Current Graduation has happened - I am no longer a teacher. Won't have to work 12 hour days + weekends anymore, so maybe I'll actually have enough time for hobbies.

Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

Going to list out possible player relationships for Kurt that could have occurred before IC started. Anyone mentioned, please PM me so you can tell me whether or not this is okay with you.

Kishi smiled lightly at the exclamation Zectoll made, and Lomen's calm response to his flattery. As Zectoll began to violently rip into the wolf, Lomen decided to advise Kishi on his rage.

"If we are to eat, we must do it fast. I will skin the wolf to show more meat so Kishi and Zectoll, please eat fast. The smell of blood may attract other beasts and I want to stay alive. Kishi, we have avenged your fallen comrades and now are stronger for it. I am impressed by your bravery to start the strike and I look forwards to the next hunt. Although I hope you do not learn to hate the wolves for what they have done. All they do is kill to eat, grow, and survive. Much like us at the current moment and only the strong survive it seems."

Kishi nods in acknowledged this with statement with a nod, before echoing out a lie.

"Thank you for the advice, Lomen. I will take that to heart. However, I hope we will be able to kill more wolves. Even if not for vengeance, they prove very useful."

In reality, Kishi didn't give a damn what Lomen thought about his vow for revenge. He wasn't there. He didn't see people die in front of his eyes. He had no damn clue how Kishi felt.

Kishi smiled lightly.

"Come, let us feast on our kill."

Kishi wandered over to Zectoll, who had just finished slurping down the second lung of the beast. It really amazed Kishi how hungry the young goblin must have been, having gone through nearly a day without food. Kishi quickly sliced off one of the legs of the beast, being careful to remove the meat from the pelt, as Lomen asked. As he began to consume his second meal this day, he decided to voice out his claim to the wolves.

"If I may, I would also appreciate a pelt from the other wolf. I already have a rabbit left from my previous hunt, so Zectoll may have all the meat. If either of you have any bones you will not use, please give them to me."

Despite the horrible start, Kishi's life seemed to take a turn for the better.

As the cave mouth came into view, the thought that he may have been the leader during this excursion soon crosses Kishi's mind. Despite the sense of fear and anxiety he felt when he considered the possibility of being a leader during his first hunt, this time the thought of it made him much less afraid than before. After all... nobody died this time.

The graves were in sight, and Kishi gently set down Xaal's corpse, while Lomen did the same. As he did so, Grandpa arrived to begin work on a proper burial. He began to talk to Kishi.

"Young one, you were the last one to see these two alive. Would you like to help me in commemorating their bodies?"

"I... I must decline. I knew their names, and that was it. If I gave a commemoration, it would be like spitting in their faces. I refuse to use their deaths as an excuse to get attention..."

"Thank you for worrying about me, Grandfather. You have no idea how much it means to me. And also... Please watch over their bodies. I need to be the one to bury them. If Zectoll and Lomen are done hunting, I will begin the burial. If not, I must protect them so they do not share the same fate."

Kishi slowly bows his head to Grandpa, before turning back towards his companions questioningly.

Kurt angrily marched down the street, his cheek still stinging. Earlier that day, he had attempted to court a woman who was... not appreciative of the action, to say the least. As he pondered the thought of going to work, he silently shook his head. It was far too difficult to get a vacation day today, arguably one of the busiest times for the MDU. Despite the complaining his squad mates generated, the day was no where near as pleasant as he thought it would be. While not particularly warm outside, the streets were abuzz with activity, making it feel 10 degrees warmer. Not only that, but Kurt bumped into people nearly every 20 steps. Sure, it was nice when he walked into a hot girl, but most of the people walking around were old farts. Kurt sighed. If only he was at the docks right now. That would surely clear his mind.

The commotion was expected. Today was the 35th anniversary of Mundin's founding, so of course it's a big deal. Then again, Kurt could not care less. Today sucked just as much as any other day. That was what Kurt genuinely believed, until he remembered how his squad mates complained about not being able to get any of the food that was being laid out. He quickly began to turn, and head for St. Jeanne's Plaza, glad he didn't have to cook another one of his god awful meals tonight. The fireworks that were planned didn't appeal to him nearly as much. After all, life wasn't a drama, where the the protagonist and his love interest kiss under the light of giant explosions in the sky. And fireworks were a lot less interesting when there were people who could shoot them from their hands. And even less so if you have ever had someone like that shooting at you.

Pushing these thoughts aside, Kurt made quick progress towards St. Jeanne's Plaza, most likely due to the fact that he was following the flow of people. The area was filled to the bursting point, and Kurt immediately began to search for anyone he recognized from the MDU. The only thing that would be sweeter than hitting on girls who would probably reject him, was acting smug in front of the poor saps who have to work through this crap. After several attempts, he eventually gave up on searching for people he knew, and instead searched for those he did not know. After all, standing alone would make him appear to be a friendless loser who came here alone.

And only two of those descriptors were correct.
Robert listened to the plan that Sho had laid out, his eyebrows furrowing slightly. Why the hell was he going behind enemy lines? Do they want him to die? Compared to everyone else in the room, Robert was by far the worst when it came to piloting a Knightmare frame. Just because he knew how they worked, didn't men he was good at using them. And as the plan Sho relayed to the group continued, Robert's thoughts began to drift even more so towards the risk: surely, General Sho had some back-up plan in case group one failed, right? That thought was quickly rectified when it was revealed that it was a stealth mission: something that Robert was absolutely untrained for. But there was no going back now. After all, he was french, and looked like a Britannian. That did not help him with the thought that he would be paired up with Marcia. Then again, how in the world would anyone be mentally prepared to trust someone whom they just met - And knew that they killed dozens, if not hundreds of people, and tortured a lot of them. No, Robert thought to himself. Think positively. Sure, you have a war criminal on your team, but you also got that guy Garcia; he's pretty chill.

