Melfenius is a rather pessimistic person yet they go on without dwelling too much on it. A pessimism of the mind compared to an optimism of actions. She is a do-gooder, always willing to lend a hand, despite the fact that her ability to do so is somewhat limited due to her appearance. This has caused her a sort of detachment to people, where she expects them to be scared of her, or if they do act normally, that they're covering up their fear to make her feel better.

Biography

Melfenius was a solider for the Kingdom of Bariura, serving faithfully and vigorously since she signed on for as long as she lived. Which is to say not very long at all. Melfenius hadn't made it much further than her twenties when she was sent out with her squad to investigate some disturbances credited to rumors of enemy forces near. They stopped by the town for an update on the situation. However when they arrived they found the town seemingly empty, devoid of life. Then the undead came. What seemed like an uncountable swarm came from every direction. They took refuge in a building that looked like it was used as the town hall. Their valiant struggle was in vain and eventually they all died. Some time later Melfenius woke up. She was in the town hall, all alone, the bodies of her comrades vanished. When she looked at herself she saw she was merely bones. Confused she began heading back to explain what happened. However the sight of her undead body caused those who saw her to either run or attack. Melfenius quickly gave up hope of warning anyone about the danger and took to wearing long clothing that obscured her body, allowing her to pose as normal. Her body needed no food, no sleep, and she couldn't have gotten a job if she wanted to. So Melfenius wandered, attempting to do good with her fighting skills wherever she went, thwarted whenever her true form was discovered and she was forced to leave.

Very much so. Everything from normal folks, to giants, to fishfolks of every type you can imagine, and dragons. Then we get into devil fruits which you might want to take a quick look around the wiki for. One piece is kind of wacky in general and adding to the fact that this is an AU you have a lot of options for character creation.

On Stranger Tides - A Pirate Fantasy RP

Seems like we have a plan then. Create some pirate crews and possibly a marine one based on how it goes and start adventuring from island to island with the GM making the first one and everyone else continuing from there. Next question is do we have the crews made before the RPs start or perhaps 'meet in a tavern' on the first island and form the crews there?

Tbh the game is kind of like darksouls in that there's a lot of lore available, but it comes in pieces and fragments from items and other things so if you don't put in the work to piece it together it's very hard to get in idea of the lore. Plus with the time skip a lot of the lore isn't really relevant anyway, so just thinking of it as a basic fantasy world will probably be fine.

What power level are we looking at for starting? We going to start out like the 6 heros at barely superhuman fighters? Do you plan on using stars to indicate our evolution progress? Just a few questions to help character building and understanding how we plan on progressing.

To be fair for this one they could want it to work on effects that remove from the field. It would be a new effect and stupid considering the amount of power but there it is. Also you're... a little overbearing, given you're not the GM perhaps wording as suggestions or requests would be better :<
