.... If there's one thing I absolutely loathe about modern geek culture, it's the obsession with getting rid of established classic characters and replacing them with race- or gender-swapped proxies. I think it's generally done less out of love for a character and more to push politics I don't support, I think it causes more problems in the fandoms than it solves, and I think it brings out the worst in people on both sides of the argument. Fucking hate it. ....

I do have a character thank I'm still writing up. I'd hoped to have the CS completed by now, but I've gone back and forth a bit with the direction I wanna take the character and what changes I wanted to make to make it 'ultimate'.
I PMed the GMs a 7 days ago with my original idea for the character. 4 days ago I PMed them saying I was changing things up. And soon, I'll be PMing them again because I've not only changed things up again, but I have a definite direction I wanna go with now and I'm fairly confident I can pull it off.
I'm actually working on the sample post now. After I finish it and do some proof-reading and mostly likely some tweaking I'll present it to the GMs.
So if no one else goes for the same character (which I believe one current player did show interest in doing so a while back) and I get approved, then only thing I'll have to worry about is trying to keep up with everyone's awesome writing ability.
EDIT - Thor and Superman better watch out!
I have an epilogue still to compose especially now thanks to the Surfer illuminating Loki's antics to Thor.
It's not like he was going to figure it out on his own.
