Current Graduation has happened - I am no longer a teacher. Won't have to work 12 hour days + weekends anymore, so maybe I'll actually have enough time for hobbies.

I sound like a broken record, but only 2 months left till I'm done teaching. Not sure what's next, but it feels like anything would pay more and be less stressful lol

Teacher update: I feel like a villain from a cartoon. The laughter of teenagers gives me migraines, and I no longer feel guilt when giving bad grades to kids that sleep through my lessons.

Robert, while playing with his new phone, was startled to a sitting position when the previously strict-looking man began to talk to him. The man, whom Robert was informed was named Sho, dispensed some advice that sincerely touched Robert. Ever since he had been assigned to this team, Robert has had serious doubts. There was no way in hell he was going to pass up the opportunity, but he was far from the best candidate. He had very little experience with piloting knightmares, and zero battlefield experience whatsoever. The thought that he would be selected to join an elite team... was alarming to say the least. Robert waited several seconds, thinking of an appropriate response.

"That means a lot, sir. If I may ask, who else have you selected-"

Before he could even finish his question, the door opened, revealing a woman of Asian descent, most likely Japanese. She entered the room before turning towards Sho and giving an emotionless, monotone greeting.

"General, Fuuka Shiomi has arrived as requested."

She gave a passing glance at Robert, who returned it. She was fairly short, with dark hair and grey eyes, as monotone as her voice. She carried herself with a professional atmosphere, walking heel-to-toe. She seemed far too menacing to have a conversation with, so Robert remained in silence, silently sketching the schematics from his phone into the small notebook he carried with him to pass the time. After what felt like hours, but was more likely minutes, the door opened again to reveal a women completely decked out in full uniform. Robert's heart skipped a beat.

'Lieutenant Maria Doroshenko, reporting for duty sir'.

This was the moment that Robert realized that whatever W-1 was, it wasn't just a game. Why else would they employ one of the biggest war criminals in the entire EU?! If Robert's concern showed, it dissipated quickly. After all, it is a good thing she is here, isn't it? That just meant Robert won't be on the receiving end of whatever she decided to throw Brtannias way. Besides, she has to be a good pilot if she was able to get here in the first place. As her eyes passed over Robert, he felt an incomprehensible chill run down his spine. He quickly returned to the sketching he was doing, which had devolved into creating cool drawings of mechas several minutes ago.

"Commander of W-1, Jack Blake reporting in for mission briefing sir."

Walking in now was the man who would lead the W-1 team. Jack Blake. Entering with him were two women and a man of Hispanic ethnicity, whom Robert had liked the moment he opened his mouth. Unlike the 'professionals', this 'Corporal Garcia' as ,Sho addressed him, seems alright. The two women walked to sit opposite of Robert, who immediately shut his journal, in which he had just finished drawing a giant robot with sunglasses. As he did so, however, Sho's words immediately stood out to Robert, who quickly announced his concerns as soon as Sho's overview was over.

"Not to doubt your orders, sir, but does that include me? I doubt that I am anywhere near as skilled in a knightmare as everyone else here, and I assumed I would be more of an engineer-"

Once more, the door reopened, revealing an incredibly muscular man who entered quickly entered the room.

"Corporal Fenrir Silber reporting for duty general and I apologize for tardiness sir."
Something came up, I'll post around 6:30. If someone wants to, they can skip me till then.
@vancexentan
Sorry, just refreshed the page. Personally, I'm okay with it. It's a lot better than it was before, the character fills the CQC space that the party needs, and he has an acceptable backstory and motives. The only 'issue' I see is that his Knightmare has a little too many armaments, but that's just me being nit-picky, and it's not a problem if everyone else is okay with it.

Also, I'll post IC sometime tomorrow, around noonish.
@easy modo

This guy okay? Sorry if the bio is a bit edgy, I can change it if you ask.

Kishi walked with fake confidence as he led the other two goblins down the path. The rabbit corpse was missing a leg, which was currently being eaten by the goblin. Even if he didn't have an appetite at the moment, he needed all the strength he could get. The pathway the followed was all too familiar to Kishi; his fear had made the moment retain perfect clarity in his memories. Kishi finished his small meal, storing the bone in his loincloth, next to his rock. He slowed down slightly as they approached the area, when Kishi noticed the two wolves in the distance.

The mere sight of them caused Kishi's blood to boil, his vision briefly flaring red. He had to spend several seconds to resist the urge to simply jump on them. After all, running in without a plan was suicidal. He quickly looked around, taking in his surroundings. The pathway was a large path of beaten dirt, and blood littered the round everywhere. The two rabbit corpses were lying with the goblins, having been picked to the bone. Along the sides of the pathway were numerous bushes, allowing Kishi to quickly move behind them and motion for Zectoll and Lomen to do the same.

