Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

Haven't dabbled in RF since the early games that have all but faded from my memory by now. I actually might be interested in joining should you reach that point. Either way, good luck.

Thanks! Me and @Jerkchicken have been busy discussing stuff in PMs, so its not impossible something might happen sooner rather than later. And well, if you have a Nintendo Switch, hold out for RF4's new version, since they have...cutscene portrait animation. At least we've seen it for talking with Forte and another character, so its likely more characters will get it too. RF5 is also a factor.

Tbh, I haven't touched RF4 for awhile, I mostly just roleplay it, ahaha.
@DocRock

Snake? I'm sorry, all I see is Iroquois Pliskin, sole survivor of SEAL Team 10...

And yeah, I think the potential dynamic between Serene and Odysseus seems quite fun given Odysseus's past experiences, especially considering the fact that he's a Servant someone would have a hard time trusting.

Sure, all I see is David, the badass boy(unless I'm mistaking him for the dad, my knowledge of MGS is sparse, but specific in some spots, like the Boss being a woman)

And then there's the fact his master is an attractive woman who's also "a stone cold bitch" who's actually just a really emotionally damaged kid. She was raised in isolation her entire life and never allowed much. But yeah, we can discuss it further if no one else pops out to me. If someone were to make the Father of Computers...I'm sorry but I have no choice but to summon him because Serene would, and besides, I can exploit his weakness.
Oh lordie, Archer instead of Rider? That's wild.

And Snake for a FC? Niceeee.

I mean, he'd probably pair up well with the Blood Iron Princess, but at the same time...
Technopacy I was thinking, since that tends to be my thing, that or something to do with electrokinesis. Or just flat out metal manipulation. Nothing toooo crazy.

So no magneto stuff or gravity manipulation.
For the rest of us, if folks want to start pairing up, the GM said we should discuss that for those of us approved.

So if anyone wants to summon Edison, the Wizard is accessible.

Blood Iron...I dunno if I'll be having her summon just yet, but yeah, if anyone wants to pair up, drop me a line.
Sure, do you mind shooting me one? Working on a CS for a personal project atm.
Hey folks, DocRock here, I'm here with a bit of a thing that I've been thinking about.

For the past month or so, I've been considering as a down the line type game of fantasy adventure, or taking from one of my personal works to set up a sandbox tale. With the release news on the recent Nintendo Direct, I've felt more encouraged to seriously consider the former.

With that said, the reason I wanted to do this a few months down the line was due to a belief that I didn't have the readiness on the forum to make the game, and I wanted time to plan. I'm still going to do it a bit down the line, but I may push the time table up due to the breath of fresh air in my sails with the news regarding Rune Factory 4 Special Edition and Rune Factory 5's title being shown. That said, I'm just putting this feeler out, to see if anyone might be interested in helping me GM this, as while I've got the needed writings down that just need slight adaption(as I've researched Rune Factory extensively), I don't have the GM confidence yet. I'm also looking for anyone who might be a Rune Factory fan(or just likes high fantasy) who might be interested in submitting a character.

My current plans are not as crazy as the original plan was(which was up to three different threads based in free, casual, and advanced, to give all three types of skill levels different plotlines tailored to their preferences), but I'm still debating if I want to do a "slice of life" Rune Factory tale set within either the capital of Norad(main location of the games) or a random village/city, or what. Timing I'm looking at either during the war that the main games cover, or later, after the war ends. I know this may sound a bit all over the place, but I'm a tad distracted, and due to how my head is at the moment, its a bit hard to focus, but I'm trying.

Anyways, I guess there's a tl;dr now
1. Looking for folks interested in helping co-GM a Rune Factory based high fantasy game.
2. Also looking for folks interested in joining the game, don't need to know a lick of RF stuff, I'll help there
3. I'm still trying to decide the specific overarching narrative, such as where the game would be set, and what might be going on, but feedback is welcome.
4. There is no fourth thing.

Have a good one, I didn't put this in interest checks for casual since I'm doing long term planning. I hope folks like reading this, since I really do feel like I did a bad job explaining this.
A new tale by Ruler? Color me interested.

Location: Rocktech Main Complex; Rock-Tower
Interactions: None for the moment

The swift intervention of the MSU and local police had prevented a much greater tragedy from unfolding, and while information was still sparse, it pointed towards one specific terror group being behind the attack, but who was still unknown. Thankfully, it seemed that it was only the one attack at the site, as sad as the tragedy was, to have more elsewhere, well, one couldn't be blamed for a sigh of relief. Emergency services had arrived as soon as it was confirmed to be secure, and relief services had stepped in, along with disaster clean up, in the form of Rocktech providing their services to tend to the wounded, and construction crews to remove debris. But in the eyes of the CEO, it wasn't enough, and tendrils of discussion had been pushed out towards the MSU and Azure City authorities discussing the possibility of coordinating efforts in the future, with the offer of new equipment, or even the deployment of the still in development Urban Pacification Units(aka those drones I spoke of in her profile). The only thing asked for in return would be information or access to files for future research, such as data on the mutants involved in the attack, or future matters. While an outsider might find it odd, she wanted the information accessible so Drake could datamine it and hopefully detect information traffic that could spot and predict attacks before they happened, and hopefully, with enough advance notice, stop future plots. What Drake thought of Serene's plan was a mystery...

Regardless of how upcoming talks went, from the comfort of her control room overlooking the entire complex, Serene mulled, having ordered efforts on the new drones and her personal power suit to be accelerated. On the one hand, she wanted her robots ready to assist in defending, even if they weren't the strongest, to be better prepared, on the other hand...her desire to help others drove wanting to have the suit ready. And if it helped her get closer to other mutants or people, that would be good. She wanted to fit in...even if she was probably that one type of Mutant everyone was afraid of due to her powers. Oh well. Fingers tapped against the arm rest of her control room chair, her colorfulness at stark contrast to the gunmetal grayness of the room, mimicking a certain villain's own command center. She was waiting, but for what, couldn't be said. She was a genius sure, but sometimes, all you can do is...play the waiting game.

The past two days had left her a lot to think about, that was for sure. Drake was busy allocating more resources to the drone and armor programs, mostly assigning more scientists who specialized in the right fields. Sure it meant pulling them away from other projects, but the latest smartphone could wait, it wasn't like kids would need it. Same for other programs. One step at a time, towards the future. Whatever that future held...
Roger that, I have to grab a meal, but I'll get back to you soon!
