Staring downward she felt her stomach turn into a knot. She did not enjoy the idea of climbing down and becoming target practice like Quill had muttered under his breath. Her blue eyebrows pushed together in thought as she tried to decide the best route to take. Though it became apparent that Peter had some form of idea and it involved jumping onto the railing.

She stared up at him in disbelief but when he offered her his hand she couldn’t help but take it and join him up on the rail. Oh this wasn’t a good idea… her attention was looking downward as he spoke about how he might day and why the hell not. That statement was enough to draw her attention up to him only to have him press his lips against hers in a swift move but tender at the same time, as if there was some form of hidden meaning behind it… or she was imagining things and he wanted to get one more feeling of affection in case they day. Could she blame him? Not really, no.

Her whole mind was in a daze for moment before she realized he said the word ‘jump’ and ‘ three’. By the time he was shouting three she was finally back to focus and she attempted to argue but he wrapped his arms around her with his helmet on and they jumped. Wrapping her arms around his torso, she pressed her face into his chest in worry as they tumbled to the ground. At the least second, she felt his boots kicked in that shot them up from the ground for a moment before it kicked off and they feel the rest of the way, the few feet wasn’t anything compared to the amount they should have impacted upon.

Nikki sat up holding her head. Looking over him she reached over, giving him a smack on the arm. “That was a very stupid stupid idea! You could have turned us into lawn ordainments!” Her voice was half shouting and half playful before she climbed to her feet. “Come on we’ve got to get going.” She said pulling him off of the ground and starting down the red carpet at a sprint, the door behind them blasted open behind them and soon Gamora was in step with Nikki. “You alright?”

“Better than you.” Gamora responded with a laugh.

“Oooohhh I doubt that.” Nikki responded with a grin, “I doubt that very much. “ The group scrambled up the loading and unloading dock and into the ship.

“Quill we’ve got to go.” Gamora shouted as if Quill wasn’t going to the cockpit. She began to pull up the loading dock as everyone was inside and Nikki followed Rocket who led the way to some mounted guns on the ship while Quill took to the cockpit. Sitting up in one of the pods she put a receiver on her head. “Gun one locked and loaded.” She announced into the microphone to have Rocket respond. “Gun two locked and loaded, let’s get out of here Quill.”
It was interesting to hear so much honesty from Robert, especially when she was scanning his face for a sign of a lie. She didn’t see any though. So she could take what he had to say at face value. Her head jerked back in surprise when he pointed out, yet again, that he was a jerk to her. It was still surprising to hear but at the same time, it was good to know he regretted it. Maybe she had been too hard on him to begin with and he really has changed his ways.

A smile moved gently across her face and instead of taking the martini glass, she reached over and placed her hand gently on his forearm with a soft smile. “You’re not the only person who feels like he’s not all bad. But theft is wrong no matter who it’s from; hopefully he’ll just get his point across of ‘the rich need to give more to the poor’ and he can retire away before you catch him. I’m not saying ‘don’t do your job’ but I will say that if happen to not come up with much, I doubt that Mister Taylor would be able to argue with you about it.” Yes, she was encouraging him to hold back on his findings and hopefully the rest of the higher end community would see the point that Robin Hood was making. Just a sprinkle of encouragement, nothing too incriminating; just a dash of an idea.

With that she leaned back into her chair letting go of his arm and picking up her martini glass, draping her free arm over the back of the chair she gave him a smile. “I’ll pick dare.”
The crowd of people began to storm heading towards the living quarters and others away. Nikki chose to follow the smaller group, knowing full well that the larger group was going after the yell of ‘I AM GROOT’ and smacking noises which sounded like bodies being slammed against a wall. Gamora must have made it to the others before the guards and told them that things were getting hairy and they had to leave.

Following the smaller group, she lost them in the hallways, then she heard the sound of a gravitational field activate and a lot of smacking bodies and tumbling to the ground. Her feet picked up speed as she took off in their direction of the noise, only stopping for a moment to grab a large ‘display’ blade off the wall. It was heavier than she was used to but that useable. Making her way down the hallway, she came up behind some guards who were heading in the same direction. The hilt of the sword raised and she smacked each of them in the head knocking them and jumping over them to continue on.

