Upon Peter saying they should tell Matt that they were a superhero couple she gave him a look of ‘You’re kidding’ Only to see him give her that traditionally cheeky Peter Parker look and she rolled her eyes dramatically as she took a bite of the grill cheese sandwich. He was so adorable in his cheeky cheesy sort of ways. It was always an inside joke now of who they should tell or not tell. Simply because they knew they wouldn’t speak a word to anyone about it but when they were along they’d joke about it. Then again Lexi could probably walk up to Matt fully dressed and as long as she didn’t have her mouth guard over her face, he probably wouldn’t know who she was.

“It’s a start!” She repeated feeling just as excited for him as he was. He needed a break, he needed something good to happen to him and it was about time life cut Peter Parker a little bit of slack. The raven haired girl fae his hand a small squeeze as he talked about Uncle Ben; with Matt’s presence known throughout the house and specifically for why he was here, it was going to be more of a continuous topic. While Aunt May might have trouble talking about it, Peter had to be strong to make it through; and that’s why Lexi wouldn’t leave his side.

    ----

“TAG!” Blackcat said with a giggle as she flicked a whip at Spider-Man, giving him a gentle tap on the rear before running off and jumping. Really it was the simple things of a superhero power couple that made life fun. Like dropping from a ten story building and nearly landing face first before throwing yourself off into a different direction, playing ‘who can knock out the most men in less than a minute’ with a group of unsuspecting thugs or playing tag through the busy streets and high rises of downtown New York City. You know; typical couple stuff.

The laughter and games lasted for a good half an hour before something caused Blackcat to jerk in a direction. Between her new found strength of hearing and them being close to Hell’s Kitchen area (an area they typically didn’t not visit), her feet skid to a halt on a roof top near the entrance to what was typically known as ‘Hell’s Kitchen’. It wasn’t until she felt the presence of Spider-Man before she spoke, explaining her sudden stop and stillness. “I heard some form of commotion. More like… another…” She couldn’t finish her sentence. Were they not the only ones running around fighting for justice? Was there a reason that Hell’s Kitchen’s crimes never made it on the news?

Her head turned to look over at her masked vigilante, her hero, her boyfriend; “Should we check out it?”
At the wording of embarrassing things, her eyebrows rose and her caramel gaze moved to Dick; what kind of embarrassing things? That would be fun to stick around and see but, at the same time, she didn’t want to overstay her welcome and scare him off into thinking she was some form of stalker or incredibly lonely. Either way, she was willing to bow out with grace but at least they knew that had someone else aside from the people who walk around in the house to count on and that - that was important for someone who had just moved into town.

“He was fine.” She said with a laugh as she took her purse from him and slid it over her shoulder. “He just seems like a kid who’s just now starting to understand ‘adulthood’ we all were like that at that age.” A nod rose and fell her head as she stepped outside of the door and turned to face him. His comments were sweet and a kind, happy smile moved across her full lips showing her bright white teeth. “Same goes for you Dick, I’m just a text or a phone call away. Don’t work too hard and I look forward to seeing you again. If you ever want company I’m not that far away.” With that and a pleasant good bye she went to her car and climbed inside before driving politely off the property.

“Pick up… Pick up… damnit Tim pick up!” Barbara Gordon was pacing back and forth in the office room of her apartment. Compared to the other members of the Bat Family, Barbara found a high interested in technology and electronics; finding them much more challenging then the day to day problems people were used to handling. Her room was half a scattered mess of computer parts while the other half was linked computer systems, at least five if not ten screens and three different keyboards. Some screens were running live feeds of Gotham while the others were running numbers and a few were left blank.

“FINALLY!” Barbara explained as someone answered the phone.

    “Hello Barb calm down.”

“Tim, damnit, where’s Dick? What’s going on with this Abigail girl…” After Tim explained the situation and Barbara was finally filled in, she ran a small hand through her red hair before it fell onto her hip. “Look, she has to know something…”

“I know that, I also know she wants to get into Dick’s pants…”

    “Excuse me?”

    “She likes him.”

