I'm sorry but I have to drop out of this roleplay because of personal issues.
Good luck to you all and have fun with the story!
There isn't much I can add to what you've already written to us about this roleplay. I think you are right to say that sheer inactivity has caused this roleplay to end before it really got started. It's something that happens a lot unfortunately and many roleplays don't make it through the summer.

I've enjoyed everything about this roleplay, the characters, our interactions IC as well as OOC. When it became less active it slipped to the back of my mind and I lost the initial excitement I had in the beginning. The thing which always helped me get back into it was to read through our character sheets and the IC posts we made. They've all been great, amazing writing and storytelling skill. I do really hope we bump into each other again somewhere down the road. Even though our adventure was short lived it's one I will definately remember, it had some memorable scenes and the characters were unique and unforgettable in their own ways.

Thank you all, I've enjoyed writing with you for as long as it lasted. Best wishes and good luck with everything xoxo
I'll post tomorrow. I want to get in a longer post and what I have now I'm not really happy with.
Terribly short post but a post none the less. I'm starting to get back into the swing of things though, so that's good.

Floure Camlo

Floure had been watching the situation unfold on the sidelines with a worried look on her face. The feeling she had had earlier returned and she knew something terrible would probably happen again. The appearance of the specter was the herald of disaster. The first time the spirit had appeared none of them had been able to see her aside from Emmett. Now she was visible to them all and it looked like it tried to warn the group of impending danger.

The young Traveler watched with fear in her eyes as a group of robed and masked assassins crawled out of the shadows. They drew their sharpened blades, ready to attack. The Whispering Badlands were a dangerous place, that was what everyone had told her. Yet so far the only danger they encountered was the blazing sun and the poisonous desert scorpions and snakes. After a week of relative safety Floure had nearly forgotten the sands of the desert hid a lot more than just a bunch of venomous animals.

She had a mission to accomplish and if they had to fight for their lives she was going down fighting. She tried not to let herself be paralyzed by fear. The thought of a group of trained killers were out to attack them scared her obviously, she would be stupid not to be. Yet it also summoned within her a will to survive, to fight back. Floure attempted to pin point the location of the rest of the group with what little light they had. She noticed she was closest to Grace and immediately rushed over to the red headed woman, lifting her skirts as she ran over the black sands.

"Grace...." She swallowed back a lump in her throat, caused by her fear of the impending battle. Adrenaline was rushing through her petite frame while she retrieved the knife she kept nearly hidden underneath her skirts. It was attached to a garter she always wore around her left thigh. Floure looked at Grace, a mixture of fear and determination swirling in her pale eyes. She nodded and turned her gaze towards their attackers.
I'll have time to post in the weekend and I'll see where it takes me. Probably not anything too crazy but it would be good if I can start us off in the right direction.
I'll have time to write a post in the weekend. I've noticed the activity has simmered down a bit, that's usually normal after the roleplay has been going fast for a while. Hopefully we'll just carry on as usual.
Well I'd love to have an Oddish somewhere down the road. There aren't a whole lot of grass pokemon in the first generation but the ones that are there I all adore. I may venture into capturing a Caterpie so I can have a Butterfree later on.
I'm still here too, waiting for the story to continue.
Lily had left Viridian City very early in the morning. The sun was barely up and before it had fully risen from its hiding place she had already reached Pallet town. They were neighboring towns Viridian and Pallet town so it was entirely unnecessary to leave as early as she had. Her parents wanted to make sure she would be on time, even if that meant she had to wait around doing nothing. Lily didn't protest, she was grateful to even be allowed to go on this journey, by herself for crying out loud. No she did not want to give her parents or her brothers any reason to change their minds. She had packed everything the night before. A map of the Kanto region, her medicine pouch, a fresh set of clothes, a sleep bag, camping equipment. All the basics were covered and she was sure to take enough money to buy anything she might need. For someone who'd never done anything by herself she was surprisingly capable of mapping out her pokemon journey. She was astonished to find it all came so easily to her. The preparations eased her nerves instead of feeding them which was the usual case. Lily didn't know why nor did she understand how she could be so.....relaxed, so calm about all this.

Completely absorbed in her own thoughts the young girl didn't notice the line started to move again. The trainer behind her cleared his throat rather loudly to indicate she and her pokemon needed to move. She quickly rushed forward and offered the boy her an apologetic smile.
"Sorry, I was just.....uhm dreaming I guess"
Lily felt a bit embarrassed but before she had time to beat herself up about another trainer in front of her kneeled down to pat her Tangela. The pokemon responded by patting the young boy on his head playfully, using her vines as her arm. Tangela looked at the trainer with wide eyes but was otherwise not bothered by him.

She listened to him as she spoke. It was true what he said, she was really glad to have Tangela. Lily knew she would find it difficult to start her journey with a new pokemon, one she didn't know. It was just like meeting a new friend, you would have to get to know each other first. Find out if you actually like one another. With Tangela she could just skip all that. They had a tight bond and she adored her pokemon.

"How did you figure out how to train it? Got any tips?"

Lily thought about her answer for a bit and kept thinking as she replied.
"Well I....you see Tangela and me haven't really battled all that much." The blue vined pokemon wasn't particularly strong and at times somewhat clumsy but she always gave it one hundred percent.
"You just need to be nice to your pokemon and they'll return the favor." Lily smiled when Tangela reached up with her vine to take her right hand.

"And obviously grass pokemon need fresh water and sunshine to keep them healthy" Lily answered with a soft laugh. She tucked a lock of hair behind her ear and looked at the other trainers still in front of her and the young boy. It looked like things were moving along quickly now.