Why didn’t she just kill them? Simple, she didn’t want to disrespect Quill’s heritage. Her head was pounding thanks to the hilt from the captain but she didn’t care. She needed to get to Quill and pronto.

The bellow of pain caught her attention and she kicked open the door to the room he was in and hurried inside. The men were in a ball, struggling to get off the ground and the pull was even so strong her blue hair was getting pulled in its direction. But she looked over to see that his father was out like a light on the floor and Quill was holding his forehead. Her breathing was heavy but she was thankful to see that Peter was okay. “You look like you need a pain reliever. That makes two of us.” She said with a nod rubbing the side of her head, her head was still pounding but she didn’t care, giving him a gentle smile she spoke again. “I’m glad you’re alright.”

Before much less could be said, the sound of footsteps of a troop of guards were obviously coming down the hallway. Jumping forward, Nikki shoved the door shut and used her blade to latch the door shut. Keeping herself away from the gravitational pull and went onto the balcony. Looking over the edge, it was quite a ways down but she didn’t really see much of an option. Turning around she leaned against the railing, giving him a smile. “Can you climb? It looks like we’ll need to climb down. And Gamora’s getting everyone else, don’t worry. They’ll probably head straight outside.”
Marian couldn’t help but nod at his response about ‘annoying fathers’. Ever sense she got walked home by Robin Hood (probably the safest she had ever felt in a long time walking the streets of New York City) her father was hounding her for information. Asking her same questions over and over again, most likely attempting to get her to ‘slip up’ and tell him something he didn’t already know. He would even go as far as to reward the questions countless times to see if she would respond differently. Finally she had to yell at him, ‘Dad! It doesn’t matter how many times you ask me, it doesn’t change my story and don’t try to ask me different questions with the same meaning. I work with lawyers; they do that every day to everyone. Please don’t do that to me.’ With that, he finally dropped it… for now.

It wasn’t until he said that Edward’s father was already getting on his case about the Robin Hood situation, this made her eyebrows rose in surprise. Sure, Mister Taylor was aggressive about the situation but she didn’t realize he would be that intense about it. Though, her eyebrows dropped when she realized that it was now ‘his money’ that was the problem. Which turns it into a top priority, “Truth huh?” She repeated with a hint of surprise to her voice. “Well…” Her head tilted, her blue eyes scanning his face as she heard the bartender make her yet another drink. “Why did you take the case?” Sure she could understand that ‘money’ could be the answer and a legitimate one non-the-less but you can’t blame her for asking.
The more Flash talked, the angrier she got. He kept going on about how people had a bet about how long Peter and her will last because Peter was bound to run out of money soon enough. Either that or she was getting something better out of the deal, like higher grades or something. Her hands balled into fists as she listened to him talk. Why would he talk like this, and why would people even think of something like this?! They couldn’t just let the two be happy? They were happy and that’s all that people should really care about.

The plastic covering opened and she reached in grabbing the hot coco and turned, ready to dump it onto Flash’s head only to see Peter behind him. She felt a bit more at ease seeing Peter there but his reaction was much more then she was expecting. Her eyes widen at his actions and she watched him shove Flash away from her and the large man stumble against the lockers. Even he looked shocked at the situation but he didn’t stick around long enough to follow through with his threat. He most likely wouldn’t do it when Lexi was around.

“It wasn’t anything too crazy; I just wish people would let us be.” She said with a nod before looking back at area where Peter had pushed Flash before looking back up at him as he slid his dollar into the machine to get himself a cup of hot coco as well. “It’s nice to see you standing up for yourself Peter but just don’t go overboard with it okay?” She asked softly, her free hand rubbing gently along his bicep with a smile. “Though I do like you standing up for me; my hero.” She said softly leaning up and giving him a gentle kiss on the cheek.

“But I hope whatever happened to you last night was good. But not as good as our weekend together,” She said with a playful wink. When he got his coco, she slipped her arm into his. “Ready for History class?”
Waking up in a prison sell is never fun… especially when your head hurts so much. “Ug…” Nikki said as she sat up from where she was laying down. Her first reaction was to move her hands only to find out they were tied behind her back. “Oh my head…” She complained softly as she sat upright and looked around. The cell was in the basement of the palace, dark and cold. The only light that came in was the light through the bared windows. Lovely, another prison cell; from the possibility of getting shoved into a glass case to this, fan-freakin’-tastic.