    “Does he like her?”

“Can’t tell, Dick’s hard to read but she’s really nervous around him…”

“Maybe she has something to hide---“

“It’s called infatuation Barb it happens to people.”

Barbara’s nostrils flared. Even though she was younger than Dick but older than Jim, she always was rather protective of those she considered family. Especially with Dick’s new standing in society and Nightwing making his presence known back in Gotham; problems were soon going to arise and Dick balancing a relationship and super-hero work could be too much for him just returning... AND it could be with Two-Face’s daughter… was she the only one who saw a problem with that?! “You and I both know that a relationship is nearly impossible in our line of work…”

    “A man has ne---“

“Tim don’t you dare say it. A woman does too but you don’t see me running around with random men---“

“You do need to date more…”

“OR a person who could be my enemy’s child!”

“Valid point. What do you want him to do?”

“I think she knows more than she’s leading us to believe. Not just that but everyone in their right minds know that if they have an encounter with one of the villains here in this god-forsaken…”

“The town’s not that bad, the right sunlight, a little breeze…”

“TOWN!” She said cutting Tim off though she was fighting back a grin of her own. “One of us is bound to show up to question them. It would only make sense for Nightwing to show up and question her. Get Dick on the road after her, I’ll disable her car from here and make her pull over.”

“And… why didn’t you all Dick to tell him this?”

“If he’d answer his phone he’d know all this by now. Just go get him.”

    “Alright talk to you later.”

“Bye Tim.” With that Barbara hung up the phone and went to work on Abbie’s car while Tim went to catch Dick before he left.

    ----

Abbie was bouncing her head along to her music as she drove down the long backroads of Gotham still admiring the beauty that lay so far out… that was until her radio started to static, her car started to beep and everything began to slow down. “Oh no... no no no…”

Pulling the car safely over, she watched the power die right before her eyes. “Damnit.” She said as she pushed her car door open and climbed out. Taking in a deep breathe of the afternoon winds, she leaned against her car and pulled out her phone 3:48pm her phone read, wow she spent about an hour and a half with them and they still weren’t sick of her. Amazing!

Dialing a number she got a hold of a tow truck company that gave her an ETA of 15 minutes. So what does she do? She walks to the hood of her car and climbs up on it, resting her button on the wood and gently swung her jean covered legs. Why not? It was a nice sunny day, the breeze was nice and so what if her car died… oh no, what if Dick came down the hill! She’d look like an idiot with a dead car not even three miles away from his home. Her free hand smacked against her face. Sure, let’s just stack on the embarrassing things she’s done around him… But he’s got a lot of unpacking to do. Maybe she’ll get lucky! At least it’s a lovely day. Nothing can ruin that right?
The young blonde reached over and checked her phone to see that she had received her unnamed number that was from the one and only Robin Hood. A small smile curled the corners of her full lips as she closed her phone and went into her work. Typing away on her computer she translated her typing from the court case with Robert into a more understandable document then herself. Smiling as she did so she clicked away at her computer, her head bouncing to a beat of her own music as she focused on her work.

After a while, she found herself zoning out a bit before she turned her head, seeing the body of Robert Locksley moving past her door. She returned his small smile and nod with a set of her own before looking back at the computer. Her fingers paused on the keys as she thought more about Robert. Robert Locksley could be a real problem and if Robin Hood couldn’t see that he was a problem, maybe he knew something she didn’t know… or maybe he just wasn’t aware of how dangerous Robert could really be.

If Robin wasn’t going to take Robert as a threat maybe she shouldn’t worry. Then again… the blonde stood up from her chair, eyes fixated on the screen in front of her. Robin probably didn’t know much about the lawyer business and even if he knew the slightest bit, he’d be most likely to be worried about Robert. Taking a moment to breathe she walked over to the window and pulled it open, her office wasn’t the biggest but she was lucky to have a nice window even though it was a view of the streets with car speeding by on the heavy traffic streets. Though she couldn’t argue with the nice breeze that blew in through her window whenever she opened it; her hands wrapped gently round the open window ceil as she took on the fresh, well somewhat fresh, air of the outside. The wind moving her hair around her face she took a moment to relax and think…

Her moment was interrupted by a voice, “Marian.” She turned around at the window to see Guy Gibson standing in the doorway of her office holding some papers. “You look refreshed this morning.” He said with a bright tone to his voice as he entered the room after receiving the gesture to enter. “I have some exciting news.”

