Lily was in the stands cheering for Andreas in hopes that he would win the match. He worked well with his pokemon and that much was obvious. “Hurrah!” She shouted with the rest of the crowd as they all sprang from their seats and cheered with joy as Andreas was announced victorious. The tournament was intense and drawing a lot of attention despite how young/inexperienced a lot of the trainers were. When the crowd died down, the blonde pushed her way through the people to find her ‘friend’.

“Hi!” She said excitedly as she arrived to him, “Yes I won, I’m in the semifinals too just like you! Congratulations!” She jumped at him without thinking and gave him a tight hug. The hug was tight but quick as she let him go and grinned brightly at him. “I got to catch the end of your match. Your Graveler listened to you well and you trusted its instincts too! That makes a great team I’m impressed.” She said with a nod before gesturing towards the ranking board. “I’m fighting to see if I make it into the finals. Do you want to come watch?”
Taunie got quiet as he sat down next to her. Did she know why the guild wanted him so desperately? Did she understand why he was so special? Could she honestly tell him no? Could she truly tell him that she had ‘no idea’ of why the guild would want him so badly? It was unfair to leave him in the dark but at the same time… if she was honest with him, would he actually join or would her beloved guild just seem like the evil villains, the dark guilds he had been running from.

“I have some theories…” She said as she scooped up her burger in her hands. The burger was stacked high with two thick paddies and a mound of mushrooms, lettuce and pickles. The barbeque sauce nearly falling off the sides and onto the French fries that sat along on the plate; it was pure deliciousness in her small hands and licking her lips said she was going to enjoy it. Opening her mouth wide she took a large bite of the food making ‘mmmm’ noises as she did. After swallowing she turned her blue gaze back to him.

“I think the master is looking into the disappearance of your dragons more intensely than anyone else. He doesn’t share this information with many people or really anything he finds because it sounds like he’s ran into a lot of dead ends. Natsu and Gajaal wouldn’t let him live it down if he started telling them each path he was looking down. I don’t know any details so don’t ask me. But if you want to have extra help your quest to find your dragon, being here would be the best bet. Because when the master finds solid evidence he will share it, I’m sure of it.” She took another bit of the burger, this one smaller so she could chew, swallow and continue without much of a delay.

“Another theory is that you’re as lost as the rest of us. Here, we’re all dealing with some sort of bullshit-backstory problems that make us all hate the outside world. The difference between living alone and living with the guild is that even though you’re looking for answers, you’re never looking alone and you always have a family here. Some of those who have discovered their families realize… well they’re better off here.” Her eyes darted around to a few people in the room before looking back down at her burger.

This time she took a bigger bite to keep herself from talking anymore. There was one other reason, one other situation that comes to her mind that the guild would need this dragon slayer but, she couldn’t get herself to tell him, at least not yet. It is too important for him to say yes that she didn’t want to push him away and she choose to make herself silent by stuffing her face with her burger.
18 minutes, specific and precise, his head jerked back slightly in surprise. Well that was unexpected but the nod from Serge was a grateful one. A woman who understood the difference between an exact time and ‘just a few minutes’ was a relief; however when he entered her apartment per her recommendation he found himself tightening his hands into fists in the pockets of his slacks.

Her place was messy; a lived in messy but that didn’t matter to him. How much trouble was it to put something away when you were done? Clean up your clothes? Dust, sweep, mop, and vacuum daily? Was he the only one on the planet who felt like this?! Probably… Serge had an odd obsession with cleaning and really enjoyed the fashion industry. This would probably explain why his home looked like a showroom floor more than an expensive flat in the downtown.

As she readied herself Serge found that he was getting more and more uneasy in her apartment and it wasn’t until minute 15 that he rolled up his sleeves an unintentionally began to clean. His method of cleaning was practical, useful and smooth. Basically he threw away any wrappers he found into her garbage can and straightened up the living room; taking the liberty upon himself to make sure her clothes were in pales by colors and styles on her couch. Since no standard method of man-kind could decipher whether her clothe were clean or dirty, he left the piles stack neatly together.

By the time she came out he was back by the door, still unsatisfied by how the room looked but he was much less antsy about it. Despite her lack of the top-of-the-line appearance, she was dressed much more professionally than the other people that had requested to speak to Mister Wilmer, though when dumped the contents of her backpack onto the couch he nearly had a heart attack and wanted to ask her if she needed a couple extra minutes to repack her bag but her statement of ‘ready when you are’ said that asking something like that probably wouldn’t make much of a difference.

A nod rose and fell his head as he pulled open the door. Despite it being her house, he let her out first, for he was raised that a lady walks through a door first. Period. As he shut the door behind them and stepped out of the way so she could lock it he spoke. “18 minutes exactly, I am impressed.” Serge being impressed to the point of surprised does not come often so this moment of praise was rare even to his teammates.

Upon their arrival to the car he opened up the back seat behind the passenger’s once she was in and buckled he shut the door and went around the SUV to the front. Climbing in, he buckled up and started the engine. The music on the radio was attached to his phone and what was recently playing was the end of ‘Back in Black’ by ACDC, which then moved into ‘My Way’ by Frank Sinatra. They moved swiftly through town as Serge drove the stick shift with a practiced hand and pulled into a coffee shop. Rolling down the window he ordered, “One large mocha breve’ extra hot with an extra shot of espresso.” He then turned his blue gaze to the reflection of his passenger in the back of the SUV. “What would you like Ms. Barker?”
The door behind him opened and he let out a long sigh, ready to lecture his sister about leaving her post. That was until he heard the voice behind him. Despite his face being so pale, he felt his cheeks turn red with embarrassment. His body was too exhausted as he leaned against the fridge and watched her go through his cabinets. She was here… she had a key… oh Annie was going to get it when he saw her again. At her statement of the fact that he looked terrible, his blue gaze hit the floor… here comes the lectures.

