As much as it sticks in my throat to admit it, I understand Dinh's argument because it's made from a statistical standpoint rather than the more red-pill-esque, bitterness-driven codswallop the OP is spouting.

There's also often clear cultural divisions that would be a put-off. But still, to the bulk of people there's going to be enough of a cultural stigma surrounding them or you that there's going to be a sort of rejection of the other enough so you're not going to marry. Oh, i'm not blaming the gold diggers. I like to think of myself as a pretty sentimental, considerate type of dude. We may be looking at an era of the officialization of choice community content. Though this has already been a sorta-thing when it comes to Bethesda and the development of New Vegas off of Fallout 3; NV was built using concepts from mods or mods of Fallout 3.

And Valve has done what I imagine most would have dreamed of on some level with the use of Patreon or Kickstarter to fund these projects; managed to cut a deal with Bethesda to pay people in exchange they get royalties all the same, which is being managed by Valve now.