    “Oh yes? What is it?”

“We have a blood sample from the shoot out last night with Robin Hood,” Marian bit her tongue so she wouldn’t respond back with the fact that Robin Hood never shot a gun but that was something that needed to be left unsaid, not to mention he didn’t seem to know that Marian was at the scene to begin with, thank you Robin! “And they finally sent over the documentation on the possible matches for the blood sample. I wanted to share it with you.” He said with a sense of innocent handing her the thick file.

“This is a lot of papers for just a blood sample.” Marian said as she attempted to pull out all of the documents with one hand.

“Well it’s police reports from the shootouts and documentations from the hospital with current bullet injury people that were admitted last night.”

“Oh wow.” She said in surprise as she finally got all the papers out. As one could see, her hands were rather small compared to how many papers she had attempted to pull out in one time. The struggle was intense as she finally got out all the papers, only to have a truck fly by the window and shoot in an intense breeze. “OH NO!” The blonde shouted in distress as the papers flew from her hands and took off out the window. Without missing a beat, the blonde jumped out the window and began frantically reaching for the papers as they flew through the air.

“Marian!” Guy shouted with a laugh before following her out the window. Marian through apologies left and right as she tried to grab papers that took off into the air but all Guy could do was reassure her that everything was fine and that they had other copies in Robert’s office; “It’s okay, really.” He said with a bright smile as the two wondered back inside looking through the retrieved papers to see they were mainly the police reports. “Don’t worry about it.” With that they entered inside and Guy left to make another phone call.

The other papers were in Locksley’s office… As she walked towards his office, she stopped at a mirror to check her hair, teeth, make up and made sure she looked professional and maybe… a bit flirty. He had to know something and maybe, he’d be willing to share. Or she could get her hands on the paper.

“Hey Robert,” Marian said leaning against the doorframe of his office, her arms crossed under her chest and her ankles crossed at her feet. Her long toned tan legs relaxed slightly as she held her balance on her heels before pulling herself off the wall and walking ever-so-slowly inside, her arms dropped gently to her side and her hands went to her hips. “How’s it going?’ She asked in a soft voice.
At her first meeting with Dick, she found him to be quite humorous and willing to make fun of her for not knowing he was the new owner of the estate. And now here they were, playing a game of pool ever-so causally in the Wayne Manor. Along with making playful comments and even, dare she think, flirtatious? Did Abbie ever think she'd be in this position? No. Did she ever consider she could get along with someone who probably has more money than God? No. Why? Well she didn't think she could talk to someone like that. But Dick wasn't a normal 'billionaire bachelor', he came across as a relaxed kid from the streets and that made communicating with him a lot easier.

As the game went on and Dick took his shots, Abbie gave off small signals of both nervousness and excitement. Her fingers would twitch against the stick as he spoke showing she was nervous but at the same time her free hand would play with her hair in the pony tail or glad her hand along the table top showing some form of flirtatious activity. Inside her mind she wasn't quite catching on to what she was actually doing but her mind was very clear on the fact that she was having a good time.

She smirked at his comment to her before she looked at Tim with a look of surprise; and not because he asked about her parents but because he had called Dick a clown. Her head jerked back and shook slightly in the surprise before she spoke, "Clown? Au contraire." She said waving a small finger at him as she rounded the table to line up her shot, "This man is no clown, maybe a bit foolish but far from a clown." Her caramel eyes flicked playful to Dick before she leaned over and lined up her shot focusing on the ball. "I think "classic" described him pretty well. Why you ask?" She pulled the stick back and knocked her last ball into a pocket with easy.