Getting herself to her feet was difficult but it wasn’t until the guard walked in that she was fully aware of what was going on. “So, this is as close to anyone as I’m going to get for a while…”

“Until we kill you, if you’re lucky, the prince will be the one to kill you. Finishing the final Metra off.” The guard said in almost a teasing voice.

A smirk moved across the young woman’s face, “I doubt that would happen. He’s not one of you.”

“He isn’t, but his father is very set on getting him to turn to his cause.”

“And you think that his estranged father would be able to convince him to turn on his friends. I doubt that very much.”

The guard smacked his wand against the bars, “Do not speak ill of the Emperor, his son will join us and lead us when the Emperor has passed on!”

“You know nothing of him!” She snapped kicking the bars in response. “You know nothing of your Prince and who he is as a person! He knew I was a Metra and still treated me like a normal person! You shouldn’t be surprised by this. He’s a good man… maybe not great but a good man!”

“And he will be great under us!”

“And you think the other Guardians of the Galaxy will take this lightly? If you hold them as prisoners you will regret it…” A scream came from the hallway. “It seems like I know them better then you.” The door was kicked down to expose a very pissed off green woman who pinned the guard to the gate taking his key and punching him square in the face knocking him out. “I’m surprise you out of all people came to find me.”

“I knew something was wrong when I didn’t see you walking outside. I’m guessing they figured you out.”

“Yep, can you let me out? This place smells.”

Gamora chuckled and unlocked the gate before untying her hands, “I’m worried about Quill.” Nikki said quickly. “Can you get the others? I’ll go check on Quill.” With that the girls split up, finding their friendship odd but hey, it’s something!
As you can imagine, Marian was surprised to hear his question. He had been working exclusively on the Robin Hood case and it was a question probably many people would ask him over his time being at the office. She was no different with her curiosity but at the same time, something pulled at her. At first she opened her mouth to answer, than shut it in though. Her blonde brows pushing together in thought, she could really learn some valuable information from him even though Robert hadn’t been on the case for too long. “You know, as much as I feel like I should say yes…” Her blue gaze moved up to meet his eyes, “I’d rather not. A mystery about him is a good thing and the last night I need is my father getting more down my throat then he already is.” A small nod lifted and fell her head as she brought her drink to her lips. “Besides that topic might get in the way of our ‘not date’ and we hear about him enough as is.” With that she took a drink of her now empty martini glass and set it back down on the bar top. “Truth or Dare?"
The game of hide and seek was playful and intense at the same time. They both were quick and sneaky about playing the game. Using their powers only made it fun, Peter made one sound and she’d be able to find him and yet if she attempted to sneak out of the room Peter had just stepped into he’s find her thanks to his Spidey senses, no matter who smoothly she did it. It was so much fun so you can’t blame her for joying herself.

Homework on the other hand wasn’t as fun as one would like. Though having her legs draped over his lap and feeling that he was there even when she was focusing on her homework made everything feel much more relaxing and a lot less stressful. When he left, she was disappointed but she knew he had to go him, she didn’t have the fabric he needed in order to fix his clothes. So she remained at her house cleaning it and cleaning her suit and fixing it to prepare to the night.

Soon the night rolled around and she was dressed and ready to go. Meeting Peter on the rooftop she gave him a grin, her lips section lifted up so she could receive a kiss. “I’m glad that you finally got it. Now you won’t freeze and you look even more attractive which is something I didn’t think was possible but I stand corrected.” She said with a grin across her full lips as she bit down on her bottom lips softly. “Shall we? We have a lot of bad guys’ night to ruin.” With that and another kiss they were off. The night went by rather fast; stopping a few bad guys here and there but it was nothing crazy compared to what they had the night before. It was a nice change of pace.

They said their good byes at Lexi’s roof top, per Peter’s ‘I want to make sure you get home safe’ attitude which she appreciated in all of its form. He kept her alive as a friend when she was ‘normal’ and even when she became a superhero with powers, he still looked out for her! Such a caring friend!

