I'm a little sick and have a test tomorrow so writing is going slower than I would have liked, either way whilst you wait here's the sign up so you can preemptively write in your CI Dominators, done in the style of a police report.

So I looked up the game and it seems the Cyrus incident took place in 1979. I see this rp taking place four or five years after that so either 1983 or 84

@DragI AM 110% DOWN! The Warriors is one of my favorite film/game combos, and I've wanted to do a roleplay around it for forever now. My schedule's kinda hectic right now, but I will work this in however I can.

Also yes my bad, all PC's are members of The Dominators, the main PC's anyway, I am open to some potentially having second characters as lieutenants or whatnot for rival gangs central to the story.

@Drag Oh, and are the Dominators still racially segregated? I assume all the PCs are in that gang.

Nah, I more look at the events in the book as non canon to this version anyway. Even then if something specific happens in the book that isn't related to the events in the film or the game then it can be looked at as some story from the past that's tossed around amongst gangs. The Dominators of this era are more of a shoutout than anything else so there's no racial segregation and they're nowhere near as brutal as The Dominators in the book, mostly targeting other gangs, stores, more practical chaos than anything.

Well we have it where most of the gangs in the film have either dissolved or diminished in power since the films events for a variety of reasons. For example the Gramercy Riffs lost much of their power after Cyrus' death and The Warriors innocence due to most gangs targeting them in their weakened state. Some gangs like The Furies have generally stayed out of conflict so their power is much the same. Primarily though it'd be newer gangs but I'll detail any shifts in power from the film in the OOC lore section

"Hello there Boppers..."

For those of you who have seen the movie The Warriors or played the game (even the book though it wouldn't be as closely related) you may be pickin' up what this rp is puttin' down. If you don't then do not fret cause I'm about to explain it.

The Warriors setting is basically New York City beset upon by numerous street gangs operating in different parts of NY (Harlem, Washington Heights, Coney Island etc.) The Warriors is extremely stylized in it's depiction of these gangs however, so whilst they do criminal acts like mugging, pillaging, theft, violence etc. They generally have gimmicks such as the Baseball Furies for example, giving everything a unique sort of look and feel.

Knowledge of the source material isn't strictly required and anything you should or need to know for the rp will be detailed in the OOC page to get you quickly up to speed.

The story takes place years after the films events. The Warriors dissolved as did numerous other gangs leaving an open vacuum for new gangs to emerge or ones lower on the pecking order to rise up. You are a member of The Coney Island Dominators, a gang formed months after The Warriors went their separate ways. Comprised mainly of street toughs from Coney your group is struggling to get off the ground and establish themselves in NY and being the target of a rival group in Coney known as The Rogues makes things that much more difficult...

Much more will be explained in the RP itself and we hope to make this into a TV Show type of format in terms of overarching storylines and seasons already planned.

Well I've been quite busy not practicing for a gig I have tomorrow. I literally just woke up from a nap I didn't know I was taking if that's any indication as to where I'm at.

Cain continued pushing his way through the crowd of people however they began readily moving out of his way, some even fleeing in the opposite direction, for a moment Cain wondered about this but then the ground shook below him as he received his answer. The giant golem was approaching with unknown intent, Cain very quickly recognized it as being the companion to the strange merchant women, chiefly because he hadn't seen many other golems around recently.

With the crowd now separating Cain was standing unopposed as the golem continued charging towards his position, Cain briefly considered running now and eluding the lumbering creature but some of his clients may be looking on and that sets a rather poor impression. The golem was too close now to fire any sort of arrow at it that'd do some real harm so instead Cain opted to outmaneuver the beast and get into a much more advantageous position.

In a move that seemed to surprise onlookers and see the hooded man as having quite the deathwish today, Cain began sprinting towards the golem, approaching rapidly as the two picked up more and more speed from across the market place. As he drew close Cain unexpectedly dropped underneath the massive golem into a sliding motion, flying by the speed of his forward propulsion under the golem's huge legs. With any luck the golems momentum would continue it forward and cause it to stumble as it got its bearings. Cain hoped anyway, today had not been overly fortuitous and Cain would prefer it not to conclude by being smacked around courtesy of a steel golem.
