Many moons ago, in the far lands of Japan, there is a tale of Honor, of Vengeance and of the very code of the Samurai. Two Daimyo's, as different as the Sun and the Moon, occupied two halves of a province. The Southern Daimyo, a grim and dangerous man known as Shimazuma Sadayu, was a man who commanded great legions of average soldiers and few Samurai. The Bushido abiding warriors rarely were inclined to be sworn to such a man, so he turned to the Oni and the enslavement and dealings of such beings to provide powerful and dangerous generals and members of his standing forces. He also holds the majority of the land within the province, most of the farm and cities are under his banner, making him a major powerhouse on the larger scale political situation within Japan itself. However, his land is not consolidated under his banner, something that generates a venomous and vile rage within the heart of this already dark, corrupt Daimyo.

The Northern Daimyo, Nakayuki Hattori, was a man of standing conviction and determination within the province and attracted a small core of highly skilled retainers of all sorts, including a small standing guard of Samurai warriors. Enough so that the Daimyo required little in the way of conventional, standing soldiers. Within his holdings, there are enough small farms and unique resources that allow him to provide enough resources to trade and arm his Samurai and retainers with high quality equipment and training. The Southern Daimyo had made several attempts to claim these northern holdings, due to their strategic and mineral value, however, the fortress that the Northern Daimyo constructed and the high quality skill and arms wielded by his retainers and samurai easily trumped the normal soldiers and even groups of lesser Oni sent to try and overwhelm the Northern Daimyo in sheer power. This also failed, so the Southern Daimyo resorted to trickery and underhanded tactics.

A gift was sent to the Northern Daimyo as an offering of peace and repayment for damages caused by the attempts to take the northern holdings that still outlasted the attempts by the Southern Diamyo to take them. For all inspection and analysis, it was an innocent gift. But when the son, heir to Daimyo Hattori, picked up the gemstone, it shattered in a detonation of vile energy. One of the retainers of the Daimyo, a Monk well versed in defeating evil spirits and banishing Oni, saved the boy's life through spirit binding chains. The attempt on his son's life was nothing short of enraging to the Northern Daimyo, and he demanded the Southern Daimyo present himself for punishment. The Southern Daimyo indeed arrived, but it was well beyond just himself and his honor guard, which were replaced with powerful lords amongst the Oni. An army of spirit influenced soldiers, Oni soldiers, and the Daimyo Sadayu himself, in evil armor and bearing weapons of dark power. The clash between the North and South were both massive and impressive, the outmanned forces of the North defending their Daimyo's keep.

In the end of the several day long siege, the blade of an assassin brought the Daimyo Hattori down, a dishonorable strike against the Daimyo. A handful of Samurai and Retainers spirited the son away, new heir to the title of Daimyo, but with his arm cursed, and lord slain in a most dishonorable manner, vengeance was required for the fallen Daimyo Hattori. Honor demanded it now. And it was suspected that the slaying of the Southern Daimyo would lift the curse on the son of Daimyo Hattori's arm, so a matter of survival for the Hattori bloodline, and vengeance for the fallen Daimyo, were involved in slaying the Southern Daimyo, who now claimed lordship over all the province, unaware for now of the escape of the handful of those loyal to the Hattori line, as well as the last remaining heir to the bloodline. These few samurai and retainers were honorbound to stand by the son of Daimyo Hattori in his bid for vengeance and reclaiming his birthright, and for the sake of Vengeance, it was time to make their plans. Gather allies and march on the Daimyo Sadayu, or make the bid alone in a strike against the man quickly. Whatever the plan, it must bring down the Oni Daimyo, as he was now known, for not just vengeance but all of Japan.

So, each player will be a part of the Daimyo Hattori's surviving group of samurai and retainers, who ensured that the son of Hattori would survive to see the light of another day. The role of the son will be played by myself, but beyond that, there are plenty of roles to be filled. The son of Daimyo Hattori's survival will be complicated by the fact that his arm remains cursed and bound in spirit chains from a court monk, so revenge will have to be balanced with survival of the last heir of the Hattori line.

