The carriage ride to Nan Gau had been much longer than expected and full of switch-backs and narrow mountain trails than KaMara had expected. But it wasn't like she could've looked up 'Nan Gau' online and checked out what the place was like. Not in this world, as far as she could tell anyway. She'd answered the call for Adventurers in defense of a town and that'd been good enough for her.

The tall blonde human woman in dark colored western armor stood out against the vaguely Asian, she surmised, backdrop of the Nan Gau village as she emerged from the transport into the cool mountain air. She'd surveyed the carnage surrounding the village as the caravan had approached the secluded mountain village, taking in the details of the enormous struggle facing the town. Whether the meager force that has come to assist would be of any help KaMara couldn't say but that wouldn't deter her from putting herself in harm's way to buy the town another day.

Mustering into the Adventurer's Guild House she surveyed the others that had accompanied her. Two other women, a fighter or assassin of some sort who carried herself with confidence and another in a sensible business suit. A mage or support of some kind maybe, she thought to herself, either way anyone brave enough to sign up for what could be a one-way trip deserved respect. KaMara nodded appreciatively at both of them before the giant Bear-man in charge, Ryota, dressed them down and ushered them towards the meeting hall for further debrief.
KaMara shuffled up beside the lady in the business suit, leaning in to whisper, "Oh. My. Gosh. I love those shoes! Did they come with you from Earth or did you get those here?"

"Rushing waters are definitely not the shirt if trap I'd have expected in a desert tomb." AnoYi mused to Gutou, honestly impressed. " Apologies for the rough ride. I just didn't want you getting swept away in the flash flood, m'man." No sense in losing their undead tour guide, after all.
" Everyone okay down there?" the swordsman called to his compatriots down the hallway. Once the murky waters had subsided, AnoYi made his way from the ruined column back to the floor. Grit ground underneath his boots as he walked over the damp sandstone.
The crashing, gunfire and electrical flicker coming from the depths of the corridor gave AnoYi a small grasp of the conflict going on down the hallway. A thought formed about how to respond to Gotou's assertion that his people weren't exactly around anymore...at least not in a way that the undead tomb guardian would recognize. He opened his mouth to say something but the sudden woosh of air that tickled the whiskers on his snout shut the thought out of his mind in a flash. He turned, squinting towards the corridor where Alaerin and von Mackenstein had explored. The wet, burbling noises surging down the corridor along with the sudden sharp breeze sent a primal alarm into the Coyote's mind. Gutou's absurdly sudden interest in the commotion down the hall was concerning. AnoYi wasn't sure how sturdy the four-armed tomb guardian was but he wasn't going to trust the doddering mummy's fate to a hunch. Plus, they might need the old crypt guardian to get at the Flute.
AnoYi snatched Gutou up and made for the highest section of the fallen columns that remained. Having grown up in the desert, even before coming to this world, he knew how dangerous flash floods could be. "Up you go. You're coming with me, Gutou." the Coyote announced as he scampered his way to the top of a sandstone column.

Actions:
1) Grab Gatou
2) Scamper to climb to safety (Fast F)(Jump F)
3) brace for impact (Str D)
The Coyote swordsman remained paused at the junction where the party had encountered Gotou, the Tomb Guardian, as Alaerin and the Constructs ventured into the dimly lit orange hued tunnel. Gotou became erratically chatty, as if both trying to satisfy some idle curiosity as well as detracting from the ominous noises beginning to echo down the hallway ahead of the explorers.
"Oh?" AnoYi split his attention between the Tomb Guardian and the hallway, his ears flicking between the two sound sources. "My blade? It's a Ryken Corsair's Cutlass. A fine steel blade, strong and yet flexible. I guess it was developed after the fall of your people? What blades did they use, if I may ask?"
The din and noise sharply increased from due the hallway as Alaerin and von Mackenstein encountered the tentacled monstrosity before them. The sharp crack of the fusiliers' weapons and the electric flashes of Alaerin's lightning echoed in the tomb. " Let's wait on going to the door until we can be sure our compatriots can handle whatever is at the end of the corridor.". They had handled the golems quite handily together so AnoYi had no illusions that they were competent combatants. Yet still, he did not feel right leaving them without backup or rescue, should they need assistance.
AnoYi let Silus tend his wounds as best the equipment available let him as the Coyote listened to Gutou ramble. It seemed that cultural knowledge disappeared from the skeletal creature's memory under the weight of aeons as readily as it did from the Temple's sand-eroded facade. That seemed all the more sad, really. This lone sentinel of an age long past; one that doesn't even truly remember the Emperor it was cursed to eternally serve...