Trees were abundant in the area, and blocked a decent amount of sunlight from reaching the ground. Kishi did not take this in as significant, however; even if the light was blocked enough to prevent sight, the wolves most likely had much more acute senses. The corpses (The sight of which caused Kishi to become slightly nauseous) were in the center of the road and the bones that showed were covered in bite marks. A plan slowly awoke in Kishi's mind, but it was risky. It could leave him severely wounded, if not dead should it be performed without proper timing. Despite this, however, he decided to silently voice his plan to the goblins.

"Here is my plan: I will climb one of the trees and, once I am in position, you two will launch an attack from the back of the wolf furthest from my tree. As you do so, I will leap down onto the other wolf, skewering him to the ground."

"If either of you can think of something that doesn't have a good chance of breaking my legs, however, please tell me."

Despite saying the last part of his plan jokingly, the fear that had permeated him earlier was gone. In it's place, a cold vengeance washed over Kishi's being.

Interested.

When do you plan to set up an OOC?
Numerous hours were spent, scouring the cave for just the appropriate stone. Kishi planned to build a similar structure for Xaal if he did not return by tomorrow, but the search compelled him to find the stone. He clutched his own stone in his hands, just as he found a stone, roughly half his height. The rock he had found weighed nearly as much as he did, and it too multiple hours to drag it back to his corner of the cavern. Just as he managed to pull it there, he quickly fell asleep, not even eating the rabbit he had caught that night.

It felt like he had just closed his eyes when Grandpa began to call all the goblins to him. Kishi rose groggily, slolwly limping his way towards the cave mouth. Standing before him, Grandpa and the other goblins were surrounding a rock with strange lettering. Despite never learning to read, Kishi knew what they meant.

Xaal had not returned last night.

The ramblings of Grandpa passed through Kishi's mind, not even registering properly. As soon as the speech was over, Kishi quickly turned and walked away. He wasn't going to stay there. Not when it was his fault that they died in the first place. If he wasn't such a coward, if he didn't run, maybe he could have saved them. Even if he couldn't, at least he wouldn't need to live with this guilt.

Kishi slowly made it back to his corner, leaning against the now useless rock. Tears threatened to erupt from his face, and he gripped his spear until his knuckles turned white. This wasn't right. He wasn't going to let them go. He was going to kill those damn monsters and, at the very least, get whatever was left of the two goblins. As he made this resolution, the weakest goblin in the cave... Walked up to him?

"Goblin Kishi, strongest of the cave. The one who has seen death with his own eyes. The one who has killed yet has not been killed. Show me what you have learned of life and death, for on this day, I ZECTOLL! will be your hunting party."

Kishi slowly began to get up, and faked a smile.

"Of course I will show you! However... I will decide where we go to hunt. After all, you have never been outside before right, Brother Zectoll? Here, this is yours now."

Kishi tossed the stone spear, the one that had never been used, towards the goblin.

Robert slowly eased himself into his hair, furrowing his brows and rubbing his temples. He slowly reached into his pocket, pulling out the small flip hone he had bought when he first arrived in Area 11. As he looked at it, he saw the time, and began to question if the others were going to show up before the official meeting time, just as he had (unfortunately) done. To keep the young man company, a stern-faced Eleven who Robert assumed to be his new boss, General Sho, sat furthest from the door, with closed eyes and folded arms. Robert slowly raised himself from the chair, and began to absentmindedly investigate the war room, pacing around it slowly. It was truly a formidable area; the walls were made of solid steel, the seats were fine leather, and the entire base... was a hollowed out mountain. This was the fact that had shocked Robert the most. Surely a feat such as that was an engineering marvel... It reminded him of the famous 'Mount Fuji'. That holy mountain was turned into a mining site, and it was all done for the most precious resource of all.

Sakuradite was the magic material which fueled... everything. Not literally, of course; only everything that mattered. The Knightmare frames, Britannia, the wars... All in the name of this miraculous resource. Sakuradite was the key he needed; it, and it alone, would be the thing that allowed him to further the Knightmare frame's technology. That brought him back to the topic at hand...

Why the hell was he chosen?

Sure, he had military training, and he was a decent researcher, but a scientist has no place in a terrorist organization... Oh well. He sure as hell wasn't going to question orders. After all, his brother was receiving a nice check every other week from Robert's work, so it was worth it. Robert leaned against one of the cool, solid walls and pulled out his flip phone. Apparently, this team consisted of the best the EU had to offer. He began to search through the small number of research notes he allowed on his phone to pass the time, waiting impatiently for the other members to arrive sometime soon.
Will post tomorrow, probably around 8-9 PM.
