Is it hard delivering punishments? was the first question out of her mouth and to that, Alexander pressed his lips together in thought. For him, punishing humans was the hardest thing he could ever do because deep in his heart, he wanted to believe all humans were good. But when it comes to justice, they needed to be set on the right path again so he was without a pause when it came to punishing those who needed it. “Magically, too much work can be exhausting; morally, it’s what it takes to get the humans on the right path.”

With her hand on his shoulder, he held an open palm over the waters and it rippled to reveal the face of a man. At that Alexander snapped his fingers and the image faded away. He began to cycle through, bringing up imagines of people through their daily lives and snapping his fingers without a word, flicking through papers as he did so. Her question stopped him in mid-snap and he looked up at her, confusion on his face. “Like humans, we choose our mates and create families. I’m flattered Miss Jo, however I have no interest in romance at this time. In addition to that, no one really knows if love be4tween a human and a god is possible.” At that he went back to filtering through people and snapping his fingers as he did so.

By the time her attention returned to him, he was more than half way through his pile of papers; almost to the 3/4th mark in fact. “You will most likely be with the lion, who will more than likely not take his work seriously.” Alexander’s voice expressed a large amount of annoyance towards Leon but his expression remained professional as he continued on with this work. “What do I do for fun?” He repeated to ask himself more than to make sure he heard him properly. “I enjoy reading. Knowledge is exceptionally important and I prefer to be knowledgeable than lack knowledge. In addition to that I enjoy indulging in human fictional stories once and a while. The things that humans come up with in their imagination are truly fascinating.” Even as he spoke, he continued to snap his fingers; never breaking his concentration.

After about an hour, Alexander had filtered through the large stack of papers and gently removed her hand from his shoulder a signal they were done. “Thank you for your assistance Miss Jo. I would walk you out but I have a few things I need to complete on the paperwork before I can step away. Please take the stairs back up into the main portion of the house and turn right; that hallway will take you past the sitting room and to the front door. Drive carefully.”

Upstairs in the sitting room was Leon, sitting on the couch he was bent over writing on paperwork. His eyes intense and focused as he scribbled on one paper and placed it on a stack with other writing, he then picked a document not written on from another stack and began to read and make notes. A tea pot filled with tea and an empty cup was the only thing keeping him company in the room. His stomach growled loudly, echoing through the room for the fourth time but he continued to work, writing away on the papers and running his free hand through his hair. Paperwork sucked… and Isabelle always brought him more than the others because of his position. Who would have known looking after so many other employees could cause so much paperwork.
By the way my post is based off of before your edits.
I don't think it really effects anything per say but if something looks a little off that's why.
Plus changing the post since I'm posting on my phone is difficult.
I am still alive but I do work full time during the week so I don't normally get on every day.
Last week was a strange one because I worked 7 days in a row, got two days off in the week, worked two days then had the weekend off.
    -nods-

Not ignoring you just a busy job.
    -laughs-
And home life, gets pretty crazy too.
Especially this coming weekend and every other weekend when my house is bombarded by munckins.

The day dragged on when Gray realized that he was going to go and hang out with Monica when he was done. Every question that his employees ask him seem to require all of his attention but take the longest time to complete. It was too the point when it hit 3pm that the young man was sitting at his desk throwing the ball back up towards the ceiling. Why… Why day?! Why do you have to be SO DANG LONG!!

After what felt like an eternity it’s finally hit 5pm and for the first time since the business opened, the employees were stunned to see Gray Yin sprinting out of the building and skipping most of the steps and stumbling to his car.

What to bring? What to bring? What to bring?! Soon Gray found himself standing in the grocery store looking down the isles. What the hell do you bring to a dinner?! Sure, Gray had been on dates, but dates involved going out and someone else taking care of the ‘needs’. Uh… Staring blankly with his dark eyes at the selection of wines he tapped his chin. Oh god… lucky for him, as he was about to pull out his hair, someone approached him and began to talk to him.

It wasn’t long before Gray found a small chocolate cake and a bottle of moscato wine to end the night with. [i]Not bad for someone who knows nothing about a whole ‘at home’ date. Though, it didn’t dawn on him until he left the store and got to his car that this… this wasn’t a date… Uh, glancing in the review mirror he could see the bottle of wine and the cake in a bag waiting for their chance to be used. Was… was he overthinking things?

Hesitation got the best of him when he stood out in front of her door. [i]Was bringing this stuff a good idea? I mean, this isn’t a date… it can’t be a date. This is just two friends hanging out after not seeing each other for a long time… two friends, two adults… with adult feelings and… being adults now….

