Marian pressed her full lips together as she looked up at him with her big blue eyes through her black lashes. Why was she nervous? She should be better at this than she was but she actually enjoyed her time with him at the game and that that has effected how she walked to him.

She could understand his question about why she would want to choose him and she innocently rubbed the back of her neck with her hand, her gaze turned away from him as her cheeks turned pink. “I… uh,” She said softly, “Really enjoyed my time at the game and… there’s going to be a lot of snobby, stuffy people there so having someone I can… get along with, would allow me to enjoy the time.” Giving him a small nod, she turned her attention back to him giving him a gentle smile, “It’s going to be a dinner party with music afterwards so… dress clothes and an appetite is required.”

A small sigh left her at his agreement to go. “I appreciate you going with me, I’ll pick you up that way I can use the excuse that I’m driving to keep away from the alcohol that might be pushed my way.” A nod rose and fell her head as she stood up from her desk and gave him another smile. “I’ll see you Friday.”

The blonde finished her makeup at 5:15pm and walked out of her house locking the door behind her. Her blonde hair sat straightened down on her shoulders and her body was wrapped in a light blue strapless dress to the floor. Pulling out her phone she shot Robert a text, “On my way. I’ll be in light blue tonight.” With that she hit send and climbed into her car placing her clutch purse in her glove box and starting towards his house.

Once she arrived at the apartments she parked her car and climbed the stairs. Taking in a deep breathe in front of his door she gave it a knock. “Robert? Are you ready to go?”

Jonna smiled as she watched the fish bob-away. However his comment made her hazel eyes roll rather dramatically. “Don’t be like that! Besides I came prepared to not catch anything, at least for tonight. It just seemed safer than assuming everything would be alright.” She said with a laugh before listening to his story. “Sounds like you’ll be doing most of the fishing considering I don’t have the luck you’ve expressed.”

As expected the blonde let out a squeal of excitement at the thought of having more of the mac and cheese. It was hard to believe something like that could be so delicious. Then again Kevin did seem like a professional chief with talents are exceeding her own. A grin moved across her face as they started back towards camp but again, the sight of her tent compared to his just showed how different of worlds they truly lived in. His joke about bedrock made her giggle and she waited for him to finish his call.

However the call seemed rather short lived as he was hung up on rather abruptly. Between that and his flushed face she tilted her head to one side, her eyebrows pressing together in a curious-filled manner as he stared down at the text and instantly put his phone again. So… he prefers a phone call over a text message. Good to note.

“It wouldn’t hurt to start with a fire than there’s always the classic of making dinner followed by roasting marshmallows.” She said with a nod and a bright smile. As they started to build the fire she brought up a question. “You were saying something about your tent before you called Gary. What was that?”

James gave her gentle closed lips smile to Freya as she opened the door and he gently stepped inside and shut the door behind him. A smile moved across his face showing his straight white teeth as he watched her gently drink the coco he had brought her.

The conversation he had with Adrian related to both James’s work with college and how Freya was doing. James proudly reported that his studies had not interfered with his job and the information he shared seemed like it was useful for both James’s personal and professional life. It wasn’t long before the conversation moved to the party and much to James’s displeasure, not only was Freya going to attend but he was going to have to work the event as well. Depending on how to view this idea, it’s either a good thing… or a bad thing…

However, the information of who was going to be at the part was not something he was enlightened about until Freya told him and he stopped walking into the room for a moment. His face crunched together in thought, “No Freya, I had no idea.” He said shaking his head as he ran a large hand through his dark blue hair. His gaze moved from her to her cup, walking to her he gently took the cup from her hand as it was nearly empty and placed it on a nearby dresser.

Taking her by her hand he guided her to her bed and pulled her gently onto his lap as he sat down. One arm wrapped around her waist while the other hand gently rested against her head softly stroking her delicate head. “Don’t worry Freya, I will be there. I will protect you. You just… play the part and don’t fall for anyone else but me.” He said playfully as he gave her temple a gentle kiss. “Do you want me to tell about the situation? He and Annie would make good allies for keeping Alex away.”
