@Nallore"I just told you that it wasn't what you'd think. And the only thing I can give you right now is that picture. Sorry that I don't have more information available. I think she lives in the city, but I can't back that up with proof." Leonard took a look at his phone and grimaced. "I have to go anyways, so I'll shoot you a text with the pic. If you can't find her, that's too bad, but not the end of the world. I'll see you later, man." Anthony's friend stood up from the table and brushed off his clothes before he left the cafe, sparing a wave for Anthony before he left. True to his word, not 5 minutes later, Anthony's phone buzzed with a new multimedia message.

@Lady Amalthea"Oh dear, did I miscount? I suppose I'll just put it toward the final payment. It would be a hassle to go all the way back for cash I would have to pay you anyways." And like that, the call abruptly cut off with nary a farewell. Well at least that freed up a bit more time for Sunie to do anything else. Like clean up the shop. Or call Lola to bitch at her until she cleans up her mess.
"Thanks, Sig." Roger called over the comms. With that sniper gone, the only thing left that presented a clear barrier to being able to assume flanking positions were the soldiers fast approaching. So much for trying to weave in and out of firing range. Well if that was the case, he'd just have to work around it. He turned Yeager towards the closest squad of soliders and opened fire with his machinegun. Best case scenario: they would all be taken out, worst case: every other soldier squad in range would focus on him.

Although it was nice not having to deal with mini-Mists and their buddy, the weird-ass laser vomiting crystals of Cruxi Bullshit, Roger recognized there was more than a small amount of risk in his position as well. He had less back-up available than those center stage, and would to be more easily overwhelmed and outnumbered if he didn't stay on guard.

On top of that, he wasn't sure how much longer things would go as well as they had been so far. On the surface level, things were going just fine with no casualties on their side, but Legion seemed like it was ready to burst any second now, and Roger couldn't help but shake the feeling that the Cruxi had something up their sleeve.

For the time being, Roger would pull Yeager back and into position to charge directly behind enemy lines once the current obstacles were gone. Once the chance presented itself, he'd have to act quickly or it'd completely vanish.

I've been on a family trip, but once I get back home, I'll get to posting

Mali set down her silverware and grabbed ahold of the half-full mason jar Zoie had handed her just minutes ago. She took a large sip and took a moment to savor the sensation of cold water cooling down her overheated body. Breathe in, breathe out. Her heartbeat slowed down and the agitated energy in her muscles calmed. She felt her eyes close, and when they opened anew, everything felt a bit less muddled. Mali sighed. Hopefully, she would be able to properly express herself.

"If I really wanted to just continue trying to keep my head down and hope for the best, I wouldn't be here in the first place. The way I see it, nothing ever changes unless you go out to do it yourself, and just trying to avoid conflict is how you end up being a victim of circumstance. It seems like you're trying to do me a favor by withholding information, and I suppose I can appreciate that, but I'm going to get to the bottom of this one way or the other." Mali turned her gaze towards Relic.

"And you, we're going to have to talk later." Abruptly, Mali stood up out from the table. "Now if you'll excuse me, where's the bathroom?"

"Frankly, yer making it sound like yer friend is a batshit loonie, lass. I've found it's best tae avoid those types if'n ye like remaining free of stab wounds." Nor's expression was gruff and immutable, but not at all out of the ordinary to anyone with any experience dealing with Dwarfs. However, his tone of voice indicated that at the very least, he wasn't annoyed by the conversation that was taking place. However, his eyes widened when Keystone arrived with several platefuls of goodies in tow, apparently free for the taking by anyone at the table. His eyes darted to the steak, and then to Keystone, then back to the steak, and then the eggs before returning to Keystone.

"Just who're you and how did ye manage tae get ahold of so much steak in a bilgewater cesspit like this?" His voice consisted mostly of suspicion, with a slight dash of acclaim mixed in. His eyes were narrowed at the pugilist, but his hands grabbed a knife and took one of the heftiest steaks for himself without the dwarf ever breaking eye contact.

@Nallore Leonard nearly jumped out of his chair when Anthony spoke up. He blinked a couple of times as if remembering where he was in the first place.

"Oh, um. Nothing," he answered sheepishly, as his face color ratcheted a few notches toward the warm section of the color wheel. He looked back at his phone and just swiped a few more times before he set the phone on the table to reveal a picture of him drinking with a woman at what appeared to be an office Christmas party, based on the hats they were wearing and the decorations in the background. The woman had short brown hair, cloudy blue eyes and a distinct scar that split her lower lip.

"It's not what you think." Leonard said immediately after he presented the picture to Anthony. His face was still a bit red, but that seemed to be that his body had yet to catch up with his current emotional state. "This is actually important. I don't know her name, but I need you to find her and try to dig up as much on her as you can. If you need me to, I can shoot you the picture as well as anything else I know that might help."

@Lady AmaltheaIt took about half a minute of waiting through phone rings for Florina to pick up the phone. Based on the ambient sounds Sunie could pick up on her end, it seemed as though Flo was around some heavy-duty machinery at the moment, or perhaps just by an obnoxiously loud truck/hoverbike/sportscar. Flo's voice cut through the noise of the machinery about as well as a piece of dental floss cut through a wheel of cheese.

"Hello, dear. You haven't called to tell me that you're having second thoughts about my special job, have you Ms. Marks?"
I had a dream last night about attacking the crystal... It had three green turtle shells circling it... I probably need to play more mario cart...

Or less Mario Kart.

"Obvious Facts for $100, Alex. No shit I'd rather not be involved with any of this, but trying to keep to myself didn't work and if I'm marked for death, I would rather not get blindsided by it like some opossum that stumbled onto a road." There was a lot more Mali wanted to say, but she held her tongue. Now was not the time or place to vent frustrations at people she didn't really know.

"Is there anything else you're not telling me, by the way," she asked Relic. "Are you actually from the future and you've just been trying to blend in with the 21st Century crowd?" It was a joke, but there was more than a slight tinge of irritation in her voice. Mali popped another fried tomato slice into her mouth and chewed thoroughly, working out her pent up aggression on the food in her mouth rather than directing it at anyone at the table, as tempting a prospect as that was at the moment. Life would have been so much easier had she just not moved to Justice.

<<But why? We're supposed to be working together, aren't we?>> Cyne couldn't think of any good reason to avoid sharing information on a topic like this. Everyone she had met so far seemed to be at the very least, greatly opposed to the idea of undead running amok. Unless whatever information she had was something way out of the bounds of the kind of happenings that would surround a case of necromancy, it seemed petty at best, dangerously paranoid at worse.

<<As for catching anybody who shows up, why not set up a trap? Less work than sitting in a graveyard all night.>>

"Fair enough, lass. Some things're more important than how nice ye look at any given time." So that was two potential sales he'd gotten within the space of a couple hours in this town, which was 2 more than he'd been expecting to get. Not a bad job if he did say so, himself. Of course that was assuming either of the people would actually follow through instead of changing their minds later, as wishy-washy humans were want to do.

"Ye sure she'd have a hard time staying still? From what I seen, women get taught tae stay stone still in a hairdresser's chair when they're still a wee lass, else they get a good singing from the curling iron. Maybe that's just me hometown."
