@Lady Amalthea "I'm glad to hear that. You're definitely saving me quite a few headaches." Flo reached around to grab the small handbag she had slung over a shoulder and from its depths pulled out a thick roll of physical bills held together with a bright pink rubber band. From the roll she counted off several slips, her expression held stiffly in the throes of basic arithmetic. After about a minute's time she placed a rather significant stack of cash on top of the counter.

"I believe this covers the entirety of the up-front asking cost. Now if you'll excuse me, I must be going. You know where to call me if you need me." Florina gave Sunie a small wave before she left the shop, the jingle of the door and stack of cash the only indicators she had even been there in the first place. Flo's number had been in the system for years and she was pretty good about answering any messages left, 24 hours generally being the latest the shop would receive a return call from her. And on the matter of the cash on the counter, upon counting herself, Sunie would find that Flo had grossly miscalculated and paid nearly three-quarters of the adjusted asking price. Whoops.

@Nallore"Alright, I need you to look into somebody for me. I think I have a picture saved on my phone." Leonard looked to have gained a couple years of youth back (or rather he avoided losing a few more years to stress) with Anthony's acceptance of his offer. He took his phone out of his pocket and began pressing some buttons. Suddenly his eyes widened and his fingers pressed on the phone very quickly. He looked around to see if anybody was looking his way and made a few more presses before both his hands and face calmed down to a more normal pace/expression.

Several minutes passed with seemingly no progress made on finding whatever picture(s) was supposedly on the mobile device. At that point, Leonard was slowly scrolling through whatever it was he was viewing on his phone in stark contrast to his initial hurried actions. Occasionally he chuckled at something Anthony couldn't see.

Mali was taking her time with discovering each of the foods she wasn't familiar with. It was all so quaint. Frying tomatoes? Never would have crossed her mind, but turned out pretty tasty. Not something she'd have a strong desire for later, but if she had a chance to have them later, she wouldn't necessarily turn them down. The fried ball things turned out to just be more cornbread, which was both disappointing and came off as bafflingly redundant given the fact that normal cornbread was there as well. The greens turned out to be her favorite of the bunch. They were a hell of a lot better than the spinach she oftentimes cooked for herself, but something told her that it was likely that either there was a lot of things here that weren't healthy, or the comparative superiority of these greens was just her lack of proficiency in cooking at work.

But then Mali's meal was interrupted by the conversation's turn from simple bickering to the real matter at hand. Relic didn't seem all that up to the task of explaining why they were even here, so that task fell to her. Mali finished her current mouthful of chicken and sighed before chiming in.

[color=D5FF00]"I'm not sure you know how much you know, but judging by that reaction, I'll hazard that it's more than me. I'll just start from the beginning to make explaining as simple as possible. I first met your brother about a week or so getting beat up by some punks, and saved him from that mess. Since then he's let me in on a lot more info than I warrant for whatever reason. We've been poking into this whole conspiracy today, and I suggested that we look into the murder of Danica Graves rather than try to dig up stuff that my have already been found for us. That's when he suggested talking to you. Since then we took a trip to the asylum to talk to a certain doctor, and the patient she was interviewing at the time said that Valentine was coming for her. Now we're here. I'm not sure what he expects you to do, but here we are anyway.""
@Lady Amalthea Is the continued use of the eyeball scooping gif really necessary?
I have quite literally nothing for Thomas.
Save for perhaps another filler post to fill up meditation time as he prepares his spells.

Maybe I should do a poem or something.
Anyone have any requests/suggestions on themes?

@FantasyChic Unfortunately, you have passed your deadline to post and have been removed from the RP.

Mali looked at the glass offered to her. For most people it would probably seem like far too much for any one person to handle, but given the amount of water she normally consumed on a daily basis, the heat of the day and the lack of hydration she'd been afforded so far, it was a tall glass of sweet relief.

"Thank you so much." She took the jar and drained a quarter of it immediately, not really caring what either of the siblings would think about it. She set down the jar and took a seat at the table, surveying the food before her: fried chicken, a mass of green stuff, some fried red things, cornbread and fried ball things. That's a solid 2/5. 40%. Good thing she wasn't being tested on what any of these were. Might as well just take a bit of everything and see how it all plays out. Talking about Danica could wait until after dinner.

"Either of you mind if I take a leg?" It was the best part of the bird, but there were only two (OOC: I'm assuming Zoie didn't fry up two whole chickens here) and there were three people here. Best be careful so as not to accidentally initiate a big squabble over a piece of chicken.
Lemme' Tell you something, folks! If you didn't already know, mortgages take a lot of paperwork... and a lot of money!!!

In other news, I am a little teapot, short at stout...

My best case scenario would be to save enough money to buy a house without having to deal with mortgages or other such annoyances.
Cyne & Nor

Location: Salarn & Crossed Swords Tavern
Interacting with:Sana, Ntaj & Sana

Cyne had remained a background element since Sana was treated at the temple. For the time being she didn't feel like she had a lot to contribute to any of the conversations. She'd been traveling with these people for the better part of a week now, but it felt as if everyone outside of a pre-established clique was kept at arm's length from one another. She supposed that she was contributing to that atmosphere by doing a lot of watching and waiting, and not a lot of doing, but that's how things were.

"I do need a couple of things, but I can go on my own time. No need to drag everyone else along with me," she replied to Sana's suggestion to go with Satilla & the others to restock. In her periphery, she spotted Ntaj leave the tavern looking more than a little off put. "As for joining you inside, perhaps in a moment or two, there's something I need to see to." With that said, she walked off behind Ntaj, catching up to him relatively quickly. She was a fast walker, and he seemed preoccupied with his thoughts.

<<What's bothering you, Ntaj?>>

"Yer that lass that big oaf was carrying around like a sack of cement? Surprised tae see you up and well in the state you were in. A am nae with yer group, but I did meet with a couple. Filled me in on the gist of the situation with this town. Just rolled into town meself. Nor, son of Gnor at yer service. Speaking of service ye look pretty awful, bluntly speaking. No offense by that by the way, wouldn't expect a lass coming off a week long flu tae look right and pretty. If'n yer interested, I could give ye a well grooming. Me's a barber by trade, but I can work a lassie's hair almost as well as I can a lad's. Bet ye clean up tae a real bonnie."

Any irritability that could be read on his face disappeared once Sana sat at the table. Had to look chipper and friendly while making a sales pitch. While it was true that he was going to do his best to wring this woman out of her cash, almost nothing he said was false. She did look like somebody who had let their personal grooming fall to the wayside after an extended bout of illness, which was a perfectly reasonable thing to do. And she did look like she could be really pretty with a bit of work here and there. If you were into human broads. As for being able to work with women's hair, it was probably true. He wouldn't be able to do anything particularly fancy, but the fundamentals of hair care were constant across races, he doubted the nature of hair would change dramatically across genders.
Working on the post. I am going to go ahead and say... I AM REALLY DAMN SORRY FOR THE GIF THAT IS BEING POSTED WITH IT!!!!

"I wonder what it's going to be? Just some really lame joke or something?"

Oh.

huh.
@The Grey Dust At first I thought that was going to be a limerick based on the formatting and I was going to compliment you for your dedication