"First off, he answers his own door." She observed the table as she walked to try to line up her last shot. "Secondly, he's willing to talk to people he's never met, including some random blonde on his doorstep." She stopped walking after picking where she wanted to swing from. "Thirdly, he sends people thank you gifts." At that she chalked the end of her cue stick. "And lastly I bet he'd hold a door open for me." With that she looked over at Dick and gave him a playful grin, "But that's just a guess, I could be expecting way too much."

With that she put down the chalk back on the edge of the table. "But to answer your other question Tim; I don't know really. I was adopted by the man I now call my father when I was a baby. He was kind enough not to keep that from me and he loves me dearly so I've never seen a reason to track down my real parents." She gave a shrug before leaning over the table. "It's ironic though." She said with a nod before point, "Corner pocket." She pulled back the stick before speaking again, "He's got blonde hair too, well what's left of it." She gave a small shrug leaving the statement at that. She didn't like to go into her father's story about why he was injured but it wasn't her story to tell. At her release Tim's phone buzzed.

We can't rule out the chances of it not being Harvey Dent but Tim, there's way too high of a chance it is. 98% chance Abigail Dent is the adopted daughter of Two Face.

At the time his phone buzzed, the ball fell into the pocket. "Good game." She said standing upright and giving him a grin. "Honestly didn't think I'd win. I hope you weren't going easy on me." She said playfully. "I don't want to take up your cleaning time but I don't have any plans for today if you'd like some extra help. Or I can leave you to it." She should want to help out a new friend right?
“You got it captain.” Nikki said playfully as she went into the computer room and began typing away on the computer. Did she ever expect to find a group of people she got along with? No. Did she ever expect to find her freedom to travel the galaxy with assassin, a pair of other bounty hunters, a stern and serious man and of course; Peter Quill. In the mists of her typing she couldn’t help but grin to herself. A half human half Spartoi and the prince of the Empire; her people’s mortal enemy’s only son and heir to the throne is helping her achieve her freedom by doing something no one would have ever guessed…

The information required quite a bit of digging but she got her answers. They were wanted dead or alive, alive was considered much more valuable unless they had the leader and his commanding officer dead; then proof was all that was needed. “Hm…” Nikki muttered allowed as she placed her elbow on the table and stared at the screen. The question was how many should they bring back alive versus dead; in addition to that, how many would the Ravagers allow them to return. They’d have to be the one collecting the bounty; the Novas wouldn’t take them seriously if they showed up but if the Guardians showed up with a handful of people and a cargo of corpses, they wouldn’t turn them away or refuse payment.

Nikki chuckled inside, listening to her own thought she realized that she was thinking of herself as one of them without even blinking an eye. That’s really what Quill seemed to want, he seemed like he wanted her to know that she was accepted by them, that she was one of them. Peter Quill, her husband…

The screen suddenly flashed a few times before a blocked name came up. When it came down to it, that could be anyone. Clicking the answer button, Nikki picked it up. “Milano.”

“Nikki.” Rick’s face appeared on the screen which caused the blue haired woman to look up in surprise. Rick sat in a chair in front of the screen wearing a comfortable flannel shirt and a pair of blue jeans. “Nikki I’m glad I finally got a hold of you. Hear me out, please. I want you to reconsider what you’re doing with Quill.”

“I told you already, I want my freedom. And the only person who can give me that is Quill….” She said defensively.

“But we could travel, you and I. It wouldn’t have to be for work. No more running, no more hiding, no more fighting for your life and no more lock down. You could come and go as you please, we could go together. You’d never have to worry about not being safe, never have to fear that someone’s coming after you, that you’ll get hurt. You’ll live happily… with me.”

“Rick…” She said in desperation, her voice clearly indicating that she didn’t want to talk about it.

“Look Nikki just--- just hear me out. Let me take you on one date, just one. The next time you come to a council meeting. No suit, no weapons, no restrictions or rules; just you, me and a nice night out. I know you’re only with Quill because you think it’s your only way out and I want you to know it’s not.”

“You’re wanting…” Her head rose, her chocolate eyes turning to the screen, blue eyebrows raised. “You’re wanting to take me, a married woman, out on a date?”

