> > Well, you have my respect either way. I dont remember much from 3-5 range very well, barely at all actually. But that is neither here nor there. Younger kids I cant stand either, so its all good there. > > Haha, thank you. ;; I actually considered teaching high school, but I...wasn't sure if that would be better or worse + ...pretty sure all high school students tower over me so that's kind of awkward. > > In either case, how is Navy life? I can't say I know much about it, nor do I actually know anyone in the Navy. u__u Its had its pro's and con's, like anything really. I can't speak nearly as much as some people, I'm still in training (Been that way for over a year now Dx). I'm aiming for officer though, got some ideas on how to hop tracks right now (Being enlisted currently). I'd say its been a good choice for me, taking everything so far into consideration. Steady pay, housing, medical and dental provided, education options, overall works well for me. Even if I'm going to vanish for periods of time once I get to a real command instead of training (Submarine volunteer, personally).
> > So your a teacher than Rosa? > > Working on becoming one! ouo Right now, I'm just volunteering at two elementary schools to read with kids every week. > > > Well, you have my respect as one who deals with those maddening little beasts called children. I can't stand them, but thankfully, the Navy life doesn't have much dealings with kids. Not my part of it, at any rate. > > It's definitely not everyone's thing, and I was honestly _surprised_ to discover that I quite liked them because I didn't think it was my kind of thing either for a while. :'DD Truthfully, I don't think I'd be able to handle younger kids very well, but I do like the grade 3-5 range! They're generally not too bad! ovo > > ...My experiences with younger age groups at summer camp were a completely different matter. |: Well, you have my respect either way. I dont remember much from 3-5 range very well, barely at all actually. But that is neither here nor there. Younger kids I cant stand either, so its all good there.
> > Well, depends on who you see how well that would work out. > > > > > I suppose. But making one that doesn't work out works is always a good fling, right? Hmm, valid point I suppose. But some of the gals in this group might not take well to that kind of thing.
> I have a feeling that I'll grow to swoon over the first female I interact with in the RP... Well, depends on who you see how well that would work out. > Phew, home at last! Reading with my students this week went much better than the last. uvu > > My apologies, Asura! I know what it's like to be left behind (most of my closest online friends live on the opposite side of the globe, so timezones get in the way a lot), and I'm sure we'll be more mindful of it in the future if you'd like to continue! As for right now, as Windel said, you're welcome to have Lorne follow after Marianne and join the current little group there if you'd like? > > Otherwise, I can always offer up Rylan for interaction as well! ( ouo)/ Well, you have my respect as one who deals with those maddening little beasts called children. I can't stand them, but thankfully, the Navy life doesn't have much dealings with kids. Not my part of it, at any rate.
Yea, I take full blame for this whole mess, I just ended up a bit impatient and made the suggestion that triggered it. You have my apologies on that.
Penn honestly had no idea what to say when he was put on the spot by Iowa. Sure, he ranked individually well, and that meant individually, not as a team. He never was good at organizing people, they were, in ways, far more volatile then anything he would ever handle, and not in a predictable or safe manner. So he kind of had no ability to say anything, nothing that would have been useful in the slightest to the planning phase at all. Of course, the praise was far too kind, he was just good at making things explode, that was all. "Far too kind South, that rankings board doesn't mean a damn thing. I can make things explode, and that's rightly about it. I just apparently made pretty enough fireworks to entertain the monkey's in command." Penn was quick to back South and her suggestion on letting Cal have his go at doing his job, being a tactician and strategist. It let him focus on what he did best, rather than having to play at being some glorious leader. That, and while he wasn't aware, his thoughts were somewhat inline with South's. Cal had gotten screwed over in the tests, so he deserved a real chance at leadership. And not get shoved out because of some number on a board. "Seconded, Cal, you have the floor now. Good thinking on your part South, I would certainly think.
Sorry, kinda got distracted and forgot to post. I'll have one up ASAP within the next hour.
> > @Rosa I thought you've delved deep into dreamland. > > > > Maybe not yet? > > Haha, not yet! I should probably go soon though. u__u I keep nodding off at my computer. Your fine, seems like a perfectly natural thing to be doing at one's computer on a regular basis.
> I don't have anything planned for Rylan or Thalia in way of romance. I'm just going to play them and let things go as they will, I suppose. ovo Sounds about right for Jerod as well, sure as sure.
Heh, this should be entertaining to see regardless.
