Yes, but the auto-industry only really works if you can get in the supplies. Not going to say its impossible, but it'd be difficult to save something when you're still blocked off from usable commercial ports by fascists and communists alike. And by this point, consumer purchasing ability would lie largely in used car sales. And not to mention the Big Three was really disliked in most cases by their own workers and struggled against unions.

Have you done any research on the picked area, or are you just imposing your own thing over an existing canvas with a trowel and a lot of ill-mixed plaster?
Good to know I have plenty extras.

@Dinh AaronMk being a full republic....not republican.

You don't know anything about American political parties, do you?

You made a good point about the gold though, so I might have to change the currency to a form of credit...or sliver or platinum standard instead of gold.....

Most likely just as doomed tbh.
everyone keeps saying the rp started in 2010. it kinda started in 2011 tho.

It started at a time and I was too lazy to look at the Wiki.
I also forgot the Jews, but they can breath a sigh of relief that I did.

There's a fun story.

Googer founded this RP back in 2010 on the Sporum but from what I understand (I wasn't around then), they jumped off that sinking ship and migrated to Minecraft Forums (MCF) in 2011-2012, where it continued for a few years. The admin of MCF, a squid named Citric, took a page from Stalins book and started purging the "Other" section of things he disliked - swearing, politics and chat threads. HugtheZombie/Pepperm1nts and Feokris/Shyri, two of our own, had infiltrated the moderators outer circles and the Precipricks tried to encourage better-quality RP through them. There was even a roleplay discussion thread that had slipped through the cracks and basically became a place for us to shitpost, chat and advertise new RP's. Anyway, somehow Citric found out and started purging the Roleplay section. Feo got put into "retirement" and Hugs was outright de-modded for "neglecting their duties" (not enforcing the swear ban properly, allowing a chat thread to exist). I think Evan or Vilage even got banned or something. We eventually found out a guy on the forum who disliked us had sold us out to the secret police and then Aaron dragged us over here 2 years ago or so. The old threads are still up, buried beneath highschool RPs and Aaron still shitposts there sometimes.

The way we left the sporum was sorta similar.

To tell as a man who had lived:

Gorgenmast created the original Precipice of War in 2010. He ran it for a few months and I was elected as its new leader. I led Precipice up until somewhere in 2011 when I decided to take the RP and jump-ship. It had also in a way been sort of in a coma state for a while before.

But on the Spore Forums (Sporums) I and Vilage ran with a clique (the Emoticones) that protested the mods who were left to enforce the rules of the forums after the admins straight-up disappeared. They created a system of rotating week-long bans to suppress people they disapproved of and basically went about that thing that creates bad communities around franchises: create and encourage an echo-chamber.

Ironically I count myself a friend with an old mod from there, Slyth. He's left the forums behind and might - like me - check up on it and is shocked that some of the old moderating faces still try to moderate it and expresses a morbid fascination that the key mod that Vilage and I weren't on good terms with, BlackBird stuck around so long. Another, named Slime still moderates too, but we think that's just because he's an unemployed Greek youth.

The RP on the MCF lasted a long-ass time. But yea, things started to get iffy when the administration there tried to reel things in. In retrospect I think these things were done to sort of make a space for all the young people getting into Minecraft could come and connect and marked the beginning of the trend where Minecraft became a thirteen year-olds play pen as opposed to the trendy adult hipster's sandbox. So the change is rules reflected a sort of change in demographics.

Still: all the same we were at the bottom of the list in the off-topic section and were rather ignored. But then the admins totally deleted the politics sub-forum and re-negged on a compromise for a swearing filter and enforced absolute censorship on foul language that still exists (I just had my rotating signature removed because an admin noticed it contained vulgarity).

The ship was sunk for PoW when the attention of the admins directly came to RP. We had managed at the time to get a stickies chat thread which became the RP hang-out for old-fags and new. Admittedly at the time we were shitposting and spamming for amusement with some other folk. But probably because Hugs posted and joined in without doing anything, he got murdered and Feo forced from office and several of us banned outright. The sticky was unstuck and locked and it wasn't until there was a campaign in the last days of our twilight time there that the admins capitulated and brought it back.

And fast-forward to 2016 and I end up playing MvM by complete random chance with one of the people who took offense with out existence.

We didn't talk about it, and I didn't bother with spamming, "WE KNOW" in chat.

A few points:

The Great Depression in America was in part created by or aggravated by an excess in materials production that crashed the commodity market and smashed industries after manufacturers soon found that what they were producing had a market price far below their manufacturing price. In most cases - in particular agriculture - the immediate answer these firms figured would save them from having to liquidate all assets and to not foreclose on land when they failed to pay on their debts was to produce even more; crashing prices even more. An industrial panic ensued as companies failed to meet growth and their stocks dropped, starting a selling frenzy with no stock buyers and money started to burn.

Banks that had spent into the stock market to make higher returns never got their money back and that burned, and the rest was dried up in panic-driven withdrawals of savings.

To suggest that the "economy is growing again" in that you have expanded industry in the "Application Mountains" it's like saying you made the leg that got shot off with the shotgun better by blowing the rest of it up with a grenade. In essence, that was Hoover's plan to recover from the depression: encourage more production output to crash commodity prices lower and in potential effect crash more firms.

It's what happened to help make the Dustbowl, and why I picked up the Dustbowl; because as a player I was honestly terrified a player like you would fail to realize the conditions of the crash and patch over the problem with the thing that made the problem worse in the first place.

As well on the economic note: with the world economy crashing as fucking hard as it is gold would have gone with it. It'd have value yes: but nothing worth its weight as it was and no buyers for something as unsubstantial as gold.

In short: you're tackling a massive deflationary problem with deflationary tactics and expecting to sell massively deflated gold with no buying market, all the while having a society flooded with product no one needs, wants, or can buy.

Socially, I'd like to comment American populism was hugely defined by socialist, communist, or even fascist policies. Have you hear of Huey Long? He was a massively powerful and popular Lousianan democratic senator that tippified the popularity of left-wing government.

All hail The Kingfish!

So trying to stomp out the ideological strain that was so popular at the time will just make the region very unstable. And if the regional policy is that of Hooverism, it's that of the Republican Party. And the Republican Party was very, very small army. They wouldn't be fielding the army which you described; they'd have gotten rid of most of that.

EDIT - To also swing back to the economic point: how do you actually intend to get anything to market? Everything you produce for an international market has no viable ports to pass through, or those not already controlled by another nation. Those goods would probably be taxed, charged, and tariff'd. So when shippers get a hold of that product and get it to Europe, there prices would be inflated to not only cover standard shipping fees, but the trading expenses added by tarrifs and trade taxes the likes of New York, The Pacific States, or the commie-south would impose on these goods to help pay bills. And then they have to go through local European tariffs and at the end of the day they're priced at a massive disadvantage to local products and BMW and Ferarri gets to smile smugly on their local monopoly of central Europe because Ford and GM is absolutely castrated and none of us have the political power to do anything.

You're at a massive disadvantage mate, like the rest of us.
@Doctoryzer

The problem looking at your app is that it's very unclear and vague. And the map is very unhelpful. I can see the cause for a lot of confusion or even points where you might push unspecified land-claims.

But I did include those areas in my map, which is not the area I'm contending here.
