The Serpent’s Lair 12:35

Andria walked up to the inn’s back door when it flung open. Eric, his mop of brown hair flying all over the place, jumped out. His face was flushed, his hands covered in soapy suds. Coughing a little, he spoke, “Andria, Mangus is here, and he’s looking for you.” The boys voice snapped Andria out of her state of shock.
“Ha! I bet you ten Js that he ordered the Devil’s Taste!” Andria laughed as she heard about the dumbass drug dealer. Walking in, she took the kitchen door down to the garage. In her hands were several rusty tools and car parts. In her pocket was the contract for one little girl. Alice, a sixteen year old girl in the slums, had fetched it for Andria.

Dropping off the muffler and berrings, Andria went up to the pub proper. A towel in her hands, Andria began to wipe off the grease that covered her hands. Thankfully, Mangus’ back was to the garage. As such, Andria took her time to grab a particularly large knife from behind the counter. Then, walking up behind Mangus silently, she brought the steel point down. Her arm wrapped around his shoulders, the knife less than a hair’s breadth from the drug dealer’s hand, Andria’s voice came out melodiously.

“Mangus, dead men refer to me as Drake, you know this.” Smiling with vicious intent, Andria left the knife in the table. Walking back up to the bar, letting her towel drop on the counter, she continued talking. “Last time I checked, Sloth likes to show up around this time.” A sinister smile played on her lips as she thought of how Sloth would rip this guy to shreds if he saw him.

Absolutely, just hurry up and make a post so that I can respond!
Hey scott,

I'm sorry but I'm going to have to drop this. Life is being a bitch right now. :(

Hey!!!

I have a request, would anyone like to play a she-cat in either Oakclan or Boulderclan that becomes a love interest of Ashclaw's. Beware!! This Love interest may or may not be killed.

[The Elvenqueen]

Hey, would it be alright if I made another brother of Ashclaw's and Cinderblaze's? He would be from Ashclaw's litter. I want him to be physically weak, but a coniving little shit, if that's alright. He hates Ashclaw and wants to take over Cinderblaze's position. However, Cinderblaze sees him as a dissappointment.

Also, I think that Cinderblaze would continuously try and get Ashclaw to rejoin Lightclan and follow her. What do you think?
@shylarah
Actually, I have a concern about Madrys. If the core is a foot in diameter, and if Madrys herself is a big metal wolf, and if one vial of ether lasts her 2-4 hours...how many vials of ether would Rodion have to pack to bring with him? *concerned* Unless perhasp she herself transforms into some sort of vehicle that runs off a more standard steam-ether engine.

------------

Right now, I was thinking that for normal functioning, her ether usage is minimal, but in a fight that ether usage skyrockets.

@Lovejoy
I really liked your post! That line about the Grace being beautiful because it's functional was really cool and I feel like Deva would be overjoyed to hear that. I do have some questions about that blue wisp of ether that can allow him to see into the Karamzina. It seems a bit... much? Like can he just send that blue wisp anywhere and see what's inside that location? How does it work, exactly? It seems like it has to do with I-XVII's vision, which is cool, but from what I got out of the post it appears like it lets him convert things he sees in the physical realm into miniature models for him to move around and examine? That part I'm fine with. The part that I'm unsure about is this x-ray vision ability and him being able to spiritually manifest himself inside his workshop within the ark and see exactly what's in it without him ever being in there before. I don't think you mentioned him having this ability, and I don't get how it's supposed to work. I might ask you to change your post a bit.

Also, as much as I like the idea that the ark was being made with his own input, that can't really be the case, since Phoenix didn't know they were going to El until recently and so him having any say into what goes into the Karamzina wouldn't be in keeping with the timeframe. I'll allow him to maybe have sent word for them to include some quick customizations to the existing worskshop that cater to his needs (maybe he let them known as soon as he found out about the existence of the Karamzina), but any further Rodion-specific additions to the Karamzina wouldn't fit, at least at the onset.

Also, about the motorcycle, can't he only have one "construct" available to him at once? If he turns the motorcycle "on" will the Madrys float out of its wolf configuration and then go into his motorcycle?