Knowing full well that arguing was pointless, he followed her instructions and sat down at his table. Head moving slightly he watched her make his hot coco. The dread in the pit of his stomach pulled, even though it was his day off, she was still his mistress and she was making hot coco for him. A small sigh left him as he turned his guilt-filled gaze to the table in front of him. Adrian would have his hands around James’ throat if he knew this was happening right now. Even the mere thought of that happening made James feel even more ill.

However her gentle placement of the hot coco in front of him and even her scolding caused a small smile to move across his face, “I got thirsty…” He said softly as he wrapped his cold hands around the mug. His body was freezing but his head was on fire; the warmth of the cup filling his body as he took a gentle drink. A small ‘mmmmm’ echoed in his throat as the warmth flowed through him. “Where’s Annie?” He asked softly into the cup, “She was supposed to take my place today. I’m sorry…” His head hung in disappointment as his blue gaze landed at the hot coco in his hands. “I’m a horrible butler…”
Kenton never understood Rayne’s obsession with his phone, mainly because Kenton never had anyone to text or call before. That was until he met Jun just yesterday. Now he took his phone with him everywhere around the house as he got ready to leave for school. It wasn’t until the young man was in the shower when his phone decided to buzz through with her message. Man, he should probably turn on the vibrate setting to function when it was on silent since he now had someone to text!

The young man nearly fell out of the shower after turning it off to get to the phone when he realized she had messaged him back. Standing in the bathroom drenched he texted her a response before pausing. Asking her if she needed a ride to school might be too forward or too clingy of him… His face crunched in thought. Boy he wasn’t good at this. He left the message blank for a second as he stepped out of the bathroom in his robe only to nearly run into his younger brother, “Rayne! I have a question for you.”

“Well you’re in a chipper mood this morning….” The blonde with teal eyes said sounding really drowsy.

“Sorry,” He said softening his voice a bit, “When… when is it too early to try to spend time with a friend outside of school?”

To that, Rayne’s eyes sprung open and his drowsiness vanished. The youngest of the Kyo brothers opened his mouth to say something before changing his mind, a smile moved across his face and he shared some advice to his socially awkward older brother.

I slept well, I hope you did too. Do you have any plans for Saturday? I have a horror move list on Netflix I want to get through and would enjoy a fellow movie buff to watch them with, if you’re interested. Deep breathe… Send.

“Kenton…” Rayne said as he came out of the bathroom brushing his teeth. “You didn’t tell her the movies were on Netflix did you?”

    “How did you …”

“Look I’m not blind just know that if you tell a girl you want to watch Netflix with her, it could come across as something else…”

The look of panic went across Kenton’s face as he grabbed his phone and hurried away from his brother. After looking up the meaning and finding out what ‘Netflix and Chill’ had become in pop culture his face exploded and he quickly sent her a text 100% admitting his lack of knowledge.

I, I just want to watch movies I swear! I just learned what this ‘Netflix and Chill’ is, I’m so sorry I hope it didn’t come across wrong!! Send. Then he held his breath.
The look on her face was, in fact, priceless as he dropped the ball in her hand. Was he kidding? He had to be kidding! Her blue eyes were wide and she stared at the ball, than at him in shock. The crowd around them erupted with joy as he placed the ball in her hand and her face turned bright red; what a day this was!

The game ended, of course, the Yankees won and had each and occupied the whole game, one was holding the ball and the other was holding Robert’s hand. She couldn’t believe it and the stupid grin on her face said just that! When they arrived at her home at the end of the night there was no doubt that they had had a good time. Marian had bid him good night and unlocked her door before she stopped. She didn’t want to leave like this, she had too good of time. Better than any time she thought she would have had with Robert. He really had changed and he deserved to know that she noticed it.

“Hey.” She called out before he walked away. Marian had turned around and walked to him. Her small soft hands traveled up his chest as her arms wrapped around his neck. She gave him a bright smile, an honest smile and rose up on her tiptoes giving him a gentle, kind and longer-than-she-had-intended, kiss on the lips. When she pulled back, she whispered in his ear, “Thank you for today, I really like this new you.” Then it was good night.

The next morning at the office, Marian was leaning back in her chair tossing the ball from the game up into the air and catching it in her hand. Humming a gentle tune before her phone buzzed and she took a call,

“A party? For the Governor? Why do I need to be there dad? Okay, okay fine? Wait… a date?” Marian’s eyes knitted together. “Do I need a date? Fine, fine! I’ll find a date…” A groan left her as she realized she had to find a date. Hanging up her phone, she looked down at it. Maybe she could invite Robin, but he would have to be there without a mask; which means she would know who he was and she most likely wouldn’t have that much trust with him, yet.

Overall her goal was to try to break up the dynamic duo that was Guy and Robert trying to figure out who Robin actually was. But this time, she just didn’t want to be alone at some governor-high-and-mighty party. Rising to her feet she placed the ball on her desk and left her office. At the door to the office that Guy and Robert were sharing she knocked on it before she got the howler to enter. Opening the door she gave the men an innocent smile. “Hello guys, can… can I talk to Robert for a moment?”