“If you want to look at it from a legal standpoint, yes.” He said rather bluntly giving a firm nod.

Nikki rose from her seat, unsure of how to answer it; when it really came down to it, she never gave Rick much of a chance, and she did jump into things with Quill but… she liked Quill, a lot… “You’ll have to ask Quill.”

“Okay first off, it’s your choice not his, and secondly why would I ask him anyway.”

“Basically boils down to the fact that he’s my legal husband and on Xander he’s my legal guardian.”

    “But you’d say yes.”

“Are you willing to take the risk or not Nova?” She asked crossing her arms, and without missing a beat Rick responded with a yes. The blue haired girl made her way down the stairs after putting Rick on hold and went into the dining area to find Peter sitting by himself.

“Whoa, you look like you just got hit with something hard.” She said seeing his face. Walking to him she placed her hand gently on his shoulder with a small smile. “Don’t worry Star-lord; everything will work out in the end.” Yeah just a bit of an ego stroke before she began, “Good news is; price is good dead or alive as long as we have proof. Bad news is…” She bit her lower lip softly and sighed pulling her hand from his shoulder. “You have a phone call on hold.” She nodded softly before sliding her hands into her back pockets and turned, walking towards the cockpit to take in the view of space she called out behind her. “And just so you’re aware; my answer is No. Because I’m happy.” With that she climbed up into the cockpit and stood at the window looking out awaiting to hear what her ‘husband’ has chosen.
Listening to him speak said that he had experienced Nigthwing before as she leaned against the cue watching him line up and take his shots. But that would be understandable considering he worked as a bar, he probably saw a lot; boy he probably had some stories. All she could do was nod as he talked. Unlike Batman, when she walked out of the lounge with Nightwing he didn’t corner her with questions; he actually seemed to understand that she had a long night and was exhausted. He didn’t seem to question her about where she lived so he could pester her later and he didn’t go out of his way to make her uncomfortable.

She was left to her thoughts even while he was working; shaking because of the temperature of the room but anyone else could have been shaking due to the experience. Abbie had been through a lot that night but anyone else could have been a blubbering fool or in complete shock. Well she found one good thing about him at least. It seemed almost ironic; he looked like he was about her age, maybe a tad older. How long had he been training under Batman? How did Batman put up with him? Was he always a jerk like this? Or did Abbie just catch him on a bad night. The idea of the ‘set rules’ came into play. Maybe Nightwing was being harder on people for the sake of his own rules… who knows?

“Oh come on…” She said teasingly as she slid to Dick, “Being the new kid on the block can’t be alllll bad.” She slid her way between Dick and the table, taking up the gap that was there and grinned up at him as they were face to face. Sure Dick was a bit taller than her but that didn’t stop her from making eye contact, her caramel eyes twinkling with playfulness and her body leaned forward slightly towards him, “I was under the impression that the new kids, including the pool god, would be up for a challenge or two….” Leaning back she gave a small shrug, “I’m disappointing in you.” As she slid by him she gave him a wink, showing that she was only kidding before lining up her shot.

She sank in three balls before missing her forth one, she was almost done, this was her last ball than she was onto the 8 ball. Surprisingly enough he was keeping up with her rather well; this was a good game.

Tim, Barbara’s text rang to his phone, I’ve found three signatures of Harvey Dent’s that have come back positive. I’m waiting on two more before I’m willing to give it a 100% match. 80-20 chance Abigail Dent is Two Face’s adopted daughter.
“Oh ‘god’ are we?” She responded in a playful questioning tone, pulling her head back as she leaned on the pool cue with a nod and a small eye roll; though she couldn’t help but allow a twinkle of playfulness in her eyes. But upon Tim making a comment about how getting tired of the rich getup she found herself nodding in agreement. That’s one of the few reasons she took a job, aside from attempting to not live off of her father’s money. She didn’t want to be ‘that person’ but she wasn’t going to deny the help.

