Well, some of it would have to be exposed if you intended to pull it out.
As soon as the loading ramp touched the bay's floor, Sirka headed inside to get a feel for the vessel. Like most ships, especially freighters, it felt annoyingly cramped. The ceiling was barely above her head, and she had to duck through doorways. However, that was nothing she was not used to. More important was that it seemed to be in acceptable condition and would get them safely to their destination, as long as their pilot was as good as she was supposed to be.

For the moment, Sirka took some time to look around the ship and get a feel for its layout. It wasn't a particularly large vessel, nor was its layout particularly unusual, so it was not a long process. She dropped off her heavy repeater in the cargo hold so she would not be forced to lug it around, at least for a few minutes. Another detail she noticed was that there were two less rooms than there were crew members. If it ended up that they actually were going to be running more missions together, that was something they might have to figure out.

Eventually, Sirka wandered up to the cockpit where their apparent leader had gone. Sirka did not really care who she was taking orders from, as long as those orders made some kind of sense. Sirka was not a leader and did not pretend to be, so she had no sort of issue with pride that would prevent her from listening...while on the job, at least. Outside of the mission, when relaxed and on her own time, she she did not respond well to being bossed around; it was one of the largest reasons that she would be ill-suited for any sort of military. If this Sai turned out to be that sort of leader, she would be in for a definite surprise.

Sirka leaned up against the wall at the entrance to the cockpit. "So, I take it you think we'll still be working together after this job?"
Seems there are six rooms, but eight of us. Someone will need to share, though I wouldn't recommend sharing with Sirka. She'll take up most of the space by herself.
It did not require a detailed observation for Avatar to determine that the situation was not tactically favorable. The gunfire began 2.38 seconds after the first of its allies fled through the open door, and casualties were immediate. Three of the Turian representatives who had been relatively close to the door had started to run as soon as they were warned, but two of them were shot in the back before they could make it through the door.

By this point, Avatar had secured the shotgun from the guard it had incapacitated, so it returned fire on the group of two Turians and a Batarian who were focusing most prominently on the fleeing dignitaries. As it was a semi-automatic shotgun, Avatar was able to fire two shots before they could react. Unfortunately, at the current range, the first shot was not sufficient to deplete its target’s shields, so most of the pellets impacted the shield, and the remaining ones which penetrated did not produce a fatal wound. Regardless, the incoming fire was enough that the Batarian and the wounded Turian moved to spread out, though they had no cover which to move to. Meanwhile, the other Turian’s omni-tool activated, delivering an overload attack to Avatar. Its shields were more robust than the Turian it had stunned with a similar attack, so its mobile platform remained undamaged, but its shields were entirely depleted.

Avatar fired another shot for the purpose of suppression before quickly falling back through the door. However, instead of retreating completely, it made use of one of the only cover positions available by hiding behind the metal frame on the right side of the door. It had to take a few moments to allow its shields to recover, during which time the battle within only grew more chaotic. Several of the enemy guards in the middle of the room had formed a wedge between the allied force, forcing half of the Citadel representatives to trap themselves in a corner on the opposite side of the room. On the far side of the room, two of the Quarian representatives had been grabbed by a group enemies and were being held with weapons to their head. The Alliance soldiers nearest to them were unable to fire without hitting them, and while even Avatar could not hear what was being said over the gunfire elsewhere in the room, there was a strong probability that they were demanding surrender in exchange for letting them live. Though, in the rest of the soldiers in the room were simply engaged in direct firefights.

