Claire tried to nod to the chef as some form of thankful recognition, but he was gone to work before their eyes could meet. She let her eyes trail back to the interior, a winged girl who had just sat down near her, was now walking towards one wall of the tavern. Claire watched as she went and fearlessly spoke with a stranger. An armed stranger. As the girl seemed to start walking back, Claire jerked her head down. Starring was rude. A friendly voice to her side drew her eyes back up in mere seconds though. The same winged girl was sitting next to her, a warm smile on her lips. "Oh.." Claire muttered mindlessly. "Ah...My name is...Claire." She looked the girl up and down, taking in a few more details now that she wasn't moving. An interesting soul, to be sure. "No I don't mind...I was just hoping for company actually." A sort of lie, but she didn't wan't to push this girl away. She seemed quite nice. Claire looked past her new conversation partner to eye the other girl Historia had spoken to. It seems they were also invited over. Interesting... Almost as interesting as the one armed girl with a panther. That would be hard to beat though. She walked through the inner workings of the business with some obvious comfort, and went to sit with her...pet. Claire studied them for a moment. Interesting, interesting, interesting. "I have some food coming...if you don't mind." She mentioned to Historia. Some found it odd when one person ate in a group of others who didn't, and she didn't know if this winged fellow had any of her own coming or not. Not to mention the shifty third party in their little group. She regarded again the girl who was now sitting next to Historia, they seemed to be busy looking for a chance to ask the barkeep something. Maybe she would wait until they spoke first...
<Snipped quote by deadpixel101> It's up to you. Right now, I'm still working on a few things, like missions, so there's nothing incredibly important coming up yet.
... I'm using this an excuse to post. Don't judge me.
Should I wait for others to make their first posts or can I go continue? I feel as though I might want to wait for others.
<Snipped quote by deadpixel101> want me to try to bring in Clair too?
Eyyyy. If you would like. (I'm trying to say yes without saying yes.)
When or if anyone ever feels like it, I wouldn't mind if Clair had someone to chat with. We have a few anti-social people in game so getting them all acquainted might be a little "funny".
Ahhhhhhh I don't know what to do but I posted. Woo.
Claire pushed the entrance door slowly open. Her small frame creating a much larger shadow into the more dim building. Her dress was in the same condition it had been yesterday when she first entered the tavern, which is to say it was nothing more than a glorified rag at this point. She had one hand pulling on a strap of her travel bag to support it's weight. Her hair was in a frayed frenzy and she didn't seem to really mind. The most "done up" part of her was the sash on around her waist. Looking very nearly pristine it was tied in a large bow behind her back. The only reason it wasn't completely filthy was because she usually had the other side turning outwards, but hey, everyone wants to look good once in a while. Her face had dirt on it, but that didn't seem to bother her. Ignoring most others as she walked, Claire paced the floor, heading straight towards the bar. She let the weight on her shoulders fall to the ground. Taking a seat beside her luggage she rested her arms on the counter, her body seemed to sag down and her eyes followed. She sat is silence for a small time, before letting a sigh fall loose. She had eaten here yesterday, but that was quite late, and she didn't yet have the means to stay the night in the tavern. Alleys can be quite comfortable if you get used to it. "I would like to have something to eat please...if you have the time." She asked dryly to Bernard. The stoic man quite obviously didn't seem to move when she sat directly in front of him. "Sorry for the trouble..." she added immediately after. She looked up the man with a soft yet somewhat devoid gaze. Lingering for no longer than a second, it left him though, and went to search the place. She needed to take up some missions...something a bit bigger, to be useful. But she didn't want to try anything such as that alone.
Sorry for another question Sess, especially because this is probably obvious, but "tavern" means they also rent rooms correct? I feel as though this was either implied or straight up said but I can't remember and I just like to be sure before I make my post.
