When she took the leash from him he gave her a bright smile showing his straight white teeth. Humans couldn’t the stars in her eyes; nor would they be able to see the stars in the other gods’ eyes either, so he was getting quite a treat to be able to see them first hand. They were gorgeous, mind-blowing actually and he felt nearly swept away by the sight of them, even though she was human.

Knowing that they were going to be stuck on earth, the gods had made themselves earth money to make it through their time until they figured everything out. Curt reached into his jacket pocket and pulled out his wallet. It didn’t contain much information inside but it did hold a resoundingly large amount of cash. Filtering through the money he found the one marked as ‘10’ and handed it to her before putting the billfold back into his pocket. Her wish echoed through his ears as she typed away on the computer. His head tilted to one side as he watched her work. Why would she wish to help more? Most humans would just leave the injured animal on the side of the road, she’s already done so much. The selfless-ness of the human-goddess wasn’t very surprising, then again, they didn’t know what type of person they’d run into to begin with.

“Actually I’m in the market to adopt.” He said with a broad smile across his full lips. A companion like a dog would make his time on earth much less lonely and more fun. “Though I’ve never adopted before, is the process a difficult one?” Curt was doing his best to contain a causal conversation with the woman as he worked through his thoughts to try to figure out the best way to approach her about the situation he and his fellow gods were in. There was only one person on earth that could help them in their situation and… well he happened to be standing in front of that single person.
    Fun to read too.

I think I'm going to split them up here soon.
During the time that Gray was helping his employee, his mind wondered back to the woman in his office. She was, in fact, a woman now. They weren’t kids playing around anymore; they were adults and she had become a woman. His head shook slightly, trying to push the thoughts of her into the back of her head. Why were these thoughts coming up now? Was it because she was in the building? Because she pushed aside her fear of being unable to walk to stumble to him? Because she teased him? Maybe that could be something… or maybe he’s just overthinking things.

Finishing up with his employee he returned to his office finding her lounging on his chair holding their prom picture in her hands. A smile moved across his face as he shut the door and walked to the desk sliding himself onto it and sitting comfortably. “I’d say we’re happy like that now. We’re back together after all. There’s no reason not to be happy. And you’re starting to walk again. Nice time I’ll hold out a piece of chocolate and make you stumble your way to me. Soon we’ll have you running after me as I keep the chocolate away from you.” His voice was cheeky, matching the smile on his face.

Don't feel like that since I'm the one writing for 6 (now 7) characters.

    Your posts are wonderful!
There we go, kinda long but I hope you like it!
It's going to be easier when there's less people involved.

The fact that she agreed to help all of them caused the group to exchange looks of relief. Then she asked the question that they were all wondering. The groups exchanged looks with each other and Hue was the first who chose to speak up.

“None of us really know what to do Miss Jo.” He said before his gazed move to Leon. “We might have some ideas but we’re most likely wrong.” To that Leon broke his gaze away from Jo and looked in another direction. “Bare with us Miss Jo, we are all lost and confused right now.” At that he turned his dark gaze back to Jo and gave her a small smile, “Maybe not as confused as you are right now but still, we are rather lost. We’ll most likely jump to conclusions from time to time or make random and unreasonable guesses but we’re not doing it out of ill-will.”

“We have situations we need to take care of here at the mansion there will be no playing around. Work comes first.” Alexander said in an authoritarian tone looking over at Axel who’s face dropped in disappointment.

Axel’s gaze turned to Jo before giving her a gentle smile. “Well I’m Axel, god of Gemini. And she…” Gesturing over his shoulder the God in the corner. “That’s Scorpio, she is the goddess of the Scorpio constellation. Alexander is the head of our department. We are from the Department of Punishments. I know that may sound scary but our job really isn’t. What’s the phrase human’s use for ‘when you do something bad, something bad will happen to you’?”

“I think they call it ‘Karma’.” Curt spoke up, his knowledge of the human world seeming to be more vast than the others.

Nodding, Axel gave Curt a smile before turning his attention back to Jo. “Yeah, karma. I like to think that what we do really helps humans turn their lives around.”