However, a few rules on what is being allowed should be discussed real briefly, as well as covering general conduct and such. I will also be providing a CS for everyone to work with and fill out, feel free to expand on it as you will, but do fill out the given fields at least.

Before Stukov could say a word about Smiles grabbing the front of his shirt, he was gone into the Warp for a split second. Even more unpleasant outside a ship experiencing the same thing than inside of it, and the sense of getting stretched in every direction was just unpleasant, and sickening to put it mildly. When they first came out he staggered a bit, getting his legs under him as he looked around to take in his surroundings, ignoring the screaming priest for a few moments before looking at him. "Warp spawn would have already been on you, Father, so calm yourself. We're just passing through."

Before he could say anything to Smiles they were gone through the warp again, that very same pulling in all directions was still as unpleasant as before. But once the void spat them back out, they found themselves in some kitchen area with equally surprised staff and he smirked under his rebreather, throwing up another comment to keep his mind off the rather harsh feeling of warp travel before being yanked back into the warp by the psyker. "Just passing through, go ahead and burn something to spite the fat nobles."

And with that, once more Stukov was flying through the warp with Smiles before they finally landed near the Gallery, and he stood up and caught his breath as the psyker spoke on how she normally got the teleport right on the first try and he managed a shrug as he got his bearings straight, ignoring the mailman and his rather surprised look. "Reckon you aren't used to moving an extra body Smiles, might not have helped. I do appreciate not getting lost along the way though, that was not a feeling I enjoy. Looks like it was faster than walking anyways, detours and all, so well done on that. Suppose we should catch up with our Boss then, yea?"

Stukov didn't just outright spout Inquisitor, which would have blown cover most likely, and reverted to his typical nickname for the Inquisitor. Fit his role in the group as their leader, after all. But that was neither here nor there, so he stood ready to continue escorting Smiles the rest of the way to the art gallery from where they were at, as he had indeed volunteered for in the grand scheme of things.
This should be an interesting new group of lads and lassies, sure as sure. Might not type out Jerod's accent this time around (considering its near illegibility), but who knows?
I'll have a post up after I get back to my laptop.
Heh, minor changes and tweaks to be had, it seems. And I would elect Caroline to the chopping block over Andres, just saying.
@dndragons I personally don't have a problem with either, frankly.

@dndragonsYou are welcome to play a female character, and while the women are typically relegated to housewife status when it comes to nobility, there are certainly exceptions (Onna-bugeisha for example), and in general consider women capable of filling many roles that the males do, beyond the noted exception in the nobility aspect of things.

Glad to have you both, TauGirl and Tsar Gatto, sure as sure.
Most excellent, most excellent indeed.
Stukov nodded as he made sure he had all his belongings, drink was paid for, and with everything taken care of he made his way towards the psyker where she had indicated. He had to wonder what the woman had in mind for a shortcut to get them where they were going, the main floor in specific, but he had already given his word that he would be accompanying Smiles along the way to the gallery. She was armed up, and helmeted again, which would make facial reading difficult to say the least, but he glanced over the edge of the way she opened, noting the rather sheer drop rather calmly.

Heights did not over bother Stukov much, or he hadn't assumed so. Seeing the world and being threatened with being hauled out into the void of space, versus plummeting under the unrelenting force of planetary gravity, seemed to be two different things entirely. Unnerving to think of how one might plummet such a way, but not in any paralyzing manner. But certainly unnerving. Probably some form of warp trickery was planned to guide them down to the main level. But she seemed to offer some choice in the matter, whether it was warp space or real space.

"Both have their problems, Smiles, personal preference remains in the physical world. But whatever gets us down there, as best as you see fit, I'll manage. Won't be my first time coming face to face with warp space..." Referencing his first ship's Gellar fields failing and letting the Warp into the ship itself. Not a pleasant thought to cross his mind as he stood by the psyker and considered how she would go about this shortcut of hers. She had recalled that staff of hers via telekinesis, or whatever it was called, so perhaps a grander form of that trickery? He didn't know and kept his peace, waiting for the orders from Smiles on how to go about this little trick of hers. Should be a show for the other arrivals of the group, regardless.