" We're here to get the Flute, not mount an archeological expedition." the Swordsman argued. "But I can't argue with the logic of not leaving any unknowns or surprises behind to catch us on the way out... We must be wary of dwindling our resources unnecessarily tho."
He wasn't sure exactly what kind of supplies the Automatons might need, if any beyond what he assumed was a limited ammo supply, but the flesh and blood amongst the expedition would certainly need food, water and, importantly, light. Alaerin could make his own but the rest of them couldn't. AnoYi had grown up in the desert, albeit on a vastly different world, and knew the environment could be just as deadly as a monster.
Negotiating, if it could indeed be called that, with the undead guardian of the tomb made AnoYi feel a bit better about raiding the tomb. "You, Gutou, do seem a bit lonesome... After all this time, wouldn't having a group of adventurers challenging the temple for its treasures break up all those silent years of boredom guarding this tomb?" He shrugged nonchalantly, " I'd like to hear more about this tomb, your Emperor, and your people. I can't say that I've heard anything about any of that in the sunlit world. Seems a shame to let all that go unknown...". Gutou seemed like a reasonable creature instead of a slavering monster AnoYi had expected.
" I'm from a bit further away than either of those places, um, Gutou is it??" the Coyote returned the skeleton's query. " Regardless of our origins, we're all here for something in particular. A flute. You, as Tomb Keeper, no doubt know of it?"
AnoYi gambled on revealing their goal but figured the Keeper was brought enough, even in undeath, to guess at what this motley crew was here for. They couldn't be the first to quest after it but hopefully they'd make off with the treasure and be the last.
As he spoke, he stood beside Silus and nodded to acquiesce to having the Apothecary treat what wounds he could. "I sincerely appreciate any remedy that you can render, Silus."
Character: AnoYi
Status: cautious

Glad to see the phantom hands retreat but less glad to see their owner appearing at the end of the hallway, the Coyote swordsman whistled a low tone as the four-armed skeleton made its appearance. "You don't see that every day... You doin' okay, Silus?" he asked the apothecary as he kept an eye on the exchange between Alaeric, von Mackenstein and the four-armed skeleton.
He was ready to provide backup to the two should things go poorly with the current 'negotiations' but kept a wary eye out for any other tricks the skeleton might try to pull.
Character: AnoYi
Status: recovering

The Coyote's usually sharp hearing rang with a high pitched whine that matched the double and triple vision as his consciousness wavered in the twilight realm between the waking world and total unconsciousness. The only thing he could remember was a walking moving statue but not how he'd ended up tasting sand and blood. Clawed fingers scrabbled over the sandstone tiles as he tried to stand, something inside him spurring him to get up.
A burst of red color flooded around him, the mist clinging to his crippled form. He gave a great heave and breathed in the crimson mists and felt inexorably drawn back to the 'here and now'...or what passed for it. Coughing and rising unsteadily, he oriented himself to the situation. Scraping himself off the gritty floor even as bone and muscle knitted back together, AnoYi blinked a couple of times before moving to assist Silus against his ghostly attackers.
"Thanks for the assist! Now I know how roadkill feels..." he quipped as his blade flashed against the ghostly gripping hands grasping at Silus.

Actions:
1) recover
2) Move towards Silus (Fast F)
3) Attack the ghostly hands (basic attack)
