Cuddling with her all night felt like a dream. Normally they were fully clothed and holding each other through the night. Except this time around he was able to feel her head rest against his skin, her soft hair running against his skin and her small body cuddled up to him. Sighing softly he leaned down and kissed her until their hearts content; holding her together he whispered softly in her ear. “And you’re the best girlfriend.”

James held her through the night sleeping peacefully next to her for the first night in a long time. Even when he had to wake up early and force himself to leave the bed behind, he climbed back out her window after having one final longing look at her. What he would give to stay in that bed holding her… Sighing softly, he climbed back out her window and hurried through the courtyard back to his room on the ground floor in the worker’s quarters.

After making a quick change, the young man hurried to his duties to prepare breakfast for the master and the mistress. There were conversations about how the night went, how well Freya did and how much the visitors enjoyed the hospitality they provided. James rolled up his sleeves and began creating the breakfast layout for the small family that waited patiently in the dining room.

It should come as no surprise that the midnight blue haired young man came into the dining room wheeling in the cart with trays. “Thank you for allowing me to show you what I have learned thus far.” He said with a grateful bow before placing each tray down in front of them and lifting the lids in unison to show the plate beneath the covers. “An Italian breakfast features pancetta, Italian sausage, roasted mushroom and tomatoes with poached eggs and sourdough toast. The full veggie version is very filling with poached eggs, homemade beans, spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes plus sourdough toast.” He placed the lids back on the traveling tray and stepped back against the wall after pouring the master of the house a cup of coffee and Freya a glass of fresh orange juice.

His comment about finding them in a shop on the way here she beamed brightly at him. He was such a bright and fun guy, so much like her and it made her happy to find such a charming and fun spirit. Though he seemed a bit shy at times… that just made him all the more adorable; which in turn made her grin brightly.

Then he asked the question why she was out so late and she gave a small shrug. A gentle innocent smile moved across her face as she tucked her hands behind her back. The embarrassment crawled across her face as her cheeks turned red. “I… I thought it would be the best idea to stay at the ranch so if we wanted to leave early tomorrow we could.” She said with a nod, refusing to admit to him that she lived and paid rent at the ranch… much less up in the rafters.

“Besides,” She responded with a grin, her hands loosened up behind her and she pointed up. “Nothing beats that view.” Her head rolled up to show the amazingly star sky overhead with constellations viewable. “Actually…” Reaching over, she took his large hand in a small one. “Come with me, just a view minutes, I promise.” With that he pulled him back around the corner and down the barn toward the end until they arrived at a ladder. “You’re not scared of heights right?” She asked playfully as she climbed up.

At the roof she offered her hand again. “The best view ever.” She said brightly.