---------------

Yep, I done fucked up...I meant to PM it to you, but then I forgot...

Anyways, I didn't outline his goggles in the CS and have been working on them. There is a extreme drawback to what he is doing. He has to use his own ether in order to see inside the Karamzina and at this point can only keep it up for thirty minutes at the most. The drawback comes from having to drain himself of his own ether, which we have already established to be an extremely painful process.

I figured that since a month had passed since they were told of their trip to El, that Rodion would have been able to send a request for a workshop and foundry.

As for materializing in his rooms, he ain't doing that. He cannot, and never will be able to interact with things through his version of 'sight'. All he is doing is seeing the outline of the object and any and all ether that is within it.

Lastly, the tiny core he just pulled out is merely a 'key'. It is not the bike's heart. He would physically have to remove Madrys' core and put it into the bike in order for it to run.
Drake scanned the room that Elise had brought him to. She had ran off before he even got a chance to reply to her earlier statements. His voice came out smoothly as he heard the sounds of corpses crushing corpses. “Well, if what you mean by me not playing well with others is that I typically try to avoid other people as nine times out of ten they happen to be idiots, then yes, I don’t play well with others.” Flashing the shorter woman a white-toothed smile, Drake stepped through the balcony doors. The sounds from the original horde had already attracted a few more, their bodies stumbling underneath streetlights in the distance. Drake covered his nose as their rank stench drifted up to the fourth story balcony.

“While I thank you for the offer of sleep, I have three problems with that.” Looking back at Elise, Drake’s electric blue eyes peered out from unruly black hair. “First, I don’t know you from Adam. As such, I do not trust you at all.” Taking a second look at the undead horde, he continued, “Secondly, we don’t have the time to sleep.” Walking back inside, Drake quickly found an empty notebook. Opening it up and placing it on the kitchen counter, Drake beckoned Elise over. The man began to sketch out the building’s layout as he spoke.

“Your sister must have been rather well-to-do. The building has a three-story closed garage round back.” Smiling to himself, Drake continued to talk, “As for why we don’t have time, those shutters were not designed to hold back fifty undead bodies. They were designed to deter crime. As such, we have, at best, five hours before those shutters give in.” Finishing his sketching, what resulted was a rough outline of the building’s first floor. “There are three emergency staircases. One in the back, and one on either side of the lobby. We’re going to have to lock them up. However, if you’re alright with it, we should try to loot as much as possible from the first floor before doing so.” Standing up straight, the man looked down at Elise, “Our best bet would be to lock down the two connected to the lobby. Loot the first floor, storing it all in the staircase at the back of the building, and then lock down that staircase as well. Lastly, we would need to do this within three hours.”

Drake’s completely serious tone reverberated throughout the room as he stood there, giving Elise time to swallow and digest what he had said.
@Traps

will do!

Hey, I posted to you and am calling with the comms
Name: Anthony 'Tony' Drauger, known as the 'Steel Drake' by some.

Species: Human

Age: 150

Sex: Male

Appearance:

Sorry about the anime, but it was the best one I could find for my character.

Tony is 6'4" and is usually wearing a close-fitting black t-shirt with blue jeans and black combat boots. He almost always has a medium sized black duffelbag with him at all times.

History: Tony, the Steel Drake, is a former criminal. Well, he was until he stopped being a citizen of the collective, which was roughly a hundred years ago. Since then, he has had the neurotech removed from his head, and Tony has gotten cybernetic eyes and a new arm. He now works as something of a mercenary or gun-for-hire. However, Tony often does shipping jobs for the Tyche Concord.

Personality: Tony has a guarded personality. He does not open up to others very easily and would rather spend his years tinkering away at his machines. His overly logical mind makes him nigh-on the perfect criminal while also destroying any attempts to understand him on an emotional level, which has led to a string of broken hearts.

Allegiance: Tyche Concord?

Ship Appearance:

Other:
Tony may or may not have stolen the Serpent from certain destruction. Roughly 100 years ago was when the man had found the ship about to be thrown into the melting pot, which was when he saved it and consequently stopped being a citizen of the collective. SInce then he has worked to upgrade the ship's capabilities with any chance he gets.
