Dear god, not the skeletons with guns in their hands! 0_o > > > > ..........is _that_ what sleep deprivation brings? > > > > _Concerning_. :C > > Indeed. I've been subjected to it myself on many occasions. It's gets worse when the Mario Dinosaurs pop up.... Crab demons, gunner skeletons, and yoshi's oh my!
I miss so much when I'm off playing games >_>
Marianne gave her opinion on the matter, as to what she was doing and why, and Jerod looked at her, and back to the archer girl, to Jacob, and back to her again. He repeated this a few times, his brain processing what she said and trying to figure out what kind of reasoning would have brought about that sheer jump in lunacy and conspiracy theory. Blinking, he shook his head to clear his mind and finally responded to Marianne, having shaken most of the confusion from his brain and moving forward. "Lass, ye got yerself a hell'uva theory, I ca' say tha' much. As fer doing somethin' lass, do ye think tamperin' would be wise? If there be a hex, I cannae' rightly say if ye could see it o' not. Might be some sort o' failsafe if she get mucked with overmuch, aye?" Jerod was really just trying to find a way to prevent this from exploding off into some insane amount of violence in a situation that may or may not be innocent. Before he could continue though, the pieces started moving themselves, at an insane pace at that, with almost no losses from the lad's side. That would have been impressive, if it didn't spark a theory he could share with the dark mage lass. Thinking on the matter, he finally spoke again, using gestures to point out things, leaning over to point through the hole in the tent, the concept of personal space currently lost on the mercenary. "Look at tha' bloody mess on th' board! Me think's this ca' be a sort o' mind chess? Tha' orb doesn' look like anythin' the archer would carry, aye? I reckon tha' orb is part o' the chess set, savvy now lass?" Jerod seemed genuinely focused on the situation at hand, as much as it seemed like paranoia on the part of Marianne, he wouldn't dismiss the theory and opinion from her. After all, as impossible as it might seem, she could be right. Better safe than sorry, especially with random folks who just showed up briefly and started picking fights within moments. So he was humoring the dark mage lass far more than he normally would consider doing. The girl came to though, and he raised an eyebrow as he commented. "Well, angry lass, ye see tha' leader all incapacitated like, ye are gonna investigate, aye?"
> I feel like a harem anime character, with awesome confident males around and me a little wimp with a cool skills and a title. Even if at least one person is solely dedicated to making snarky comments about you and any relation you have.

Well now I feel all sorts of dumb. > I had to read it a second time before I realize what happened, so don't feel too bad.
Marianne's comment on helping with the inventory got a slow nod. Yea, lad champion had asked them to coral people and help, hadn't he? And it seemed like the royal certainly had the situation handled, and to be frank, Jerod wasn't a fan of hanging around bluebloods. His time in Ferox kind of settled that. So when Marianne waltzed off, Jerod smirked and chuckled, offering half a wave to the royal and knightess. "Ach, the dark spell spitter lass be right. Ye go coral th' rest o' the party, I'll go an' help Marianne an' the others with the inventory, aye? And have yer fun entertainin yer blueblood friend there, don't be makin' too much noise!" Laughing loudly as he walked off after the Marianne, Jerod took his time catching up towards the direction the dark mage had gone. Ferox was not somewhere he ever wanted to return to. He supposed, looking at how others acted, that it was hardly surprising that each person here had their own secrets of some sort or another. Didn't mean he had to like it though, and he wouldn't, he would probably end up griping at Jacob for his own amusement and distraction. He would have to try and avoid any meetings or time spent in Ferox itself as much as possible. Get the job done, and get out. Less time he spent there, the better. Lost in his own thoughts he nearly stumbled right into Marianne as she was hissing to herself. Oh, great, something else has got her stark raving mad, er, madder again. So he glanced into the hole as well, noting the dark magic charging in her hand, wondering what was pissing her off so much. The rude archer girl and the champion were sitting across some possessed chess board. That was odd, but their utterly blank and lifeless expressions were also very odd, and he muttered something to Marianne, quiet enough to make an honest attempt at being quiet. "Er, lass, wha' in the blazin' hells are ye up to? And what are they doin'? Strangest game o' chess I ever bloody well seen..."
> > > Heh, well he would technically be fulfilling his duty of bringing her to Jacob at least. Then promptly leave and tell the tactician that she's his problem now. > > > > And I feel Marianne hates Meline for no good reason besides too yandere. > > She was actually fine with her bumping in and yelling. When she saw Meline in Jacob's room, [Diabolus Ex Machina](http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/DiabolusExMachina) made her brain overreact. Jerod would feel obligated to help keep violence from occurring, probably. If for no other reason than to keep a steady paycheck.
> I was actually tempted to type "square", lol. If she had said love square out loud, that would have created amusing confusion. Hell, if she had said love triangle out loud, that would have created amusing embarrassment. Either way, it was well played. Now, I need to figure out how I am going to have Jerod act. His orders were to coral, er, make sure Marianne gets to the inventory. Which implies following, but I'm not sure thats his healthiest option right now xD He wouldn't know that though, would he? And she beckoned to follow as well, so that does settle it I suppose.
Reasonable enough, sure as sure. > She gently moved past them before beckoning them to follow. Whether they would or not was entirely up to them, but Marianne would at least put an effort to help the group as a whole. They probably wouldn’t though, as Jerod was now caught between a romance circle currently consisting of Isacc and Thalia. Well at least _she_ was working hard. > Hey now, Jerod is not one for circles. They are hardly his favorite shape, after all.