His finger rang the bell and to his surprise she answered the door without being on her crutches. “Hey.” He said brightly returning the hug he received as soon as he entered the room. “Thanks for the invite.” As they pulled away from the embrace, he noticed she was wearing makeup and found himself dropping quiet with a bit of shyness. “I… I brought… dessert.” His voice soft and shy like as he holds out the chocolate cake and wine. “The people at the grocery store said that this would be a good mix for a dessert…”
She stopped breathing?! OH NO! What did he do?! He stared up at her, his expression changing to one of concern as she stared down at him. Did he do something weird? Did he make her comfortable!? Did she think he was a weirdo for asking such a question? Was she going to throw him out? Many questions went through his head when he knew that he desperately needed to talk to her about something that was just as important as adopting the dogs!

When she started to nod he let out the breath he had been holding in and her smile seemed to lighten the room. He couldn’t help but grin in return. “Well I’m glad all three of you are jumping for joy because it’s myself included. But it looks like I’ll need another leash.” He said with a chuckle as he rose to his feet. “Can I trust with your help for gathering the essentials I need in order to care for these lovely guys? I’d like to think you have most of these things in the store. And any tips you have would be wonderful.”

“In fact.” He said as he rose from the floor and dusted off his pants, the dogs tails banging against the floor. “I do have some other questions I’d love to ask you Miss Alyssa that do not involve the animals. I don’t wish to take up your time while you’re here but is there any way I could meet you after you’re done with your volunteer work?” His voice was soft, inviting and warm. The bright smile on his face gave off nothing but positivity. “What do you say?”
Nah more like Leon would be spending the majority of a weekend day with her and so would Alexander due to their workloads.

And sure if you want to bring in others than by all means.
Curt climbed out of the jeep and shut the door. “Tonight will just be one member of the Department of Punishments. Leon thought it would be easier on you if you just dealt with two people a day. You should be with…”

“Miss Jo.” Alexander stood in the doorway of the mansion. His appearance as clean cut as ever in his sharp black suit with this silver band around his biceps. He walked out to the two as Curt gave him a pat on the shoulder and bid his fair-well and expressed his gratefulness for her help. Alexander turned his attention from Curt to Jo and gestured for her to follow him. “I would like to do my proceedings within the mansion. We will head downstairs into the basement.”

As they entered the mansion and proceeded down the stairs he took the time to explain. “We use the reflecting pools to do our work from the mansion. We have these in the heavens as well. Directors such as me and Leon each have one in our rooms, both here on earth and in the heavens. Because of our workloads this is beneficial for us. However to insure your comfort I felt like the reflecting pool down here would be the best option.” With that he opened the first door on the right and gestured for her to enter.

Inside was a peaceful feeling room with a raised large circular pool full of water. The water was a shimmering purple and Alexander left the door open behind them so in the windowless room she wouldn’t feel trapped. He moved with a graceful swiftness to the edge of the pool where a stack of papers sat. “Now.” He said taking a seat on the edge of the reflecting pool. “I think the easiest mode of which this can be do is for you to just put your hand on my shoulder while I work. Do you have any questions before I begin?”
“So you work with animals and kids, caring for those in need. You sound like quite a king person. The world could use more people like you.” Curt responded with an honest smile and a friendly nod. His aura radiated with friendliness and welcome-ness as if drawing both people and animals to him with the inviting and warm atmosphere. She didn’t seem too interested in talking with him and to that he was disappointed, and kind of impressed. Most of the time he could get people to forget what they were doing and focus only on him. Except for her. She seemed much more interested in selling him a dog then she did learning about him.

Nodding, he entered the kennel only to be greeted with the 4 year old bounding to him. Bounce Bounce Bounce THUD, the dog kicked off his legs and smacked into Curt, “Whoa!” He called out in surprise followed by intense laughter as Kima began to lick his face. Juna seemed just as excited as she bounce to him and began to find her way smelling and licking his thick brown hair. It had been a long long time since Curt had laughed as hard as he was now. He gently pushed the dogs away/off of him and they began to settle down.

“Well, I see why Juna’s never been adopted,” He stated as he patted the little puppy on her head. “She doesn’t want to leave her best friend.” His chocolate gazed moved to the Shepherd whose tail was banging against the floor. “And you don’t want to leave her either huh?” His voice was playful and happy as he nuzzled his face against Kima’s nose who proceeded to lick him in response. “Are you sure they aren’t on anyone’s adopting list as a pair? Can you adopt a pair?” Turning his gaze up to her, he gave her a questioning innocent look; a look a child would give a teacher when they were excited to learn something new.
When you choose to indicate a 'weekend', that is when she will spend time with Leon.
    -laughs-
