Current Its a fun feeling to just sit and think about what to do for responses. The flipside is feeling locked in place, waiting for another to go first on something.

You ever take a look at the forum board, not see anything of ready interest, and decide to just go about your day? Figured I'd see if a new game was interesting, nope, ah well.

Writer's block is a pain, but if I happen to owe anyone apost, I'll be working on them tonight, hopefully. Might go surfing, see if any games catch my attention.

Bio

I already did an earlier introduction, but this is something one could always see, so let's roll.

Serene is the pen name that I use over on my old G+ account, which if you're able to find the account before the site shuts down, is Serene Selphia, but no fancy url, lol. But to those I'm close enough to, my nickname is Chris, and if I ask you to not use it, its nothing personal, I'm just not ready for that level of friendliness. That isn't to say I'm not a friendly person, just that I can be a bit professional when it comes to stuff. I've been rping since like...2011 I think? If I could find the Minecraft rp forums I started on(yes those were a thing, it was actually full of good rpers, but all good things come to an end of course), I'd have a precise date.

I roleplay a lot of things, well, that was the old system. About four years back, I settled down in a roleplay community on G+ called Temple of Glory, and began to stick to just one character who I kept working on, using other characters as I felt the need. That was my current primary character's father, a character I'll call the Professor for now, as I intend to post a version of his character sheet later. Probably when doing so wouldn't spoil what became of him in a storyline. Anyway, after a point I burned out as him, and switched focus to his daughter, who I use primarily in the old roleplay hub I come from. The Good Doctor, and here, no spoilers, mostly because ahaha, I'm shy about that.

I love a lot of series, but my heart goes out mainly to Rune Factory, Sonic, Mega Man, Metroid, Mario, Pokemon, and Duel Monsters. Especially Rune Factory and Sonic, though lately I've fostered a love for the Nasuverse, Fate Grand Order is a fun time. I love to read a variety of things, and I'm always online unless sleeping, so feel free to drop me a line if you need it. While I'm relatively new to the site here, I'm an rp veteran, and a skilled writer, as you'll see whenever I post the Doctor's current profile.

Ah right, more on me. I'm a college senior presently, I just had my capstone for my history degree wrapped up, and I'm proud of my progress. While I am a loner by nature(I mean my writing often keeps me trapped in my room to meet paper deadlines), I'm still a sociable person, and if you can't reach me here, my Discord is Serene Selphia#1064. So I suppose that's a bit of a spoiler, but to who, I won't say. Just be forewarned, if you ask me about a character of mine, there's a risk I'll write a lot, so make sure you're totally fine with that.

In terms of roleplay, while I do mainly fantasy/science-fiction, I can roll with just about anything(as far as I know), but if I tell you its not working for me, don't take it personally. I'm a fairly detailed writer, and in terms of style, I'm good with both combat and non-combat related narratives, I mean, my current main was built for combat initially, whereas her father is more the sociable type. The most detailed things tend to when I describe the world around, or when writing profiles for characters I adore. Basically, if I'm in tune or really love something, you could get a lot. I once wrote about twenty pages on a google doc in two hours because I loved it so much. Weird flex sure, but you can understand it. I don't look for much in rp partners, so long as you can write me enough that I understand either what you're doing, or what's going on, I'm usually good. I'll generally drop a line if I need more information.

I love learning, so if you ask me about something, and I don't have an answer, I'll gladly take the time to do at least a basic amount of research. And if you're ever stumped for ideas, drop me a line, I'm always glad to help fellow veterans or the newer folk. Heck, at one point for a friend's group I wrote an entire(albeit unused) document full of random plot ideas for the group drawn from throughout film and video games. Point is, if you need someone to talk to, unless I'm in a bad mood, or its a bad time(aka I'm about to go to bed, or in class), I'm always up for at least a quick chat. I do take commissions, so if you want a fanfiction written, give me a holler, or if you just want a custom story about a character of mine, or just ask for them to give their input on something in a non-serious setting. Still debating what to set prices for, or if I work totally free...I mean I should charge something, but anyways, wew, talk about a ramble, eh?

Anyways, that's about it. I'll probably rewrite this as needed.
Restating ways to reach me as needed!

I'll confess, while I had the "role" of innkeeper/bartender more or less decided upon, the actual face behind it hadn't yet been decided, as I was having a bit of trouble making my mind up. That said, I do hope you enjoy, as I finalized this fellow earlier. You're all more than welcome to critique me on how I did, harsh as you like. After all, we're in this together, no?

I'm here, we should probably get a Discord for plotting amid ourselves though.
@Kazemitsu@Mangrale
Both of you are fine with your current characters in my consideration, however, once @jerkchicken has time to make sure all is good, then you two may post into the character tab.

Once I've had time to finish assembling somethings, I'll begin working on the IC Zeroth, and the first post. After that, all players can begin posting. The Zeroth post will probably be ready by the end of the week, the IC Weds night, since it'll be easier to write in comparison.

For all players, I'll be posting a character sheet here for myself, though details are still being hammered out. It'll be moved to the character tab after I'm sure its ready. GMs not above the players when it comes to character making after all.

To upcoming players, a permanent Discord link will be added tonight, as I'd forgotten to add that before. You can join to plan out ideas with your fellow players, whether with your own characters or with interactions between others. I've gotta get back to some assignments, so I'll talk to you all later.
Of course.