Scorpio chuckled at his statement but she chose not to speak after Alexander threw her another ‘shut up’ look.

“This is Hue, god of Aquarius.” Curt said gesturing to him and then pointed nonchalantly to Leon who had returned to his lounging. “And that is Leon, he is the god of Leo. Also… he’s the director of our department. We work for the Department of Wishes and our job is to grant the wishes of humans that are strong enough or passionate enough to reach us in the heavens. Some wishes aren’t strong enough to reach us but the ones that are we make a priority to grant.”

The pitter patter of little feet soon echoed through the emptiness and stillness after Curt spoke. At this pitter patter, Leon was instantly to his feet, showing the first sign of movement in quite a while as he stared at the entrance into the sitting room.

A small figure rounded the corner, a little blonde girl in a white dress appeared in the doorway. “My lords!” She called out before dashing inwards with excited glee. Her bubbliness filled the room and it seemed to brighten with her mere presence. “Lord Leon!” The little girl made a beeline for the open arms of the smiling Leon.

“Isi!” He said with excitement as he scooped up the girl about the size of a five year old into his arms to give her a big hug. The other gods around them either gave small smiles or big smiles but it was obvious they were generally happy to see the little girl. “Why are you here?”

“Oh Lord Leon the heavens are not the same without you.” The little girl exclaimed as she hugged him around his neck with glee. “No one else plays with me as much as you do.” Alexander muttered something about Leon’s lack of getting his work done but the young girl ignored him. “News spreads fast to the heavens, the king sent me down to bring you work.” At that she hit the floor with a THUD, Leon dropped her instantly hearing the phrase from her mouth. “Ow… My lord…” She said as she stood up rubbing her butt. “That wasn’t very nice.”

“You brought work…” Leon said sounding exhausted as he fell back into the chair and rubbed his forehead with his hand. “And here I thought I’d get some peace and quiet.”

The young girl pulled at his other hand. “But work is backing up already Lord Leon, we need you and the other God’s work in order to keep everything in balance…” Her small face turned into a pout as Leon looked back at her. He muttered something that sounded like ‘fine’ and sent the little girl into a giggle of glee. “Oh wonderful I’ll go get the paperwork!” The little girl turned and was about to dash back out of the room before her eyes landed on Jo. “Oh! You must be the human-goddess!” She skipped to Jo before taking her single hand in her small little ones. “I am Isabelle. I’m the messenger for the gods. What’s your name?”

It's okay, just wanted some clarity.
The humans had such interesting objects inside their buildings and this was the first time that Curt had ever been in the human world. His hand traced along the device called “Leech” for a dog. A smile moved across his face. This device allowed a dog to be outside and dance around without getting too far away. Man, humans are truly clever!

The doors burst opened and a young woman hurried in with a dog in her arms. Despite the size of the dog, she was able to hold onto it with a surprising amount of ease. The other humans in the room didn’t seem surprised, nor did they seem bothered by the attention the injured animal was getting attention before them. Because of his position in the Department of Wishes, he could hear the wishes from the people in the room. I wish that dog would get better. and I wish that the dog’s health would get better. Selfless wishes from humans always made him smile and he put his fingers together getting ready to snap and grant the wishes of the patrons inside.

Before he followed through with the snap, he was approached by the woman who just carried in the dog. “Oh hello. Don’t worry about the confusion I…” His voice trailed off as he finally made eye contact with her. She had stars in her eyes! The stars were beautiful and nearly entrancing. She was the human-goddess they were looking for and she happened to appear in front of him. Without realizing he was staring into her eyes and almost leaning forward as if to get a closer to her stars.

The sound of the bird pulled him back into reality and he shook his head. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to stare. Can, can I buy this?” He said holding up the leech. “What are you going to do with that dog once it’s better?”
    Now or later?

    So!
    Question!
I came up with an idea this morning, I have a smaller character to bring in that could share with her a lot of information and can be fun to have around and will show a softer side to Leon.
Do you want to see it now or should I put it off for a bit longer?