Tim’s question about anyone being there around the presence of Nightwing and Penguin going head to head but it wasn’t a battle as some people seem to make it out to be. He beat up some of the Penguin’s guards and so did she but from there they didn’t see each other. When Dick talked around her and teasingly called her champ she gave him an arrogant smirk. “Oh you’ll eat those words.” She said with a nod before talking around the table and eyeing her shot for a solid ball.

“Unlike you, I prefer the quieter way.” She leaned over the table with a smirk, lining up her shot and made no more than a small clink as the balls hit each other; knocking in a solid. Standing back upright she smirked as she began her walk around the table. “To answer your question Tim,” She began, her small fingers tapping against the wood of the cue stick as she debated on whether to answer it or not. “As far as I’m aware no one was there, I left shortly after Dick left.” This time she climbed up on the table crossing one leg over the other in her jeans and rose up the stick. Leaning over she placed her hand upon the table and rested the stick gently on it. With a light tap, she sent another ball into a socket. Smirking she climbed off the table and began her walk once again.

“I do have a question for you Dick,” She began as she lined up yet another shot. “Well a question comes with a story, I guess you could say.” She pulled her cue back and gently knocked in another ball before taking aim at another one. “Night before last Nightwing pulled my driver out of the window of the car and nearly pressed his face into the concrete. He came from Bludhaven; so I’d like to ask you a simple question.” With that she lined up the shot and missed letting out a sigh, hanging her head slightly she stood upright and stepped back from the table before looking at Dick, “He seems kinda like a jerk. Was he like that there?” No, no question on why he was there, she could understand helping until Batman came back… hopefully, but nearly beating up an innocent cab driver… yeah still on her negative list.
Did Abigail expect a tour of the manor when she showed up? Did she expect to meet the infamous butler? Did she honestly think the new billionaire would want to do something as small and simple as a game of pool? The answer to all of those questions as a simple ‘no’; yet here she was. Half of her felt like she was getting some form of special attention but she didn’t want to believe that she was getting some form of special treatment… maybe, he just likes her company right? Right?

Reaching out a delicate hand, she wrapped her fingers around the thicker end of the stick and took it from him. “Bars around the world huh?” Her hand slowly let the stick fall between it until the end hit the ground and she leaned against it. “Well I’ve been kicked out of tournaments because someone with my awesome skills shouldn’t compete with people, it wasn’t fair.” Leaning up against the stick, she leaned against the stick with a grin. “And that’s supposed to be intimidating too.” She nodded before leaning the stick against the table and squatted down, grabbing the triangle and placed it on the top before slowly loading the balls into the triangle.

Her head jerked up from loading up the rack to see a young man enter the room with them. She rose up dropping the last ball onto the rack lining them up nicely. “Hello Tim, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” And she nodded in the direction of the coffee as well with a bright smile. “It sounds like you young men have been working hard. Just don’t overwork yourself.” She nodded before stealing another glance at Dick.

Turning her attention to the triangle she lifted it gently off of the balls and slid the white ball across the table to where Dick was standing, at that moment she turned her caramel gaze to Tim with another bright white smile across her full lips. “It’s lovely. I can’t say I’ve ever seen any place like it before.” Turning her attention back to Dick she gave him a grin. “Host breaks.” With that she looked back at Tim while Dick lined up his shot. “I feel rather honored to even be invited in through the door much less deeper into the house. Then again, you bug someone enough they’re bound to talk to you or tell you to go away.” She said with a cheeky grin towards Dick. “Just remember Dick, you’re playing against a professional…somewhat, possibly, maybe…” Her gaze moved away from Dick in an attempt not to stare at him as she stayed on the other side of the pool table not wanting to break his comfort zone but she felt her hands fidget, her body rock ever-so-slightly and her gaze attempt to flick uncontrollable towards his direction No Abbie, friend… friend-FRIEND.
“Alright I’ll see you tomorrow.” Marian said with a nod as she put her phone away and turned from the door. Well, it happened. She now had Robert Lockley’s number in her phone. Unlike any other time; she’d consider that a bad thing; but not this time. This time it wasn’t a big deal for her; he had proven to be less of a jerk and more of a, well general nice person. Hard to believe right? Even as she walked down the stairs, she couldn’t help but look over her shoulder and question exactly what was going on up stairs in that apartment.