Had the situation remained constant, allied forces would have had an approximately 70% chance of victory, given their superior training and equipment, but on the second level of the room, enemy reinforcements quickly moved in. From all sides, they started to fire down from above, quickly turning the favor of the battle in their direction. They focused on soldiers first, though some fired at diplomats trying to flee. Avatar set out a combat drone to harass hostiles on the second floor and fired on those trying to block escape, but the enemy’s numbers were now too great for victory to be a reasonable possibility. Retreat was the only option with a potentially favorable outcome.
I've been waiting to see if anyone else was going to post. In particular, I am wondering if Hailfire is still around. I recall him saying he wanted to stick around, but that has been a while. I am going to try to contact him. If I can't, I'll move Ashley some place else for the moment.
"Certainly, I considered the possibility that this vial was planted. To do so would be a good way to shift blame onto another. That is why I made sure to come here with you without first telling you. As well, why would the traitor place it in such a well-hidden location if it was not meant to remain hidden? Planting evidence is only effective if said evidence is found, and this hiding spot could have easily been missed. Finally, this rag bears your scent, the scent of the one who I instructed to search your room, and no one else's. I am open to alternative explanations for what transpired, but this collection of evidence points to you." Meesei answered. Even now, she was certainly willing to accept that her accusation could be wrong if she was presented with strong enough evidence against it.

"Harriet, if you are the traitor, I advise you confess now. The deadline I gave for which you could have received exile has passed, but to do so would still be favorable. Even a traitor can receive redemption in the eyes of Hircine, if given the chance. Otherwise, you are going to need to do more than simply say it could have been planted. You need to produce evidence for your claims, in this matter, and for the rest of your trial. You are still free to build your case and find evidence; that right is one of which I will not deprive you." She added.
Meesei didn't remove the cork, she left it in and was looking for scents on the part on the outside.
Meesei lifted up the rag, taking in its scent deeply. As she stood back to her feet, she turned and locked eyes with Harriet. "It is not so much what I see, really. Of course, I did have someone search your room earlier, and what that person found was, well, troubling is an understatement." Meesei answered as she pulled the vial from her satchel. By this point, the eyes of all her witnesses were on the pair, which would give multiple accounts of whatever transpired.

"This vial contains traces of poison, and was found in a hiding spot under that broken tile. Interestingly, this rag, found in the same place, bears your scent. And, more disturbingly, the symbol this vial bears matches certain depictions of Clavicus Vile. What have you to say in response to this?" Meesei questioned. She kept her eyes locked on Harriet, watching for any hint of a violent move. If she tried something rash, Meesei had a plan to ensure she would not be touched. At the same time, she brought the vial itself up to her snout to take in its scent as well. As far as Meesei knew, the only ones to have handled the vial were herself, Gorlak, and the traitor, so those would be the only scents present as well. Since she had the rag to compare it to, Meesei knew exactly what scent she was looking for. The smooth glass would not hold a scent so easily, but the cork, will all of its nooks and crannies, would. Meesei expected to find Gorlak's scent, along with Harriet's at about the same strength as on the rag. Meesei's scent would also of course be on it, but it was rare that one could detect their own scent.
Ahh, I find the split personality in Hidan will certainly fuck things up for people. Imagine, us making a ceasefire with an overpowering enemy that killed many of us, and then Scourge comes and tries to kill or maim the negotiator. Brings a tear to my eye.

As long as you don't overdo it. I'm in another RP with a character who does that, and not even intentionally. It has gotten to the point that I'm more annoyed than anything. Having him act out could add spice to the RP, but too much spice and it just becomes unpleasant.
"Maybe, but I don't see it as worth the risk, at least not just for the purpose of retrieving my belongings. Perhaps if I am tasked with going to the city for espionage, then I will be able to retrieve it, but it doesn't seem worth it otherwise. For now, making a new set is probably the better idea. Unfortunately, materials are still a problem. I don't really have anything I can trade; all I have is what I was carrying with me when you found me. Hunting for leather is a viable option, but I would need to have the time to spare in order to do it. I suspect we are going to be rather busy for the foreseeable future." Tarentek responded.

Shrugging his shoulders, Tarentek decided to let go of the idea for the moment. "I guess it isn't too much of a concern for now anyway. I'm not planning on going into heavy combat just yet, and my robes are in reasonably good condition. I might need to patch them up soon, as they did get kind of scuffed up when I was wandering the desert, but they should work well enough."
