The daughter of Zeus is a walking contradiction. Her personality is truly hard to pin point because she's all over the place and great at molding herself with different people (like a chameleon). She's a people pleaser through and through, putting their well being first before her own. Ceil is the type of person who will wake up late at night to your phone call and make sure she's there for you. If you need to see a friend ASAP, no problem. She'll find a way to meet you somewhere, even if that means she has to drop her own obligations. People say she has a wise mind like her father, but also harbors his carefree nature, which leads to her stumbling into dangerous situations. The one thing that she will never relate to when it comes to Zeus (or so she thinks) is his need to jump from lover to lover. Most people that do not know her have a hard time believing she's as loyal as Hera - even to levels where she'll go scary lengths for you.
From being a rather silly person, who enjoys life and comes off as a geeky dork, she can also be fairly intimate. Nearly all the bonds she makes reaches people's hearts because of how supportive she is and the mere fact that she listens, wholeheartedly. Conceived and raised in the ghetto of Bridgeport, Connecticut, Cecily's mother had Chinese, Dutch, and Polynesian descent, while her father was a god. Not just any god. The King of gods. Her mother was rather young when she gave birth to her. It seemed like Zeus saw a beautiful woman and wooed her until he could give her a taste of his sweet nectar. Ceil's mother did have a thing for troublesome men. Who would have expected she'd carry the child of the icon of those men? Zeus found out about the pregnancy and hoped for a son, but at last, life was never ideal and his mistress gave him a daughter. To say he was disappointed was an understatement.
The woman with hardly anything to her name could not afford to raise the child on her own so she begged Zeus to take the child, give his baby girl a life that she could not. Zeus had other plans in mind. Instead of taking in the sweet infant of his, who resembled her mother tremendously, he gave the woman a promise. He promised he'd watch over her from afar but would not make any contact with her until the demigod was ready. He gave his mistress an ultimatum, she would keep his child and raise her to his likeness, for he could only acknowledge strong leaders as his own, and in return he would give her food, shelter, and clothing to wear. He would provide her and his child stability. When the time came for him to take Cecily, he'd offer his mistress 'paradise'.
That was not what the mother wanted to hear. She hated herself for letting another man, a GOD, take advantage of her and give her no choice in her own life, but she knew that anything with his blood would be precious to him. No one says no to Zeus, especially someone of her level. However, instead of teaching her daughter everything about her father (instead of painting him in a brilliant light), Ceil's mother expanded the little one's mind, making her far more open minded to possibilities. She believed even a kind and forgiving person could be a grand ruler. To her benefit, Zeus was a man with many distractions and allowed his mistress to shelter the girl and mold her to a image she deemed fit. Without a doubt, this child would be conflicted when it came to being the two people her parents wanted her to be and finding herself. Her explorations was limited to school and books.