Climbing into her car she started home, feeling all the more stressed about the situation. That was too close, she was at the scene and if anyone recognized her, her father would have a cow. But there were so many people with the same car as her in the big city and the guys looked like people she had never seen before; maybe there’d be too much celebration and staking out the hospital inspecting anyone who showed up with a bullet wound that they’d forgetting about the thief and the escape to really care. That would make life so much easier!

It felt great to be home but that didn’t stop her from tossing and turning at night in concern for Robin. Hopefully he was alright; hopefully he’d take it easy and heal on his own. Hopefully…
    ---

The next morning the blonde woke up and grabbed her phone, her attempt at sleeping was nearly non-existent and worry got the best of her. How’s the bite? She texted him, knowing full well she’d be talking about the bullet. Sure, even if he didn’t get back to her until the evening, at least he’d know she was concerned like a good person would be… a good friend… a good team mate… a good girlf… no! Stop! None of that! Marian threw her blankets off her bed and climbed off the fluffy bed.

That same morning, Cassie was at Robert’s door. “Uncle Rob! Uncle Rob I know you’re mad but please listen! Listen! You may know a lot but I know something you don’t know!” Bang bang bang. “First off, you’re going to be late for getting ready for work if you don’t get up now. And secondly!” Her voice dropped as a smirk moved across her face. “Marian likes you. In a non-creepy sort of way… just like you like her.” Oh yeah, she was pulling that card with him. There was no doubt that Marian found Robin Hood attractive but that would be a good ego boost for her uncle to hear.

Getting ready, Marian was back in her office at 9am like normal. Her phone sitting next to her computer on silent awaiting a text back to make sure he was okay. Hopefully… maybe, maybe he was still sleeping and recovering. Her lips wrapped around the silly lid of the coffee cup as she sat in a white blouse and black skirt staring at her screen. It’s a long shot but hopefully no one caught wind of her involvement last night; especially with how much the office was exploding about the news that Robin Hood got shot. God, I hope he's alright...
The response she got was rather unexpected; he nodded and repeated the title but didn’t say anything more. What Abbie didn’t expect was that it would be a tender subject and that’s when it dawned on her. He had suffered losing his parents and lived with Bruce, which is why he was now the one who inherited the estate. Her caramel gaze followed the paper as he set it back down on the table again. Now she was embarrassed because he caught her trying to ring the doorbell with her elbow, she ran her hip into the closest solid object and now she brought up a tender subject that she didn’t want to talk about… great….

Someone entered the room and the blonde turned, the man was older and gave off the vibe of being much wiser then he was appearing to be. A smile moved across her full pink lips showing her bright white teeth to the older gentleman in the suit. “It’s a pleasure.” She said politely before turning her gaze to Dick with raised eyebrows but the grin staying firmly on her face. Turning her attention back to Alfred she nodded as he walked off towards another room.

It took a moment for her to realize that he was talking to her again. Not because she didn’t want to hear from him but because she was too entranced by the atmosphere of the location. “Oh, thank you.” Her response came with a goofy laugh as she placed her purse down next to the poster before following him deeper into the house. After seeing a few rooms they wondered into the billiard room only to find an excited Abbie nearly skipping to it. “Oh I love pool! I haven’t played it in a long time.” She said wondering in before looking over at the bar. “And a bar, very nice.”

Her small hand glided along the table as she walked along the pool table as if inspecting it. Though her gaze kept flicking up to look at Dick in hopes she’d be able to sneak glances at him when he wasn’t looking in her direction. He was a good looking guy, had a simple sort of way about him and highly respectful; which was surprising in this world. She only hoped he wouldn’t lose that, and she hoped that they could be considered friends. “You think you’d be up for taking a break and playing a game of pool?”

Tom, tell Dick I checked into the signatures. It’s a 50 – 50 shot it’s Harvey Dent, I’ll keep digging.
