Just curious, how long would posts tend to be?

I don't set a required limit myself as some moments wouldn't benefit from going too deep into narration, or would be stumbling if you try and add a lot of dialog to add "meat" to a conversation. So if you're going to talk with other player-characters without playing it out first in PMs then I don't set rigid standards on that pretense. Though over-all I do like to see effort and would appreciate three-paragaphs at least. But you're perfectly invited to write as much as you want beyond that.

Once upon a time, in the magical world of Equestria...

... there came an era when the ideals of friendship gave way to greed, selfishness, paranoia and a jealous reaping of dwindling space and natural resources. Lands took up arms against their neighbors. The end of the world occurred much as we had predicted - the world was plunged into an abyss of balefire and dark magic. The details are trivial and pointless. The reasons, as always, purely our own. The world was nearly wiped clean of life. A great cleansing; a magical spark struck by pony hooves quickly raged out of control. Megaspells rained from the skies. Entire lands were swallowed in flames and fell beneath boiling oceans. Ponykind was almost extinguished, their spirits becoming part of the ambient radiation that blanketed the lands. A quiet darkness fell across the world...

... but it was not, as some has predicted, the end of the world. Instead, the apocalypse was simply the prologue for another bloody chapter in pony history. In the early days, thousands were spared the horrors of the holocaust by taking refuge in enormous underground shelters known as Stables. But when they emerged, they had only the hell of the wastes to greet them. All except those in Stable Two. For on that fateful day when spellfire rained from the sky, the giant steel door of Stable Two swung close, and never re-opened...

-Prologue, Fallout Equestria. Kkat.

What is Fallout: Equestria?

Written in 2011, Fallout: Equestria was a fanfiction of the My Little Pony and Fallout universe authored by Kkat. In that simpler time, no one could probably predict the behemoth that the novel-length fan-fiction would release unto the world. Even before the fiction was finished the world of cruel juxtapositions that Kkat had spun created - in effect - a sub-fandom living within a fandom itself. Spinning the cruelties of the wasteland of Fallout in with the colorful magic of My Little Pony it was a cross-breeding that probably should not have succeed. But by some stroke of luck or brilliance it worked. And the resulting story - Fallout: Equestria - is lauded as being perhaps one of the brony world's best pieces of literature spawning many hundreds of sub-fics/fan-fictions all its own, music, artwork, a radio play, and even a video game in the works.

In just about three years the FoE world has exploded and continues to chug heavily with a dedicated fandom doubling as fans of the show My Little Pony.

The magic of the story comes in a sense to its workable juxtaposition of the darkness of the Wasteland to the colorful brilliance of the [former] pony world. In its devastation it creates in itself a hope for betterment and the rediscovery of the virtues of old that held Equestria - and the world - together like glue. This does not come with its own tests and challenges to its characters in the form of blood, sweat, tears, and smoke.

It's size and strength as a literary work thus leads me to throw caution to the wind and say: why the fuck not RP it?

It's not like there are already many more doing the same in Kkat's world. So, let's partake in a little something?

Fallout: Equestria - A Primer

(Meaty spoilers abound)

Come here more.
I was going to say something in that. Besides an illogical location for weaknesses-strengths, let alone effectively being lizard-people, they are stated to have magical abilities which was made clear doesn't exist.

Plus whenever I hear -kin I can't help but think of Tumblr and cringe.
Just waitin' on IC.
Huehuehue.

Also, before I forget: went and did a character portrait:

So there is that, so where are my posts?

While we're on the subject of travel; I once went to Wales over in the UK for a week. Beautiful country, nice people, and a lot of history. You can walk inside buildings older than the United States (which I guess is true for many other countries). But overall it was an amazing experience.By the way Dinh, loving the Game of Thrones reference.

For a moment I suspected you saw a reference in one of my IC posts I did not intend to put in. Then I came to the conclusion you meant the .gif I posted.

Well that sounds like fun; I should visit another country some day. Get out and see new parts of the world. It'd be fun, and it's a pity it's so expensive.

I went to New Orleans for five days this passed year. It's an awesome place to be. Great music, food, and beer (of course). Post-mardi gras and pre-summer NOLA is a good time to be there.

Even if it was overcast the full five days.

But anyway, I suppose I won't be creating a new nation after all. I managed to get the culture section done for Hanartha; and anyone looking to use marriages for political purposes with the Hanarth will be sorely disappointed. :D

You say this like you're giving up, then continue like you're staying true. What is it!? :P

Also, I doubt people would have gone for marriages to that effect anyways. In my experience in this genre I haven't seen anyone pursue and fill out marriages between rulers or even the royal families. Even if as a way to allow them to step out from the RP for good by effectively signing two nations over to one in a personal union.
