No really, all of his powers were designed with the sole intention of theatrics, and somehow ended up being incredibly viable in combat. I have no idea how it happened considering he was supposed to be a generic swordsman.
He's a shining star, a shiniiiiiing staaaaaaaaar!
All in all, high tier fights can be loads of fun sometimes... I think the thing to do is instead of challenging the opponent OOC when they do something impossible/ridiculous, you just roll with it. Unless it's an auto of your character, there's usually a way around it.
Heck, I once fought against a city-nuking PC character with a mid-tier one who could level a few buildings at best. It actually ended up being one of the most fun fights I've ever done, because every round forced me to pull all my tricks out of the bag just to survive... so IMO when you get to the crazy-powers tier, it is actually a lot about theatrics, and just how epic things can get.

Couple questions for you!
At the widest part of the stream, where the bridge is, how wide is it?
What are the bridges made out of? What's the average radius of the trees?
The stream is about ten feet wide at its widest, which is where the bridges cross.
The bridges are basically tree trunks, cut down and laid across the stream. Tree radius should be around 0.75 feet on average (this is for the bottom of the trunk, above the roots). Bridges will have a similar radius.

why'd I get gonad
They should be considered Ranked, and I've been in touch with Skalla and Rilla about judging them... on the other hand, if a pair of opponents would rather not have a ranked match, then they're free to forgo that part!
As for Gonad... I basically picked a few seeds, then stuck them in an online tourney thingy and that was what it spat out. Someone had to fight him :P
The arena doesn't matter all that much to me either, considering the nature of everything I would say both our characters are pretty much on even footing.

- Fights will take place in separate threads, to be created when contestants are ready. Either fighter can start the thread, or I can begin them if needs be. Fight threads should contain "Black Mountain Tournament" or something similar in the title.
- All arenas listed in the opening post of the OOC are available. Fighters may agree on an arena between them, or I can randomly assign them one to each battle.
- All fight threads must be started within a week.
- February 10th is the end of round 1. Any fights not finished by then will be judged as is.
I'll do my best to answer any other questions you have! Hope you all have fun, and write some tense and epic fights :)

The first of the brave few looked upon the paths, some already beginning the climb. Whether driven by deep desires, or simply a thirst for battle, they all had the strength and the tenacity within them to begin the long and arduous ascent.
For hours, they would take their roads alone. Over sharp crags, through dense woods, past fearsome volcanic vents that belched steam like the maws of some terrible beast. Much of nature's beauty and ferocity was on display here, plain to see- but there was little sign of life. A few stray notes of birdsong, perhaps, or the sight of a small furred creature darting away into a hole, but only rarely, and only if one were watching for such things. The animals were hiding, perhaps sensing what now crawled up past their homes. The very air, cool and still, seemed to be holding its breath in anticipation.
The paths wound and turned, bringing the climbers higher and higher, and drawing them closer and closer. Then, just as they'd be getting used to the quiet, perhaps thinking that there would be no challenge after all, the paths would veer sharply, crashing into each other like blind snakes, forcing the climbers together.
The dragon-slayer Sigurd Stoneheart would be greeted by the fearsome sight of Iolanthe Adastreia,
even as the elite specialist Gigue Lagace found his path crossed with that of the swift Shen Chung Gong,
while a vile stench filled the nostrils of Guzman Galliard III, as his mighty footsteps drew closer to the smelly Gonad Yakspitter,
and deft-footed Nicoli D'Angelo's winding way guided him straight towards the hunter of monsters, Trixi Hex.
By magic or stone or iron, the ways were shut to them, and would not open for either pair. Only one could pass each barrier- and there was no doubt as to how this one might be decided. High on the slopes, the climbers would clash, the chorus of their power and their pain awakening the sleeping power deep within the Mountain.

Yeaaaaahhh... on behalf of everyone here, I'm adding a new rule:
-Anyone writing their characters urinating, defacating, or performing similarly disgusting acts 'on-screen' automatically forfeits their next match. Anyone who attempts to exploit loopholes in this rule will suffer the same penalty.
Also, it seems that Fallenreaper's character will be joining the contestants. First matchups coming soon :)

Perhaps it's an intimidation tactic? He's hoping to eliminate the other contestants by scaring them off with the smell :D
