche). I am essentially a blank slate when it comes to pairings and if you would like to suggest one to me, I might just be interested in writing it.


I have no actual name for these as they don't fit with neither pairings nor genres, but seem to exist in my mind as "core" ideas that we could use to design our Roleplay. For now, I've taken to referring to them as "cores". Said "cores" include:Alternate History

Road Trip

Your character(s) and my characters are either highschool, college or online friends that have decided to take a road trip across the country during their summer and shenanigans ensue!  Alternatively, they could be backpacking across Europe, Australia, Asia, South America or possibly the entire world.


Dead Air
Genre: Apocalyptic, Post-Apocalyptic
Fandom: None.

Based On: A 1x1 Roleplay I was in that never began.
The world is slowly ending and our characters are survivors that have been scattered among a ruined city trying to find each other through the use of ham radios (alternatively, our characters could be communicating through writing on the walls of safe houses). The ongoing apocalypse would be decided by us and it could be zombies, disease, eternal winter, nuclear war and so on.

Based On: A story I wrote after being inspired by Starset's Transmissions album.
The world ended many years ago as a result of a Second Ice Age among other causes. As a result of the world "ending", remaining humans were shoved away into compounds, pushed into military service, became part of the local "tribes" or were forced to live a life of crime through thieving and murder. Your character(s) and my characters are inhabitants of an underground compound with the belief that there is no outside world until they receive a mysterious transmission from the surface world! Determined to find out the truth, our characters set out on a journey together. Alternatively, our characters can be from a tribe, the military, a group of raiders or a mixture of all four.

Based On:A Roleplay I created.
It was no secret that they were unloved and forgotten. If there was ever an individual that could be considered "evil", it would be the one who hatched the idea of kidnapping orphans and runaways off the streets and bringing them "home". . . to be tested on. The experiments led to the death of its creator nearly six years later after the "children" awoke from their comatose state to find themselves with strange abilities, amnesia and a body much older than they remembered. They are also surprised to discovered that the world may have just ended as well. . .

Halloween

Based On: None.
Your character(s) and my characters are strangers who attend the same highschool/college (our cast of characters can also include ghosts and other related supernatural entities). As a test of courage, our characters visit a local abandoned house (alternatively, the house can be a hospital, hotel, mansion or anything similar) that is rumored to be haunted and decide to celebrate Halloween while there. Expecting nothing to happen, our characters are greeted with a spooky surprise. This Roleplay can either be humorous and light-hearted or dark.


Necronomicon
Genre: Supernatural/Paranormal, Slice Of Life (Optional), Horror (Optional)

Interest: Medium
Based On: None.
Although it seems as if most rituals, cults and devil worship have disappeared with time, this doesn't hold true for one group of highschool/college students. Somehow drawn to the paranormal for their own reasons, this group of individuals finds themselves experimenting with the dark and dead. It is on one fateful night that they are successful in summoning a low level demon who seems to have "ambitions" of their own. In order to fulfill these ambitions, the demon finds him or herself joining sides with the novice summoners as they set off on a journey to find the fabled Necronomicon. 

Some ideas that may add onto this plot would include the possibility of the demon threatening the summoners to accompany them, the summoners not actually being human or the idea of the demon slowly becoming sympathetic to humanity and its struggles.

Based On:A Roleplay I created.
Our characters are currently struggling during a hard period in their lives and find that they are being guarded by a mysterious power. This mysterious power allows them the ability to escape their problems by visiting a strange café that is nestled between space and time - the Star Crossed Café. Our characters find themselves visiting this café often as they learn more about each other, themselves and the worlds around them.

Winter Tales

Based On: A Roleplay I created.
There is a small village hidden away at the peaks of the European Alps. This lovely village is home to many supernatural creatures such as witches, vampires, fairies, werewolves and so on. While a magical barrier protects the village from human eye, this does not seem to be the case in the month of December and often times, humans find themselves warped here by some unknown magical means! This will be the story of human(s) and supernatural(s) played by you and I who will cross paths over the holiday season. 

This Roleplay can either take a route involving romance, friendship or both. Lore and additional Roleplay information would be written and designed by us.


Moonlight Sonata

Based On:A Roleplay I created.
After hearing a mysterious melody, a set of troubled humans find themselves warped to a mysterious world filled with supernatural creatures! Confined in a small mythical town known as Luminescence, the humans quickly learn the rules of this world - if they wish to stay in this strange world, they must find a supernatural love interest to dance with at the monthly Lunar Dance. The clock is on and the humans have thirty days - will they find someone meant for them or be sent back home?