Thankfully, Robert was not the one to voice his concerns with General Sho's plan. The one man who arrived late, Fenrir, voiced his concerns with the mission. Unfortunately, however, his concerns were waved off. Sure, the lives of the black knights were valuable, but throwing W-1 lives away with a plan like that wasn't going to solve anything. The lead of the pencil he was writing in his journal with snapped, and he slowly shut his book.

Robert sighed.

"If that is your order, than I shall obey you, General Sho. If you would be kind enough, may you tell us when you plan to begin this mission? Also, what will our disguise be? Do you have Britannian soldier uniforms?"

The gruff voice of Fenrir rung out again, in retaliation to the tampering of his Knightmare.

To this, Robert became confused. He understood the fact that a specialized Knightmare could be named, as it was one of a kind, but he couldn't wrap his head around naming something like a Sutherland. They far outclassed the Glasgow, sure, but they were still infantry units. Their is no need to name something that was likely going to be destroyed anyways. The other thing that startled Robert, was the fact that Fenrir pointed towards him when referring to people who were allowed to touch his Knightmare. This confused him only briefly, however, as he could see how someone would come to the conclusion that he was a researcher. After all, he was the only person wearing a damn lab coat.

He opened his journal, and pulled a pen from his breast pocket. As he did so, he began to trace out his own Sutherland, which he had not seen since arriving here.

The wolf seemed intimidated by the roar, as it lowered itself to the ground slightly. It still was on guard, however, and was about to resume it's attack. Thankfully, the other two goblins leaped at the chance to kill the wolf. Lomen charged forward, using the wooden shield he held as a barrier to protect him in case the runt recognized their strategy. The runt, still in shock from the sudden burst of noise, had all it's attention on Kishi, not paying any attention as Lomen's horn dug into it's soft side. A howl, and it turned towards Lomen to strike, before another goblin speared it in the other side. The beast released a loud howl, and held it until it died off as a low whimper. On the ground, 6 corpses laid. 2 of friends, 2 of prey, and 2 of enemies. Blood littered the pathway, and a thick metallic scent hung in the air like a miasma. Kishi slowly stopped himself from shaking.

Kishi began to make hhis way towards the corpses of his fallen comrades.

Isurta's body was unrecognizable, with barely any meat left on her bones, which now protruded out like sharp daggers. Her soft, feminine features were now indistinguishable from any other body, besides the fact that her blue skin was littered on the few pieces of meat that remained. Meanwhile, Xaal's fate had been discovered, as he laid on the ground a dozen feet away, appearing as if he had put up a struggle. He was in a similar shape as Isurta, but unlike her, had nothing left to distinguish his identity. If it had not been for the fact that his body type matched the skeleton, and he was last seen here, this could have been anyone's corpse. A bile threatened to escape from Kishi's lips, but he held it in. He wasn't going to vomit while others were watching. He wasn't going to show the weakness that had gotten these two killed in the first place.

Kishi slowly began to pick up Xaal, the heavier of the two corpses, and slid him onto Kishi's back. He then turned to face the two still living goblins.

"You two were excellent in that fight. I see that you didn't get that horn out of pure luck, Lomen. And Zectoll, you were able to move for less than a day and you already caught up to me. How do you think that will make me feel! Just kidding."

Kishi's eyes turned downwards, and his voice adopted a much more serious tone.

"You probably realized it by now, but I used you two to get to Isurta and Xaal. I'm sorry I risked your lives. If you could, however, I would be indebted to you if you could help me carry them back."

Kishi bowed his head in shame.

"We should probably eat one of the wolves now. We will not be able to carry all of the bodies back, so getting rid of one of them would be good."

Oh boy, Thanatos is in the house. You know what that means?

Kishi slowly gripped the spear in his hands, before slowly putting it on the other side of the trunk. Using the shaft as a grip, he silently ascended the tree and stopped at the lowest branch. The limb was thick, shown when Kishi rested his entire weight onto the branch without it so much as bending. Despite this, moving himself across a branch, no matter how thick, was difficult.

Especially when you are carrying a spear that is nearly the length of your body.

Slowly, he maneuvered his way into the middle of the branch, putting him directly above the wolf he had selected to kill. He slowed his breathing, and clutched the spear with a grip that nearly broke the shaft in two and left splinters in his palms. Not that he could feel it with the wild rush of adrenaline running through him, anyways. Kishi sat there, not moving, not breathing, waiting several seconds to guarantee that Lomen and Zectoll were prepared, before jumping down to what may have been his death.

Thankfully, it wasn't.

The tip of the horn buried itself deeply into the wolf, to the point where Kishi felt the spine pose resistance, before snapping. The fact that he dropped onto the creature with all of his weight and no warning, only cemented it's death. The wolf itself proved as a perfect landing pad, and did not even leave a bruise on Kishi's body. The wolf released a light croak before it's eyes glazed over, crimson liquid flowing from the wound Kishi had created. The same liquid that was drawn when its kind ripped apart Isurta and Xaal. Kishi tore the spear from the corpse, taking care to not destroy the pelt of the black creature.

As he did so, he heard a low, threatening growl.

Lomen and Zectoll had failed in killing the second wolf, expected considering it's speed and power. Kishi took a breath, realizing what he had to do. He wasn't going to lose more goblins to these damn beasts. Slowly, Kishi began to maneuver himself to the front of the creature, lightly jabbing the spear in the air near the wolf's eyes and snout. In order to guarantee that the monster's focus was on himself, Kishi took in a deep breath, before he released a blood curdling screech. The wolf's ears folded backwards, a reaction to the suddenness and intensity of the noise.

Hopefully, the other goblins would capitalize on the distracted wolf, and strike it while it attacked him.
