That was an odd event for sure, in the end the Instructor didn’t have the chance to tell what a Chaser was because of the devil girl, then the devil girl started to talk substituting the instructor. However what really got Gyuuki curious was something far simpler “Hottie?” She thought, oblivious to what this mysterious third gender was “I wonder what those are, maybe a form of Youkai?”
Either way, what was clear was that something was wrong and even the clueless ox-demon could notice that. It also looked like they were going to have to sleep there until some sort of test, good thing she had brought some food and that she was used to sleep on the ground.
Most of the crowd however was not as conformed with this as Gyuuki, who noticed that thanks to her height which gave her a far view into the crowd, where a group of boys and a girl started to yell at each other. She didn’t understand that behavior, it all looked like a big waste of energy, and most of them didn’t even have bread and candy to replenish it later.
"We might need our energy for that exam we were told about. We're all here for the same thing, right? No reason to not all be friends."
“Oh?” Gyuuki thought, her ears wiggling with excitement, after all, it was rare to see a human have an opinion similar to hers…
“Oh…” Gyuuki sighed, as she noticed it was not a human but an Youkai just like her. It was still nice, but she had thought that for once she would meet some humans to talk with.
Actually, there were people just by her side, both humans even. “Okay, I just have to be social, this will go alright” she thought
She took her bag into her hand and looked to her side, cold sweat crossing her face r “Uh I have... Oh?” apparently the girl by her side had decided to sleep, just like that, out of nowhere. Maybe it was a human thing, though she didn’t remember anyone who did that back in the village.
There was still the second girl though, the one who had a red hood, a mechanical. The youkai shook her bag a bit, trying to be as casual and smooth as an almost 2 meters tall ox-demon could be “If you need… I have spare food and water!”
Creating holy sites on one's personal plane is certainly a wise choice as the sites are safer but I think I will create one on Galbar for the mortals to pay their respects.
I'm not even creating the site for the MP, it is going to serve a very practical purpose too.
@Kho I don't remember the name, but it was meant to look ancient and kinda primitive too.
@Mardox I know right? Ilunabar needs to up her act
On a side note, she will even be the first goddess to try to create a holy site on her own plane and take a shot for you all. I just felt like posting all that stuff and then moving on to create the plane was a bit too much for only one post.
May I ask which language Reathos has and which 'symbol' he has on the wheel?
Reathos is the drawings near the "empty" Julkolfyr cell.
It is actually a bunch of cave drawings, because I wanted to give it a primal feel due to death being a primal fear.
@Double Capybara Am I the Norse Runes due to Vakarlon being a bit like Loki?
Nope, the runes are Teknall. I gave you the odd Japanese-like language because whenever I think about shadows and stuff I think of cyberpunk tokyo. The font was also called Dark Language so there is that. You share the language with the prince of deceit though (He is the white one, you are the light red one)
The well is obviously the name of all the gods in different "languages" I always used "each god uses a different code" as a point in most of my settings and since on this one was literally written into existence it was extra fitting. For example, Ilunabar's divine language is written in a bit of the text and on her name too. (Side note: The code in question is called Hymmnos and is used for song magic in the game Ar Tonelico, this has literally nothing to do with Ilunabar)
I won't lie, most of the languages were picked on "the fell" that the god gave me, like Sumerian cuneiform for The Adversary or Greek for Logos.
Then I circled trough some cool geometric patterns until I found something that gave me a "fate" feel. I literally know nothing but the looks of the other god so I just picked a cool shape :/
I can't talk about the flower language right now. But they are linked to a couple of gods.
The red stuff is a fractal. I don't even need to say who it is about right?
Ilunabar heard her sister’s words and smiled, it was good to see someone who had the same foresight as her. She started to form a response, however something else called her immediate attention.
At first it was the bizarre event involving Ull’Yang, however the muse realized that such phenomenon was merely a small happening of something way larger. The Codex, the script of the creation, was now in Fate’s hands.
Something about this annoyed Ilunabar. At first she thought it was about the mysteries of the higher deity and the fundamental question about the why of the creation of deities. Soon however, as she was dragged closer and closer to the book, she realized it was something much simpler…
The dissonance between the styles of two storytellers. One saw a disunited document, the other saw a perfectly harmonious narrative among the clashing forces.
By the time of the realization Ilunabar, and most her simblings, were already in the vortex created by Fate and the book. Once again she felt her being melt as all of her senses were flooded by something far beyond her comprehension. The prudent decision was to shut down and wait for the universe to take shape...
But she couldn’t look away! Fate was the ultimate composer of all possible chronicles, but Ilunabar too had a history to write! It was merely a transcription of someone else’s work, in the great play of destiny she was merely an actress, perhaps even less, nothing but a stage prop, but even then… even then…
Despite the blindness caused by the eruption of all things, the muse started to write. It was a simple record of what was taking place, a derivative history of the story Fate had set.
Then it all started to cool down.
A brown blur was in front of her, and she could hear her siblings talking, but no word could be discerned thanks to an incessant hum. Now the Muse could finally close her eyes and rest.
Things started to get better bit by bit, she didn’t know how much time she stood there waiting, but when the noise finally went away and she opened her eyes the world in front of her had changed a lot. There was blue, green, white and a chaotic mix of grey spreading across it.
She heard Logos going on about his many things. Something about him had struck Ilunabar on the wrong way from the start, he was such a basic existence, all of his being was the molding clay of other gods, yet he barked so loud. Back in the Before-Creation this annoyed her, she saw it as outrageous arrogance, but now that she was more calm the anger was exchanged for pity, his pretensions looked more logical.
“If my harp or Teknall’s stone could speak they too would allegate that what they created was theirs”
Speaking of creation…
“Come, Dreamweaver” she commanded, and the harp formed on her hand. She was about to start her work when a sudden glimpse of glitter caught her eyes.
She flew into the planet and soon arrived at something quite amazing “Ah?” she said as she gazed upon the Celestial Citadel. “I have to say Teknall, I underestimated you. I thought you would be limited to the brute creations but now I can see that you are a master of the refined arts too”
Ilunabar sees some stuff and is like "wow" It was so wow it took her some time to comprehend it all When she was better she said "Now its time to do my job" But then she went to the citadel instead of doing her job. Get it together Ilunabar!
