Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

Ah, alright-

Thought there was something I needed to fix, lol. So we can move our sheets over to the Character tab? I'm ready whenever.
Y'know what.

I offer myself as tribute to be a lore keeper. If we end up needing multiple. Given how most threads I'm in move at a steady, decent pace, with downtimes, I'm usually free. If a sample of my writing is needed, got thread links, plus my personal lore documents I wrote for an off site Persistent World.
@Rosalite

Yooo, sweet! I cleared RF4 ages ago(like, within a year of getting it, not counting the third story arc), and while I've yet to touch the older games due to Gamestop not carrying them...ToD is sitting in my library, untouched beyond some minor stuff. I'm for sure interested in whatever we can make work!

I also partly asked due to two of my personal OCs being derived from either the Rune Factory EU Persistent me and a ton of other rpers ran around inside(even if most never touched the background lore beyond "oh this is where we are, cool, what's that guy doing?"), or come from the crossovers that resulted of it. Well, three if we count the CS I have posted in my personal CS thread.

Sorry, I can tend to ramble sometimes. Honestly, with RF its pretty much easy to do a story set anywhere anywhen in the timeline laid out vaguely by the games. Given the backdrop from RF1-4 is the Sechs War off in the distance, with most folks never seeing action there. I uh...

Confession time, I'm an RF lore junkie, I spent way too much time digging into the game series for my own amusement and to help others. So uh yeah, I know a lot, oof. Long story short, I can work with RF, Harvest Moon, or Fire Emblem, or whatever, really, to be honest. Sorry to be late here and all, I've been off my laptop since I got up about twelve hours ago, and the guild was being weird and fincky for a bit so eh. Anyways, get back to me whenever you want, no rush here!

...I've also been considering a larger group RF themed thread, but its still in the planning stages for me presently. Matter of backdrop, and deciding the vague plotline, and working up nerve to do it and all tbh.
@Chiro @DocRock

They're both good in my eyes. There's just one problem with your character sheets.

Shall we start say... tomorrow?

Start tomorrow as in begin the rp tomorrow or discuss the issues? I mean, all ears here either way.
I might be interested. I do enjoy Fire Emblem related antics.

That said, I glanced here out of curioity and seeing Fire Emblem, then my gaze dropped to see Harvest Moon. Huge fan of that series, and the spiritual successor/spin-off series Rune Factory that they made as part of an anniversary. If you're not familiar with RF, that's fine, but admittedly, twas curious to ask if you might be interested in doing something akin to that.

Hope that its fine I dropped a line of interest!
Reply's up, I can poke one of the others who was gonna come with us to the castle, since I share a Discord, if needed.

He nodded. What the other said regarding going back to the base first made sense. The promise of a library, a mine, and a variety of other factors had him internally excited, some of it visible in his eyes, but he did try to keep it restrained. The mention of Astra, followed by her voice, made Chris smile. The thought of learning how exactly she'd been made might help them later down the line, incase they tried to make new NPCs. If that was even possible now.

"Pleasure to meet you, Astra. Yeah, I'm good with heading to the fort first. We can talk more on the way, if we don't just teleport there."

Admittedly, Chris wasn't sure how far they'd have to travel, as the lack of rapid travel beyond magic to take one back to the heart of their guild(which might not work for him, given his status as a different guild member from the others), made things...difficult. The thought of Leonardo Da Vinci's works came to mind, such as his flying machine. Admittedly, it was probably beyond his own understanding to build, but the basic concept was there. He'd probably need to level a bit more, and then try to build a Mechanical Construct, something he'd read about, and idly, he wondered if Astra counted as one of those. Perhaps a Folding Boat too would be good down the line. They were a long ways from the technology base needed for certain key aspects of the original world...but enough of that, he'd worry about building faster means of old world transportation later.

"Ready when you guys are, also before I forget, let's not dismantle the golems until we're sure we won't need their strength. Push comes to shove, we can shove say, a stone golem into a catapult, and use that as a projectile, if they're cool with it."

He fell silent after that, indicating with a hand gesture he was ready to leave with Kai. He'd have to figure out what other items could be used to form contacts. Like if Sending Stones were a thing, he'd never made them if they were, but with NPCs as a factor...they'd be useful. A good multitasker is a scary person.

@Rabidporcupine
Completely reasonable, tbh. I'm here all night.
Wew, glad you like it.

Guessing we need to wait on the Head GMs input?
Nameless

She looked around, processing the suggestion to get to know everyone. A mission given, to retrieve data. If only she had a connection to the Imperium, she could have requested help from the more advanced units. Even if it meant risking say, Tyrant faction members popping up to cause chaos. The nameless android considered what else to do. She glanced around at the others present again, then looked towards the other android(02), ignoring the girl who had popped out of a mecha for the moment. She tilted her head, studying, wondering if they'd be someone worth making "friends" with. That was the term in her database, a concept that other models would laugh at perhaps.

Being a lower ranked model, she was impressive technologically, sure, but nothing compared to even the older models, let alone the Master or Grandmaster models. Or the ones who had gathered extensive amounts of bio-data, and used that data. She blinked a few times, then looked back to Praxis, accepting the mission given with ease. "I'll do my best...all things considered." Again, part of her wished for others of her kind, so she could have the aid. Not being truly designed for combat was...not good. She looked around more, wishing she had some of the better upgrades, but what she had would have to do. Here was hoping the mission would be easy, right?