Next morning Lexi was able to drive her bug to school thanks to the cleared road and parked in a parking spot. Her fluffy keeping her nice and warm as she walked inside with her backpack on her back. Inside she went to the nearest vending machine and put in a dollar to get herself a hot coco.

“Hey Lexi…” A voice echoed to her and her gaze turned to see Flash had found his way to her, leaning up against the machine in a causal manner. “Did you have a nice weekend?”

“Yes I did, my parents were away so I had the house to myself and…”

“So to the point.” Flash said cutting her off rather quickly, “When are you going to dump Peter?”

“Excuse me?” She asked sounding very insulted and her eyebrows pushed together in a glare.

“Don’t look at me,” Flash said holding up his hands in defense, “There’s been a bet going around at how long you’d last and to be frank, Peter’s not good enough for you.”

“Excuse me?!” She said in a much sharper tone, “I don’t know what you’re trying to play at Flash but I have no intention on dumping Peter nor do I appreciate all the negativity that’s coming from him and me dating. We’re together and we’re going to be together for a while! So you’ll just have to get over it!”

“Calm down Lexi, I’m just saying you could do better.” Flash seemed rather persistent and anger spread over Lexi’s pretty face as Flash continued to talk and she watched her hot chocolate being poured, maybe she could waste a dollar and dump it on his head. Maybe that will get her point across!
Marian continued to count, curious on whether he could do it or not. The amount of people in the bar seemed to dwindle and drop away as the night went on. Less people meant less likely to have coworkers seeing her actually getting along with Robert. But at the same time, she shouldn’t be shy about it. People change, and Robert was a shining example of that. Though, with people leaving Robin Hood could be leaving too and she’d lose her chance to talk to him. Then again… she could try to get the business card from Mister Taylor that Robin Hood had given him but, Mister Taylor didn’t need to know that.

“Oh that’s right, I have to go…” She said with a small bit of disappointment in her voice. Spinning the martini in her hands she took a sip before tilting her head, “I’ll take a truth.”
As much as she didn’t want to hear that Peter was enjoying his home; she tried not to feel angry towards him for nodding. If he liked it here than good for him but at the same time, she didn’t want him to enjoy it. She wanted him to hate it so they could leave and never come back. This place worried her, scared her even. She was in danger yet again.

When the people came to escort their rooms, they were supported by gender, Gamora and Nikki led one way while the others were led a different way. “Excuse me.” Nikki said to the leading Spartois, “I believe I left something at the ship, I need to go get it.”

“Alright, I shall led you out,” One of them said, turning in a different direction and walking towards the exit, suppurating her from Gamora. As they walked the young Spartois spoke to her. “Our Emperor won’t like that you are wearing a hat in palace. If you could please remove it until we step outside.”

“I mean no disrespect but I’d rather keep it on.”

The young lady stopped and turned around. “It is disrespectful and I refuse to move until you take it off.”

“Then I shall show myself out.” She said in response, matching the young lady’s sharp tone and went to walk past her. The young woman reached up and snatched the hat from Nikki’s head, only to have the blue hair fall down and leave her in shock. The Spartios jumped her before she had time to react and knocked her to the ground. The thud was enough to draw the attention of the nearby maid who were carrying baskets. They dropped everything and soon 5 people were holding down the Metra.

The captain of the guard arrived quickly hearing the communication between the people and knew he needed to be there. “A metra.” He said in surprise as the newly arrived guards pulled her off the ground, Nikki bleeding from the mouth and spitting at the maids who took her down.

“I have done nothing wrong. Let me go in peace!”

“Nothing wrong? You are our enemy. What do you have to say for yourself?!” The older man was harsh and cold which just ticked off Nikki even more.

Knowing that they weren’t going to let her go; she decided to have a little fun. A smirk moved across her full lips as she looked up at the captain and sip a glob of blood at his face. “I kissed your Prince, and he liked it.” With that, the captain rose up the hilt of his sword and smacked her with it, knocking her out.

One of the guards left after dropping of Nikki and went to find the Emperor over slightly and whispered to him. J’son nodded as a response before turning his attention to his son. They were still seated at the table but J’Son made no visual response to whatever he was told. Though he was now well informed what there was a living Metra and she was in their dungeon. But Peter didn’t need to know that or their history with the Metras. “Tell me son, what are your questions?”