I'm going to probably be unable to respond to anything from four am to around six pm tomorrow, and four am to eight pm weds. Classes plus some assignments I have to work on.
Piece of advice though.

You should go and do an introduction post, as that'll make it easier for you down the line I do think. Rather than just pop up and post an rp thread idea.

And I'll be honest, good luck finding players, I got lucky with my game I'm in the midst of setting up.
I'm here, and having read up, I am so down for this.

First come first serve for actions, weee
Well that's neato.

I might keep an eye on things, since I'm running a Rune Factory Roleplay myself.
Tales from Frontier Village

Frontier Village. A minor, yet important spot on the Golden Road from the Kingdom of Norad to the Sechs Republic. People from all sorts of walks of life pass through this rural village, some with purpose, some just wandering, and some...they don’t know themselves. As the final town before the border between nations, it’s not uncommon for merchants to spend the night, before beginning the final leg, to make sure they reach the border checkpoint nice and early. But it’s just as common for people to end their journey here, either running out of money and unable to go onward or were turned back and lacked the cash to go back, or had other reasons for being here. Everyone in Frontier Village has a story to tell, some less willing to tell than others. What’s your story, and what will you make of your life here?

Hello, and welcome to the official Tales from Frontier Village: A Rune Factory Roleplay’s OOC, I know some of you have been waiting in anticipation, and some have just seen this and decided to check it out. While this is yes, a fandom roleplay, as I noted on the Interest Check, you do not need to know anything about Rune Factory itself, as both this post, and some posts in the IC, will give you the basics you need to know. As this is a “self-contained” and “semi-sandbox” narrative, the players have the freedom to make any number of character types, without fear of having to worry about anything too serious. It is my intentions for this to be an ongoing narrative, with multiple plot threads, some run by me and my co-GM @Jerkchicken , others managed by you. There will be random “events” and occasional festivals.

As this is meant to be semi-sandbox, there’s no chosen one, no super hero destined for greatness. Keep that in mind when making your character. Unless you make a character who has been living in the town for awhile, you will be starting from ground zero. Sure, you may be an Earthmate, or famous elsewhere, but you’re going to have to prove yourself to the locals that they can trust you, and that you can be a valuable part of the community. Additionally, while we would advise you make denizens or new arrivals to the town, you can make travelers who are passing through, as there is a narrative I’ll be preparing that will effect the ease of travel between nations. So with that said, let me go over a few more things, before you can start submitting your character sheets.

That all aside, I’m going to just repost the lore I included before on the Interest Check, along with races. The lists will be updated and changed regarding races as time goes on. If anything, I may devote a post or two in the IC to more detailed culture stuff. If players really want that. Though the following link should suffice.

And now, the Character Sheet. If you have any questions about this, please do ask.

If this was a lot to take in, whoops. Again, whether you’re a long time fan, new, or just looking for a fun fantasy slice of life where anything and everything could happen, this is for you. As this is casual, I’m only going to ask for a paragraph or two, but what I will ask for is that it be enough for another rper to work off if they’re interacting with you. No one liners. First posts(character intros), can be as long as you feel is needed, if you want to interact with someone at the end of said intro, just make it clear. Hope this is compelling enough to those who read, and I look forward to seeing your sheets!
Blood Iron Princess

That had gone far better than expected. Not only had she summoned the great genius Leonardo Da Vinci, but they wanted to support her in her goals. Honestly, it filled her with a great deal of excitement. She nodded to herself in clear relief. That Da Vinci agreed it was better to go out now and worry about the workshop later did surprise Serene a tad, but she also accepted that due to well, no grail war. Even as Da Vinci placed her hand on Serene's shoulder, Serene was fist pumping the air just a tad, at her decision being made.

"Let's go then! Perhaps we'll even get to meet a future ally, yes?" As cheerful as she was at the moment, there was the undercurrent of control. She had to keep herself reserved when in the outside world. And so without further ado, Serene walked away from Da Vinci, but knowing Caster would follow, as she made her way through the house, past the grand central staircase of the manor, and to the front door. She quickly unlocked it with her personal key, and stepped outside, into the open air. She took in a breath, then let it out. "Onwards and upwards. To the corner store, right Caster?"
Josephine Lifebringer

Class came and went. Faster than Josephine had expected. That's what happens when its a class you enjoy, blink and its over. She didn't have anything to do right after her class, nor would there be any classes in the room for a bit, so she could remain there. Sketching. Josephine's fingers moved back and forth, holding her pencil carefully, as she made a careful sketch of a phoenix. She was almost finished when the intercom came on. The sudden noise broke her concentration, making her pencil jerk. A jagged line now where the Phoneix's head would have been, a hole torn into the paper. And the page below. She groaned in annoyance, only catching the tail end of everything. With a heavy sigh, she put her writing piece away, and shut her binder. Might as well go get something to eat.

Eventually, she entered the cafeteria, paying no one any heed, and took a seat at one of the tables, by herself, gazing across the space, towards the nearest display for the lunch time supply, debating about what she wanted to get. Tough decision, all things considered. Josephine was...rather picky when it came to eating, if she was honest. She'd think of something, probably. Perhaps just grab some pizza, and be done with it.
